- Today, we’re going to be taking a look at Scream (2022), and spotlighting a HUGE change to the original script, that was completely edited out of the movie. More specifically, we’re going to be looking at the original, brutal, planned death of Vince Schneider. His death was pretty quick in the movie we got, but the original version actually played out entirely different AND there’s one deleted line from the original draft, that explains in detail WHY Vince was killed.

The script was WAY better than what happened to Vince in the movie
They probably didn’t have the budget
Agreed
Yea, we had the throat slit since 1996, like bRuH
it was literally richie who killed vince.. directors confirmed it
THE DELETED REASON AMBER FREEMAN KILLED VINCE SCHNEIDER | IT WAS BECAUSE OF STU...)
I'm still salty they removed that awesome shot from ghostfaces shadow from vinces deathscene that was in the trailers. It looked so cool
Me too
It's why scream 5 is my least fav, they cut out/altered so much stuff that could have made the final cut better ...
You're spot on about that Wes/Mindy/Amber scene. The motive quote made no sense out of context, but it does now.
yes after see this video of him spot on that scene between wes and amber Mindy didn't make any sense because it was take out of context but it does now since this is supposed to be Vince actually death in this delete script
it was literally richie who killed vince.. directors confirmed it
It made me sad how quickly they killed him off cause Kyle is such a good actor.
He's also played one of my favorite live action versions of the Flash.
well richie killed him so
I refuse to believe they CUT this. In favour of that quick stab? No way
will they did so try and keep up
Ghostface appearing from a cornfield would be scary as hell
mtv scream s2 alrdy did that
scream mtv season 3 did that too, matter a fact, that may be why they removed.
@@DEORAx. my bad yeah it was s3😭
The Ghostface Of The Corn
Dead by daylight did that too. But Ghostface couldn't kill anyone cause he got cornvision. 🌽
Kyle Gallner is an amazing actor and was SEVERELY wasted in Scream 5.
Agreed. He would have made an excellent red herring throughout thr film. We could have had a scene later in the film where he protects Sam from Ghostface and is killed for it.
Samara weaving also
And people want Leslie Macher who is Vince mother to be Ghostface why? Vince had no significance to the story other than he's a relative of Stu and we do not need revenge motives no more in the franchise it's played out we got 3 revenge motives in Scream from Mrs. Loomis to Kieran to Richie's family.
Yeah, and it's hard to buy a revenge motive since his killers are dead.
Leslie is Stu’s sister dude
i agree with you no name because that does not make any sense i do not want her to be ghostface once she is introduced as a character just have her be a character like just have her who hate the stab movie and the ghostface stuff and all she wants is for people to stop making her life a living hell and she want to end the ghostface killer stuff once and for all but then she get kill off just like her son that is who i want Leslie macher to be do you agree with me
It's just boring.
@@JamaicaZ160R1793010A are you talk about the original kill on Vince or the movie
Vince NEEDED to last longer imo. He had that bad boy attitude, an outsider character like Beth from Season 3. It's criminal we barely got anything from him. Vince is the movie's biggest missed opportunity because of his connection to Stu Macher imo.
The bar scene kinda takes you out a bit visually (at least for me) for the reason that the cast minus 2/3 of them are actually teenagers and the rest are obviously adults! You really take a back and breaks the scene that they are adults playing kids! 😂
I know it’s a huge thing and I’m fine with it, but they should’ve set the scene at a bowling alley, fast food place or anywhere where teens hang. Not a bar where your cast is obviously adults playing teenagers where their age stands out! 😂
I wished they would have kept that scene in. Not only showing context in scenes that they’ve kept but also showing how small of a town and how rural Woodsboro can be.
Casey Becker lived out of nowhere although the McKenzie’s were her neighbors. But you know how that goes. They could have lived two miles away. lol Stu’s house was on a farm. Not sure if it was an active one then or now when Amber and her family lived there. Now with the mention of cornfields. I like it.
Thanks for this series! I can picture the scenes vividly in my head when you’re reading them.
can you do a video of all of Liv's cut scenes because I want more people to know that she had way more scenes in the script then what we seen
Got some great extra Liv scenes from draft 2 coming up 😁
@@BeyondTheMask yessss
What could possibly posess radio silence to remove this scene? The original death was so much better.
