I drive a 2000 Corvette convertible, dark Navy blue metallic with Oak rag top and interior. I've rebuilt the engine with all X06 upgrades to the heads/valves and a stage 1 cam. Of course I had to have new X pipes and mufflers (Flow Max). I've restored the exterior which was in good shape to begin with. New top and seat covers with complete restoration of the Sports Seats mechanics and electrical assembly. Total rebuild of front end with X06 shocks and Michelin Pilot tires. I've become obsessed with this car and driving it gives me a new lease on life at age 70. This car is amazing. I've had a number of project cars over my life and this one is the best yet.
I own a convertible and have the most fun cruising with my club. It's a blessing to own a vette ; never take it for granted. Great job with video!

You are so right Chuck, you save up to buy that dream car then want to park in the Garage to keep the mileage off I don't think so. Drive it to enjoy it just like your doing I know I would.

Just got back from Corvettes at Carlisle, I think there was 11 Corvettes from my Club that did a Cruise together, had a great trip, We already booked for next year maybe we will see you and be able to shake a hand 😎 we met streetspeed717 and cgarner252, I just turned 71 years old and still going strong...I’m Blessed for sure...love all you young guys keeping our hobby alive, Thanks for what you do,

Well since 1969 Corvette coups have outsold the convertibles to the tune of about 4 to 1 ratio when the Convertible was returned to the lineup in 1986. I own a 2005 Monterey Red Convertible 1 of only 359 made that year. I just bought ZR-1 chrome aftermarket rims for it in the stock size and just transferred the tires over. My original polished stockers had acid etching down on the spokes around the rim part but that is expected on a used Vette. Found out I still got the original F1 Eagles out back which makes them 13+ years old tires. So replacements are on the list for next year. I have to say the black c5 z06 was my aesthetic favorite. Gorgeous.
Coupe for me, I never even remove the targa top, Black wheels, I had the chrome rims on my C6 GS stripped and black powder coated 2 weeks after I bought it and of course my C7 has all black trim and wheels, as always thumbs up !

Went to one in Indy, Bloomington Gold Corvette show. What show was the one you talked about? Even got yo drive my corvette on the Indy 500 track was really cool
Corvettes at Carlisle in PA is the biggest one in the US. A must attend at least once.
Great vlog, great trip, and really unique restaurant! I don't have a vette club close by, Cincinnati about 4 hrs away, we do have a car club locally but they are mainly classic older shows and not much more. So I drive whenever I get the chance, I've made it my get away travel car since it gets awesome gas mileage! So keep the club footage coming, I'll live vicariously with you and your club!!!
Good vlog Chuck, I loved it and yes I can't wait! Being an old Corvette owner I always enjoyed tooling around town. People loved the car a candie Apple Red Metalflake. At 23 I was in hog heaven driving a 64 Stingray with a removable hard top.

Hi Chuck, with the ceramic coating you have on both of the vette, do you still get rock chips on the car ? I have 2018 grandsport didn't drive much only have 800 miles on it but there are so many imperfections I probably have to get use to it and drive the car lol
Any vette that is driven is going to have rock chips because if you hit something at 115mph it’s goin to leave a mark 😁😁

Chuck, I’m definitely a convertible guy. Had a 2004 LeMans blue convertible and now drive a ‘16 Corvette racing yellow/black convertible. Moved to Texas from the Northeast and can’t get enough of the sun except when I visit the dermatologist. 😆

I like the fact that i can take top off of the C6 if i want too. I like chrome the best but i think the black wheels on the black Mamba the Zo6 and the Grand Sport r super nice.

Not into chrome to be quite honest and not a fan of convertibles. In my local area, I would say about 65-70% are convertible Corvettes. I’m much more a fan of blacked out wheels with the hardtop coupe look. That, plus a nice tint just looks awesome. Anyway, these were some great shots here Chuck 👍🏼

Chuck the maroon c5 convertible corvette has the special magnesium wheels which Are lightweight and special to the c5 gen. I'm a fan of the black wheels with outstanding colored calipers. Great blog Chuck!

Cars are made to be driven 🤷🏼♂️I know someone who has a 2016 Corvette and he has 11 miles on it. I said why did you buy it if you don’t drive it.He said it’s an investment and he likes to look at it. I said what a shame it’s not doing any good Sitting it’s bad for the car.Investment 🤔I’m not sure it’s a good one. I drive my Camaro SS daily and keep it spotless I would say ocd clean.Thanks for all your time and effort you put into the channel 👍🏻😎

Great Vlog Chuck, Marissa and I had a Fabulous time at Carlisle! I met all of the You Tubers except for StreetSpeed717, we just missed him. But, as always it was amazing, first time for Marissa. Out of all those Corvettes as far as the eye can see, I only saw maybe 5 Carbon 65s!! It's a great show to attend. However, you will definitely kick yourself going without FEARLIS!! I would maybe just take your sweet time getting there, but definitely BRING FEARLIS!! General Lee Out!!
