The Candace Owens Show: Marc Lamont Hill | Candace Owens Show

- Is Black Lives Matter hurting or helping the Black community? Does it represent - or is it a diversion from - the Dream of Martin Luther King, Jr.? Candace Owens and Marc Lamont Hill discuss race relations in America from opposite ends of the political aisle. Tune in!
Two people with disagreements willing to sit down and have a conversation. This is what the world needs more of.
But all Candace did was talk over him and refuse to listen.
instead of yelling “YOURE PART OF THE PROBLEM” lol

Exactly my point there’s nothing wrong with having different opinion. It’s healthy
andri marpaung a woman who identifies as a man, can therefore have a period, because he is still biologically female. he’s talking about the verbiage of man vs woman, not the biology of male vs female.
It's good to see persons who disagree politically but not treat each other like assholes. It's the definition of civil society.

Agree, he was a calm & pleasant guest, which is very rare in the liberal forced agenda country we live in now!!!
mrdragster1970 I’m sorry that, that is a rare experience for you. Conversations and discussions that I have been a part of were mostly calm and we left those dialogues respectfully disagreeing.
From a while back⤵
When Racism Destroys the Mind
So sad that living in a society and a world which for centuries has dehumanized those whom the good LORD has blessed to be brown or tannish in appearance (not black) actually destroys the thinking of those of all races. So that those called White think toi highly of themselves and too lowly of others, and those called Black think too lowly of themselves and too highly of those called White.
So I came across a story today of a woman who calls herself White or Caucasian even though the Caucasian people has labeled her as "Black." As far as race is concerned, she would be considered what is called African American. Now, the wise understand that most of what we see as it pertains to race and the color labelling of people is already steeped in racism. You can learn more on that topic in my books dealing with race. Nonetheless, to entertain the story at hand, living in a racist society has totally destroyed the thinking of the young lady in the story. She totally hates her qualities so much that she has completely denied their existence. When she looks into a mirror, she doesn't even see the actual reflection of the person looking into the mirror, but she sees a Caucasian looking person.
Such reminds me of a young lady named Candace whom I saw speaking with a racist Caucasian woman in a video about racism. Candace was actually speaking against those labelled as African Americans with the racist woman (the same woman who just received much backlash for her words about blackface) as if she didn't at all notice that the lady whom she was speaking to was racist. Candace is also campaigning with Republicans and talking exactly as racist Republicans would talk. Ofcourse they all applaud her as she talks about how the United States is not a racist country and how it's all a set up to keep those called black depending on the government. As I understand it, Kanye West actually gets ideas from her and is said to have helped to make her famous.
While I am a servant of JESUS CHRIST (by the grace of GOD) and neither Republican nor Democratic, it is sad to see such brainwashing by a racist society and its evil affects on so many. Please know that you are beautiful regardless of your skin color. True beauty is a condition of the heart. Yes, outward beauty is a reality, and it comes in all colors. Love and Appreciate whom GOD made you to be and the color GOD has given to your skin. Blessed be the NAME of the good LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!

Putting my own political opinions aside, these two deserve a lot of respect for talking. We need more of this in today's world. Great job guys!
Absolutely. Healthy and respectful dialogue.
Exactly what I came to comment. This was an amazingly insightful conversation and although I disagree with Marcs perspective he did make some good points.

Not only was this a great interview but it was one that was important to have.
Although I virtually disagree with everything that Dr. Hill says and believes in At least he came in and was willing to have a respectful back-and-forth with Candace.
This “Is” freedom of speech and is what makes America great and what we have to fight for.

Great conversation. No yelling, name calling, talking over one another. Each time I try to dislike Ms. Owens, I come away respecting her more. No fluff, just facts that she delivers in clear concise language that anyone can understand.
Unfortunately she doesn't deliver facts. Yes she does so in a calm articulate manner but many times she's still wrong. Ahmaud arbery is an excellent example.
I'm firmly in the Candace camp on this one, but I gotta give MLH kudos for at least coming on and being willing to face the fire. It's IMPORTANT that we have these conversations instead of just calling each other names.
I suspect his reason for going on the show was more to do with plugging his book.