It may not have been completely their fault. The studio could also interfere in movies. Scream 3 cut a lot of things against Wes’s objections
This would not have worked when the fight between Riley and Vince was cut, also Dewey's alcoholism.
Amber didn’t kill Vince compare the kills….Judy died by a variety of stabs, Wes took one to the neck same as Vince. Richie was a careful stick and go killer. Amber was a frantic stabber. Richie killed Vince not Amber
I've been to that parking lot location that he gets killed in. It's not actually outside of the bar like it shows in the movie, it's at a different location.
Can't post pics here, but I laid in the same spot and position as him and got a pic , and did the comparison. Pretty spot on! Also went to Tara's house, the twins house, and the owner came out and talked to us, and to Sherriff Hicks house , where I played as her, and my friend was Ghostface, and attacked me on the sidewalk outside the front doors of the house, lol. Then we finished the day by watching the movie inside of the bowling alley that Sam worked at.
Unfortunately, it has closed down now.
Wow. Nice stuff.
@@JamaicaZ160R1793010A thanks!
@@earlleary Sure thing. I thought something was off about where Vince was killed so there's no way Amber killed him. Thanks for confirming it for me.
Nice!
Vince: fuck off!
Kevin Williamson: the killer indeed did not fuck off
"Who's there?" is something you never say if you want to survive, according to the original Scream's rules. I find it significant that that specific phrasing was what was used
I've just always been a fan of Vince's actor since his stint on Smallville. I always want to see more of what he can do
They should have used vince more in the movie and played on the fact that he’s related to Stu.
That actually makes sense and doesn’t make him as much of a throwaway character. Hmmm…movie would’ve been a lot deeper with the original draft
it was literally richie who killed vince.. directors confirmed it
@@lunajohnson7091how is this relevant to the comment
He was killed by Richie. It’s literally different kill style.
100%
And Judy mentioned that Amber and her friends were with her so it couldn't be Amber.
Hughie..cant take him serious after being Hughie..
Plus there was no way Amber could have gotten away to do this.
@@Hear.myvoice Judy said it couldn’t have been Amber chasing Sam at the hospital because she was with her being questioned about Vince’s death. Amber definitely killed Vince. Scream 6 confirms Amber did all of the killings.
NOW, That’s our Ghostface, hauntingly fishing their victims in an intricately place fishing net of clues and suspense.
Amber didn’t kill him though. It was Richie…
Exactly quick stab is Richies style. We all know the stab happy style is Amber's. I also think she didn't seperate from the group when they all left together.
Nah It was Richie Who Killed Vince, It Was Confirmed It Was Richie Who Killed Vince.
So like, is it confirmed now that Amber killed every single victim in this film? I really like the idea that Richie killed Wes and Vince and maybe 1 or 2 others
I don't think Amber killed everyone since Ghostface appears to kill or attack their victims in two different ways, Amber's being jumping out and multiple stabs (Tara, Judy, Dewey, Chad) and Richie's being luring the victim somewhere then a knife to the neck(Wes and Vince). And it makes sense because Amber is very hyper, and her attacks and kills reflect that. And since Richie is a weakling, it would make sense that he would sneak and attack his victims in a vulnerable area like the neck to gain the upper hand quickly.
@@benjaminfong8851 yeah but see that’s stuff directors do, the writers did an interview during the press run of 6 I think, or maybe after release I forget now but someone said Amber killed everyone, but they may have just meant most of them but generalized idk
@@benjaminfong8851exactly that's how I interpreted it too by the way of the kill style.
its not confirmed
I'm more inclined to think Richie killed Vince. Considering that Amber was at the police station with the gang being interviewed by Judy over the murder and considering the killing style (straight jab/slash to the neck instead of vicious stabbing). Richie was at the hospital with Sam and Tara, yes. But upon closer listening to his earphone audio, it sounded like he just barely began watching Stab 1 on his phone when Sam woke up. There was definitely enough time for Richie to sneak out and kill Vince and return to watch Stab 1 as if he never left. Regardless of how far the hospital is from the bar. And if it were Amber, she wouldn't hesitate to stab Vince viciously like she did Tara, Judy, Dewey, and Chad.
