Cab rides is the only time the illusion works well. More cab views, please. Preferably the entire tour - with neat tunnel tubing on the inside. But the cabviews here are good, the right speed. This is what gives life to the entire layout. Cabviews, cabviews, cabviews and then again MORE CABVIEWS...
I would love to see more of these train sets include "moving" cars. I've seen another set that the car's did move, I think they utilize magnets... The set looks even more realistic when the cars move as well... Maybe they will develop a technology that will give movement to the people figures... Fun to see what will come next...
Very large layout lots of great scenery. Just a pity that the trains start and stop much too quickly, (toyish) and the e locs with pantos down. Surely they could program cv 3 and 4.
I really like the professional video work, a good choice of close ups and wide angle. It would even add some if you could slow down the cab video so the side track scenery didn't fly by so fast. EXCELLENT!
Great video, especially like the fair grounds and the video of the Large station and train action in and out of it. It looks so real!!!! Just got to the cyclist, wow!!
Is it normal practice in Germany to run freight trains through major stations and stop at platforms? I would think freight would be routed to bypass tracks.
Every time you see Marklin, the trains are racing,.... why is that ? In the early day, Marklin had to race around the tracks because if not, they simply stop running. That "problem" was solved by the coming of the digital system and STILL,... the trains are racing around. Now it's no longer a technical problem, now it's simply an attitude problem of the general Marklin user. For me, Marklin should not be so proud on that, after all, they should put an example on the table, especially when you want to steal the show with a huge design like this. Nothing wrong with the design, it's just the "drivers" attitude that needs to change. They are still "playing" with trains.
Märklin is the only company (I know of) that still uses middle rails, sacrificing aesthetics for functionality. The reason why the trains are so fast is the same reason Märklin was chosen in the first place.
Farid Rachmanyah I am not irritated by it, it is just an observation. If a user does not mind the middle rail, he probably does not mind the trains not moving on scale.
Schwarzer Ritter there is some old brand using 3 rail system, try google lionel train system, marklin middle track is better camoflage than lionel 3 rail system. marklin rail is design to not to easy derail at high speed, but you can modified it to run on 2 rail system.
Maybe some locomotives go faster than in reality but some others go according to real speed, the DB 103 use to cruise at 200 Km/h, it would be ridiculous at low speed. Even a steam locomotive like the German class 01 used to cruise at 120 Km/h, most electric locomotives could cruise at higher speeds. Some cargo train go slow, specially up hill but a passenger train at low speed bores me.
Fantastic. The video is really excellent !! Could you tell me in which city of Germany is this exhibition? I would love to travel to meet her! Thank you very much.
Maybe you haven't noticed in the video, but not everywhere the catenary was ready, so it's no use putting up the pantographs. This video was made for 7 years, your question is 4 years ago. Now (end 2021) the complete model has the wires ready. Go visit and look for yourself.
Thank you for the information regarding the video camera you recommend for the shots. While the camera is great your presentation leaves a lot to be desired. Yes I made videos of my large layout with the cheap equipment available years ago. I first made a car that has the best wheel sets I could purchase. CV wheel sets have sprung axels that absorb all road bed variations Not sure if they're in business now.
Great video, especially like the fair grounds
8:43 nice idea, that rusty abandoned steamer. Really effective.

Excellent Art forms and concepts. I understand that this is work in Progress.--
Very Well Done.👏👏👏👏
I love the old rusted out train at 9:00 minutes in
Love the blast furnace....
Super reportage avec une très belle qualité d'image. Bravo
+PILENTUM
What did you use to take the video from 0:17 until 1:00? I really liked that part of the video.
This one's very cool I love the industrial and urban theme....
Me and my dad have tons for these trains

Absolutely astounding!! Thanks for sharing this wonderful layout!! Class A!!
Beautiful but those trains are moving too fast over the switches and during switching moves.
Very nice 😊
One of the most beautiful creations i have ever seen. Congratulations
This layout is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Where is this layout? Is there a web site associated with it? Thank you for any additional information.
"Modelbahn Odenwald" in Fürth,
20 km North of Heidelberg, Germany.

Greetings from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿 and stay healthy 😷.
I love the coal trains.
Starting from 33.26. What station is that? Any brands selling? Or is it custom made?
It's from Kibri. Every model train shop in Western Europe can supply you with that.
very effective illusion of scale detail -
especially in cab views -
the occasional humans look like giants
Where do I buy a HO station that big with those arched roofings?
It's produced by Kibri. You get it in every model train-shop in Western Europe.
piletum i love you videos

Schwarzer Ritter yes the middle rail is so irritating tough, big name, die hard user, what do you expect?

😁😀👍👍👍👍👍🌹

Thank you very much.
This is Marklin and no pantographs are deployed? Why do they even sell electric locos?
Im Dauerbetrieb ist das nicht so zuverlässig und fehleranfällig. Allerdings hätte man das nur für das Video durchaus machen können...
Maybe you haven't noticed in the video, but not everywhere the catenary was ready, so it's no use putting up the pantographs.