Yep. It's when we listen to people we don't agree with that we can best counter them and maybe even change their minds. Or they could change ours. Good discussion here.
Wanna bet he doesn't show this interview to his students?
I really love how they are both calmly just listening to each other and respecting each others views while still disagreeing. We need these types of open conversations 💜
Healthy debate! That’s how it should be, however it is a rarity nowadays. Sad
Not really. We actually need an end to these types conversations where people think they are making valid arguments when they're not, like that dude.
Claude Moss yea trust me I do understand where you’re coming from, we probably have similar views but i do also think this is way of talking about differences in opinion is way healthier than the toxic bs that going on right now for the most part

oh my god, if she runs (wait, how old is she? can she even run?) that would be pretty...... funny isnt quite the right term... but yea. if she is the first black women president, jsut IMAGINE how the left would react. it would eat them up inside so much. she is black and a women, you would think it's a win for the left, yay diversity! but she disagrees with everything that the left does, so they cant support her. but if they dont support her then they clearly dont care about race, it's all about politics, which it is. she doesnt even have to be president, even like... idk a supreme court or something.

This debate is what democracy and free speech are all about.
desertrosereads The reason is very few lefties are educated or can articulate a sentence so the best they can do is to scream and yell or get physical. But kudos to Marc for at least wanting to debate Candace.
Democracy is majority vote. Not sure thats a thing in this debate.
Why would the conservative flag be the confederate flag? He’s ridiculous and painful to watch.
They spend quite a bit of time arguing of selected statistics.

Hes a professor if he didnt carry himself with respect he would be worthy of contempt.
He’s an embarrassment
Between this conversation and Hannity's interview with Horace Lorenzo Anderson Sr., my optimism has shifted (ever so slightly) toward a more positive outcome, where unity and mutual respect is possible. I don't fully agree with Candace on everything, and even less with Marc, and yet I was able to stay engaged and interested enough to be objective because of the tone. I might have even favored a couple of points Marc made (SAT's and supportive window decoration for businesses, specifically). In addition, I thought a couple of other subjects had some real value, and are worth further discussion/debate as they present some real challenges we are all facing.

Candace you are brilliant ! You did your homework and its shows !!
Really, at 8.20 she says black people don't really care, are hypocrites because a young kid was killed by another black is somehow analogous to what happened to the murder of George Floyd is so stupid, I can't believe she has any right to be debating a true scholar like Marc.
The first instance is a criminal act, that is perpetrated by a civilian criminal, who everyone would expect when caught be charged, trialled and appropriately sentenced. And of course mourn.
George Floyd was the illegal killing of a civilian by the state ( the police in this case) . By the way the police officer was only charged with murder after the video/s surfaced. That is to say the protests by BLM and the greater society was the obvious calls to highlight the police are not judge, jury and executioner. The protests are about the state responsibility to uphold citizens constitutional rights.
The fact CO, doesn't understand this, shows the shallow nature of her intellect.