Man! I would have love seeing Vince's death scene that was depicted in the original draft in Scream 5. I mean, in the draft it sounds a lot better than what was actually shown in Scream 5. There's nothing wrong with Vince's death scene, but he was killed off waaayyyy too quick, and being the red herring the movie lead us to believe, which he was for a brief moment, I think Radio Silence instead should have at least kept some parts from the original draft in the film and just cut out all the Billy scenes. Overall, it was a great movie.
... I really cringed at the Billy scenes though.
I forgot that I always wondered who he was and where it fit in him getting killed.
Yea I hated this too, having parts still in the movie that don't lead to anything....another example I feel was when Vince first showed up near the school for some reason we focus on Mindy taking a picture of Vince....?? Why? What was the purpose of that? It didn't lead to anything and actually made Mindy look even more sus.

Omg Thankyou, I questioned for soooo long if Amber and Tara were together because that’s how it felt
Vince was such a hit and miss. They had a golden opportunity to make him being Stu’s nephew very relevant. But it just ended up being another detail of this lazy requel.
And people keep saying Richie killed Vince NO that was Amber, Richie was at the hospital with Sam and Tara watching Stab movies even Sam said in VI Amber did all the kills and he did nothing.
Amber had the intel on him, it was her
how would sam know who killed who?? literally in the beginning sam said richie was a serial killer and him and amber killed a bunch of people y’all need to stop dickriding amber so hard fr
Well that of samantha was a generic quote. It can't be be taken as assolute truth. Simply amber killed more people
nop amber didnt kill dewey bec she not strong enough to take out dewey its impossible
stu killed dewey on that part in scream 5
Amazing new video! ❤🎉😊
200th like! Love these videos 💜
8:10 we qctually hear this line in the "killer suspects and suspected killers" ad campaign
the revenge thing still doesn’t confirm why Vince was killed… because why would Sam want revenge against a relative of Billy’s partner? makes no sense.
It didn’t really change anything for me. It’s still established that the killer(s) are after anyone connected to the original. I remember it being established in some of the trailers that it’s all due to their connection to the past. And I remember it being leaked how Vince was connected to Stu,
Ohh man! I would have loved to see that scene play out in Scream 5! Kyle Gallner is a teriffic actor who's potential was sorely wasted here!
In general, now we have an homage to Billy Loomis in these new movies (through his connection to Sam), but I'm really hoping Leslie and the Macher family will feature more in Scream 7 (when/if it gets announced)
I know some people feel the revenge plot has been played out, but I think it would be cool to have Leslie be the main killer in 7, the mastermind behind this spree (like Roman was in Scream 3). Leslie's life coyld have taken a turn for the worse after Stu was killed. Her family would have been the victim of hate because of what Stu did, which affected Vince and made him drink, and now that both her brother and son have been killed, she could snap.
Critial Overlord shared a cool idea for a plot in the next movie, in one of his recent videoes, where a lot of storylines come together: Leslie kidnappes Sidney's children, and enlists the help of others through the internet to go after the Core 4, specifically Sam, because she believes the rumors that Sam was responsible for the events in S5, perhaps holding her responsible for Vince's death - also wanting children which she never got herself, she kidnapps Sidney's kids because she wants revenge on her for what happened to Stu.
Christina Carpenter could also be a part of the next movie, Leslie trying to lure her back to Woodsboro because we find out (through the diaries Sam talked about) that she knew full well what Stu and Billy were up to, but didn't try and stop them.
I kinda like the idea of Stu's relatives playing a larger role in the end here. This would also help to satisfy the people who want him back because they dont think he's dead. This way, it could all tie back to the original and wrap things up.
It would be awesome to have some flashback scenes in there as well, to see how Leslies and Christinas past was back in 1996.
Their story could also make for a cool prequel tv series, showing what happened between '96 and up ti 2023. Or we could get a prequel to the original movie, showing how Billy and Stu first planned/executed Maureen's murder.
Twice he refers to "Riley". Does he think Dewey was trying to kill him?
There was a deleted scene at the bar where him and Dewey got in a fight.
@@kevstorm Interesting! Thanks!
Overall i adore scream although i found scream 2022 to be so disapointing. The most frustrating thing about the whole franchise is that the origanal drafts for every film were incredible and so much has been changed & cut for no reason. We could probibly get a whole new film's worth of original scenes & scripts & deleted scenes.
