- RIP Bob 2
This is a mans song, no booji boys!
The infamous performance in 1975, where Devo opened up for Sun Ra pretending to be a Bad Company cover band, but instead played their own material. They kept on playing on until the crowd became angry and unplugged Bob 1's guitar amp, and Gerald Casale got into a near fist fight with a promoter.
There WILL NEVER and CAN NEVER be another DEVO.
Prck
RIP bob2..I was 17 when their 1st album came out...WOW... so many memories..They were weird, quirky, new wave, and cool all at the same time. I still hope to see them live..ARE WE NOT MEN?
I just find it really odd that anyone that went to see Sun Ra would be upset at missing out on a Bad Company cover band.
It was a Halloween concert and the audience was in costume. Mark said, "Drunk mummies were shaking their fists at us. Draculas were shouting obscenities at us."
best description of anything by anyone
Wow best version of this! Punishing! I just discovered "WHeel" by Flipper that has the same crazy level of uh persistence.
This set is on the "Mongoloid Years" CD. Jerry's snappy liner notes are worth the price of admission.
This was the time when the band almost got into fights because of their weird pranks thrown at people. I mean, what were they thinking at the time? The sun ra incident i mean.

beautiful found (find), surfing for devo devo covers
this shit is so hilarious, the best fucking live album ive ever heard by any band.
Club Devo featured this on their Facebook page. Congrats, Judas!
I like this ENTIRE concert :3 I like "Beulah" (which later became "Jesus", the 30 minutes of "Jocko homo" and the fight at the end XD too bad there's no footage of it :I
They have footage from another 1975 concert. But they won't cough it up.
I assume it's from the Pink Flamingo premiere at Kent State
Who wont cough it up? Jerry, Michael Pilmer?
Correct, it's the Pink Flamingos show. Chuck Statler filmed it, but I'm positive Jerry has it. Jerry has everything. Pilmer has the '73 footage.
The should have released that with Men Who Make the Music rerelease. That would actually make sense unlike reissuing the completely unessential Sundance show.
That statement is so true it hurts. We wan't hardcore Devo, not the same old songs going through a post-breakup transitional identity crisis!
The people at the party must have been raising their eyebrows by the time they've finished Beulah. Which begs the question: " Uh... What just happened?"
Someone uploaded it !
The whole thing is hilarious, but special mentions go to the last 30 thirty seconds of Beulah, the ear splitting synth throughout the entire concert, and "I BET YOU CAN ALL GUESS BUT I MEAN PENIS"
Holy shit! How does this even exist?
+DoomMan899 Are they not trolls?
as if beulah were performed by a pod of whales