She completely lost this argument. The only point she mad that was logical was against the looting and rioting. She got destroyed when they talked about affirmative action, George Floyd, police brutality
I genuinely always make and effort to listen to all sides. But listening to Candace Owens is really hard. She is the worst.
This dude is the one that got fired from CNN for being anti-semetic
@@timriggins6860 are you kidding me she destroyed him. What were you watching. She had him spinning, twisting and stumbling. At one point he was trying to prove a lie as truth and spoke, literally, a bunch of nothing for like 3 minutes and she destroyed him with three words NO ITS NOT lol. I always said this guy is a educated complete and utter fool. And she just proved that on here.
@@antzking8935 she is the worst to you. Because you are utter evil. Truth makes you cringe. But you will go back to your father the devil soon.
I came here for Marc but Candace kept me so intrigued. She is smart and knowledgeable and reasons well. I like her. Some contradictions on both ends but great conversation overall. Marc’s point about the social construct is very important though and I say that with intersex people in mind. I will leave it at that.
Intersex individuals account for only 0.018% of the population. You hardly have any plausible argument there.
The bathroom discussion was insane
You burn down a business ...that business leaves that area. The people don't leave to find jobs and stay in a community with less jobs, that community will suffer.
How hard is that to understand!
She was completely wrong on her comment regarding the 60's riots, she just brought up examples that fit her narrative. California had riots in that and the black community was not permanently damaged.
Because insurance will cover the cost, just like if a natural disaster hit. The only real reason to leave is if the money is messed up.
@@kbg4life07 insurance companies are in the business of making money. The more you use that insurance the higher your rates get.
Insurance will pay but they will either drop the company stays there im an insurance adjuster and California economy is crap thats why alot of people are leaving California as well so check the actual facts
Very hard if you're a leftist.
I can’t believe he said that men can get pregnant. How insane has our society gotten?!
They can
He said some not all men. He was referring to trans obviously.
@@ctjctj8573
How can men get pregnant?
Samuel Kiger in the first ten minutes
@@samuelkiger4869 he says it 10 times in the last 20 min and he says that men can menstruate too
its scary that someone like him is a profesor
I wish all of America could watch this video and understand that having political/cultural/religious ect. disagreements doesn’t make it impossible to have a conversation. Sometimes we automatically hate anyone who differs from our view points. If your opinion being challenged results in anger and hatred, rethink them.
Loved this conversation
The fact that this guy is a professor explains why millennials are so confused!
I bet you can confirm or deny anything candace said. you just want to someone black to agree with
And tenured. Invulnerable while indoctrinating.
JR BLAK yes, that’s the point. Stop putting all black people into a box. Not all black people are the same.
He got the job due to affirmative action. He is literally a living example of Owen’s point.
100%
I can't believe I've had 4 children with my husband of 20 years, yet this whole time my husband could've been having them! Smh 😂