Kyle Gallner's kill was so quick. It was a waste. I always loved his acting and played in the remake of Nightmare On Elm Street.
He needed more time on camera. His character could have warned that girl he had a fling with that he spotted something and then killed off. Things needed to escalate. Sure it would've been a little longer but I wanted to see more scenes with Chad and Kyle Gallner's character.
I truly feel they dropped the ball on Wes's character would have been the perfect killer and his name is Wes
They really fumbled a few scenes in this movie
This would’ve been a much better kill the sequence would’ve added points to his dead. His quick death was pretty lame.
She didn’t kill
Him, this is one of Richies only kills
I feel like vinces kill was again a writers error. Since they were establishing kill styles, they should have wrote it in a way that made you believe richie was in the area, instead it's set up like amber was the one who killed him but just used Richies kill style. And it bothers me so much 😠

@@jeffyoung6117 Yeah What Ever Sam is Just Saying To Piss Off His Family!
Sam already knew Sidney killed Billy, but did it in self defense
yeah I took some time and read the entire original script and honestly like most of it a lot better
This would’ve been better for scream 5
The original death scene actually would've been a whole lot better.
As much as I love Scream 5, I would've had Vince as the killer instead of Richie.
I like Richie, but I just felt like the way he was used as the killer was weak. Just saying. Sometimes the obvious killer isn't a bad thing and sometimes a twist doesn't work.
Now what would Vince's motive be in the movie you may ask?
Motive. Embracing his uncle's legacy and attempting to turn Sam into his partner for her to embrace her father's legacy. This time, the Macher is the mastermind and groomed Amber to be his partner like Richie did.
Making Vince the mastermind could have added an extra layer onto the lambasting of toxic fandom.
Like, Amber could still have 100% been the toxic fan, but you could add on a commentary about how her being as entitled and angry as she was about the Stab movies not doing exactly what she wanted was what allowed Vince to take advantage and groom her into doing what he wanted.
Which is what Richie did too, but adding in a little twist that Vince didn't actually give a fuck about the Stab movies would have been a nice bit of frosting on top of things.
Sort of like what Mrs Loomis did with Mickey, with how truly terrible people can and do manipulate impressionable kids into doing horrendous things.
And Scream 6, same movie but the motives is Ethan and Quinn are Vince's siblings and Bailey is Vince's father and we see one more Ghostface, Leslie Macher and it's the Macher's revenge against the Carpenters.
It was Richie not Amber.
Did we ever address why these high school kids are allowed to hang out in a bar with alcohol?
this should have been a great kill instead of the original kill we got with Vince he was a interested character they should have did better with Kyle gallner and his Vince character he could been cool and dope to see what type of guy he was
We are seated
if stu was alive they could make up for this scene by having Stu's motive for coming out of hiding being he sees the news report of his nephew's death and Sam being blamed online for it and have him build a cult during the time between the end of 5 and after 6 like what scream 3 was meant to be
Why are some people so obsessed with Stu being alive and him having a cult?!
@@j2174 because Matthew lillard is one of the best and fan favorite actors of the series, Stu is a big part of the spirit of these films, his death was left ambiguous intentionally, people want him back!

Well when liv told amber he worked with her and tara. She was like he worked with tara. Looked like jealousy
its called acting
Why would Vince think that Dewey is trying to kill him?
A deleted scene, apparently they knew each other from the bar scene and fought or something, but they cut it.

Great video. Here's what I'd like to see for Scream 7. So Stu's family had money and power, they have become 1% rich since the 1996 movie. They paid off the right people, Stu has been in Europe since 1996. Billy's dad was an estranged twin, and Billie's cousin looks just like each other. Only Stu knew they were best friends. His cousin was the 3rd killer, and the one that died in the first movie. So Sydney is being hunted, at the end of 7, an older Billy and Stu take their masks off in front of Sidney. A good writer could make this work. The fans would lose their minds if there were no leaks of them returning.🤓😎
That's quite possibly the worst idea I have ever read for a sequel.
i’m glad they cut out the gay stuff. Every character doesn’t have to be gay let’s just let them be friends why do you kids want everything to be gay
