Hang in there Bro. I paroled from Centinela in 08’ and my wife of 13 years left me literally the day I got home. Again I was on Parole, alone in our House with our two kids, 10 and 5 with a mortgage and all the bills on my own, Fresh out on Parole no job or nothing! But I had to man up asap! And I have to admit one of the most solid dudes that was there for me with some real Guidance was actually one of the CO’s I got cool with. He saw something in me no one else did and because of that he chose me as a friend. That may not mean much to others but I’m sure you understand what I’m saying. Speaking from experience Bro hang in there it is not over one bit! Remember who you really wake up for and fight for EVERYDAY!!! 👊

Never forget that your little girl is watching and listening to how you talk to and treat her mother. This is what will determine for her how a man should treat her. Not easy when emotions are involved but so important for her wellbeing

Definitely & seeing as it's recorded also. When I left my partner, even though there was violence, dv & alcohol involved, we made an agreement to not involve the kids in our mess. We never did & now, as a 47yr old mum, my kids even now say they are grateful for me not dragging their father through the mud as they were growing up. Sending prayers to you & family.
It absolutely applies to both parents. But you can only control your own choices and reactions.

I was optimistic she would come back. She’s still gone.
I’m finally getting over her.
I’m living in the house because I had it before we met.
Long story short, I’m doing better now and am finally moving on.
I do enjoy the peace and quiet.

I served in the Air Force for 22 years and deployed a ton to the middle east and in recovery as well. We share a lot of common ground. When I retired in 2014, I chased the job title and money. It made me miserable. My wife and I have been married for 26 years and it's only through the grace of God we're still together. I'll be praying for you as you walk through the divorce. I appreciate you sharing your life with us here and being so real and honest.
I met and Hooked up with my wife in 9th grade: We waited 20 years to get married. That was 2016.
Here we are still pushing through the years.
No Rainbows, Butterflies, or any of that BS. Just a solid connection through lots of Trial and Error.
And honestly I think the things that were sent to break us made us stronger. Much like combat and bonding in the trenches.

The smartest move you both did was move to separate corners, most importantly for your child. I know what your daughter felt. My dad was a Vietnam Vet, a police officer, and a father of 4 by the time he was 30. He was from a family of 8. I didn't truly understand that he was a real person until I got older (my late 30s)
I was never afraid for my dad when he patrolled the streets of SD. It was for the fools who thought they could tangle with him 😂
Working with men for a long time gave me a realistic perspective on men and relationships. I'm grateful because of it.

I was married for 15 years and divorced. I don't regret getting married. We shared some great times together and have beautiful kids together. It's part of life, we embrace the suck and keep pushing with whatever life throws at us. Never have any regrets and always look at the bright side of things.

Never been married, but am a guy who's parents got divorced when I was going into 6th grade. Can say that it's harder on the kid/kids than the parents in the long. Best advice I can give you is keep it separate from your children and never bad mouth, blame etc your wife - their mother - to or in front of them. Also do not make them choose sides , that is one of the things that'll really cause issues short and long term. It's between you and your ex/wife no one else. Hopefully it all works out for the better and everyone can live with the decisions made. May want to keep it off social media etc as well, bc anything you say or post can and will used against you. Keep your head up, stay strong and know it'll get better eventually.

Nothing is promised, my life has been up and down. Even with all of issues I had in life I actually completed a serious goal. I had pushed myself into something that amazed me that I could actually accomplish. It was destroyed. Everything I put into it was destroyed. The reason for that was a rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, and osteopenia. My body has been ravaged by it. That is just the way it is. I can’t work even. Everything I made gone. I do feel for others who have had their lives broken apart I truly do. In the stories the hero always comes through. Life is a fight and we don’t know it till it is too late sometimes. I guess just don’t let it make you angry, cold, and bitter.

The easy thing to do is replay what went wrong and how it could have been different.. it's hard as hell because of the effort you put in all the years and tried to build a team to battle thru the adversity and build something special. Regret and holding on to something or someone whom to your dismay has left you adrift in the ocean of life by yourself. 2 options, my friend... only 2.. let the pain and regret push your further out to the abyss.. or use it all as motivation to get back to land where you can prove first to yourself first and foremost that this event will not be your defining moment!!! You will not allow this to be the end.. it's an opportunity to focus on yourself!!! To steer your life in a direction you have always wanted to go but never have !!! Shit don't happen overnight, but you got what it takes just from watching your channel and learning about the man with principles, morals, and integrity!! Which is more than most people have !! In time it gets better and for every door that shuts, a door also opens.

I'm turning 38 and getting divorced after 10 years and 2 kids from Santa Maria. She had 2 previous kids from a relationship in Georgia. We both met as transplants in idaho and thought we hit it off. She just needed a rebound and told me straight out she didn't want a family with me and I didn't listen. Fast forward 10 years and 2 kids and she is bored AF and I'm struggling to keep my family from falling apart. She's checked out and talking to other dudes openly now. I have my kids for the moment. I'll never take her back but I hope she is able to return and rebuild her role tha she destroyed for my kids.