Aaaaaaah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. He owes you.
You should’ve called him out when you noticed he got periods..
Hahahahahhhhhhaaaaaaa!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Candace is speaking hard facts. Race is a social construct. Gender is not. So glad she is willing to stand for the absolute truth. Not a truth or her truth. The truth.
Definitely this is what the world needs no emotion just good debating
Does anyone see how different they both look when debating? She looks confident, cool, calm and collected. He looks stuttered, uneasy and unsure. It’s crazy he believes what he thinks. But I guess they think we are crazy for thinking how we think. Ugh the irony 🤦🏻♂️
Absolutely! His voice has so much anxiety in it and his thoughts are jumping all over the place. Whereas Candace is cool, calm and collected and stays in one line of solid reasoning and thought.
Body language spoke volumes
It's becuz there are so many inconsistencies with what Marc believes that when he looks away into the corner of his mind (where everything is willfully jumbled up), he has to make it make sense again to himself while struggling with Candace's questions and the reality he usually ignores. He's literally expressing his cognitive dissonance right in front of us. That can happen when one consistently violates their own conscious and throws truth out the window. He has to fight mentally to force things to make sense publicly cuz privately he's content and complacent with ambiguity and words not having meaning.
They both really heated up at certain points of the discussion. You can’t really deny that. Both had valid points, though I probably would lean a bit towards siding with Candace on this one.
The gender talk sounded like someone in a cult. We have officially entered crazy town.
What planet is he on? Professor Marc, and many leftists like him, care not where they push society. We get a steady diet of new phrases from these folks. We are then told to ingest it all and accept it without question. If we don't become willing soldiers in their cultural march then we're labeled bigots. I cannot participate in this delusional thought. Call me rude.
@WordVomitGalore No, I can't stomach that environment. AOL newsfeed comment section with HuffPo is pretty nasty too. My skin is getting thicker though.
She is soo right. A woman has a vigina and gives birth. A man can.it give birth and does not have a vigina. If you think you are a man or woman, and you are not, I dont have to pretend you are because you are confused. It is my right to think in terms of reality. This is all about an underlying agenda to divide.
You ain't lying.... I was like wtf🤦🏾♂️!? These liberals talk to make everything seem acceptable, and they get lost in their wormhole. Candace did a good job dissecting him regarding gender privilege.
He was losing the entire debate then when he said men could give birth it went from bad to sad and embarassing for him , the Left is a Cult
Can’t express more how there isn’t one book I would never consider to read than his book.
I love you both. God bless
“If you can’t explain something simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” - Albert Einstein
One of my all time FAVORITE quotes!
The guy obviously cares a lot and has a lot of pain. He also had the balls to come on the show. If his thoughts were as clear as his feelings, I think real progress could be made. Candice is on point with everything but isn’t very sensitive when it comes to listening. The more people talk the better things will get.
But sometimes its hard to simply explain things to ignorant people or those who aren't listening. In order to agree with the quote you'd have to assume you're speaking with someone both competent and attentive.
This is so true. I recently returned to college and realized that to truly teach something you have to know the subject inside and out. Jesus once asked Nicodemus: "Are you a teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?"
He literally gave statistical measures on how SAT does not measure college preparedness and to use that as the single source of merit across all statuses of America hurts lower income neighborhoods, nor does it predict your success for college.
Also affirmative action does not place such WIDE discrepancies of these metrics, they're relatively similar. No kid from Compton is being placed in Harvard with 1.0 GPA because he's black, it doesn't work that way nor is that happening as conservatives think. They're already within similar average to the school's scale.
When Jews have created their own spaces and schools, there's no backlash on that but there is for HBCUs....even though other races can apply.
If you want to implement merit practices, abolish legacy and donor foundations which is how Trump and Bush got into their schools and thats how most inheritance comes from in universities.....yet he didn't provide facts to you
This guy is literally saying it's only racism if its discriminating against black people.
Exactly!! if a black person hates on a white person I guess whites deserve it? Such ugliness!!!!!!
Didn’t you hear him? It’s not racist because he doesn’t consider it to be. So yea...
That is the typical narrative.
Yeah that's kind of racist.
Dummy thats exactly what Racisim is ! Black people cant Racist. Black can be prejudice but not Racist. Look up what the true definition on racisim is. But claim yall are so smart.
You go girl you nailed it you shut him down Sister
Mary Paul would love you on the debate team. I am black attended Catholic school I was taught there was nothing I could not do if I studied hard and did my best. I attended Catholic school in the 50's . I am black but I was taught I was created in the image and likeness of God and He does not make junk. God is missing in our culture
Marc’s ability to not respond being cut off as she rambles…is my level of calm. Brother is another type of intellectual
lol I believe this conversation was golden 😂 he definitely got his point across
While she rambles? His points are nonsensical, he didn't say anything truthful, he just dances around issues. That's not intellectual, that's BS.
I enjoyed this conversation. We need more of this. Disagreements are okay.
Candice is a rockstar. She's promoting personal accountability and he doesn't want to acknowledge it.
Are the reports correct that she raised money for a racist bar or food company?....And how come she is not out there protesting the death of innocent black people ?
Crackhead Joe 211Series maybe because the majority aren’t protesting for innocent black people
@@ivanlongo8725 I was speaking to her question to Mr. Lamont about the "protests of black on black crime" the truth is there are many protests, if you'll remember the one by rap stars back in the 90's, also the news doesn't cover these non-bleeding leads..but there are and have always been protests against the killing of innocent black people...In short, I am saying what is she doing and has Candance done any gofundme's for the families of "black on black crime",specifically?
What she doesn’t address, ever, is even when u are personally responsible you can still be treated as less than human in america. Rather if it’s by police, jobs, businesses, loan officers, etc. she can clearly point out an issue but never has any way to resolve them. And to her general answer of do better, what then? I’m a middle class american family makes over 100,000 a year annually but I still get profiled on vacations, treated differently by cops (not as much when they realize i have money) but why should it take that to get decent civil liberaties. Nothing more just fairness. Only people running away from treating everyone equally is conservatives not him
@@HollyG95 Her answer is always clear and always given, you treat people based on merit, and you teach students and children their future will be a result of the character they build. It's that simple.
