They will stretch a little for sure. Whether it will be enough depends on just how tight they are now. Wear them and walk around on the carpet a bit to see if they start to improve. If the 44 starts to feel better after a few minutes they should be fine. If they do not then keep the 45. - Van

How cold of a weather is the ventillated one comfortable? And is the standard a good midle ground between the vented and the waterproof? I normally ride only above 15 °C (~60 °F). I'm torn which one of the three would be best.

This boot offers more ankle protection than the SP 1 short boots for sure. I find the SMX-6 to run a little larger than the SP 1 boots. You will most likely need to go down one size to get the same fit. - Van

I would say neither the TCX and Alpinestars boots run narrow. I have pretty wide feet and get a good fit from both of them. If you need more I have found some of the Forma to offer fit that leans a little to the wide side. - Van

I would be totally comfortable using this for some track day duty. Does it offer the same protection as the Alpinestars Supertech R, no it does not. If you are really focused on protection and concerned purchase the Supertechs if you can afford them. If you need to keep the spend closer to the $250 go with the SMX 6 Boots, they are a quality pair with plenty of protection. Great value for the money IMO. - Brian Van

How'd you compare the comfort and protection of this smx6 v2 to dainese course out d1? is it worth the extra bucks (d1 is $100 more here)? i mean the course d1 looks superb and badass than smx6 for sure i love it, is there a huge gap between the comfort and protection. Im planning to use it once or twice a year aggressive track riding not a fulltime racer, and atleast once a month on canyon/mountain roads... or maybe the dainese nexus hmmm?
you keep saying comfortable....I tried on a pair of smx 1r and they where just like a shoe...comfy as hell....so I got these is same size, and they are tiiiiiiiight. Hurts bottom of my feet walking around....feels almost like im walking on that shank......Am I missing something? Are you maaaayyybe implying "comfortable" when compared to other racing boots, and not average street shoes?
Sportbike Track Gear 11. I got size 45. Online said 45 was more like an 11. I tried the smx1r in 11.5 and was just a tad too big...but comfy as hell. These seem to alot different. Not the worst boots ive ever tried (Icon overlord) but definantly different. Dont seem as wide as the smx 1rs, and bottom feels less padded.

We recommend going down one size in these boots. The SMX 1 R runs true to size so you would go down one from that in the 6. - Van

For me and most of our customers these boots run 1 size larger than they are marked so the size 40 are likely to be the best bet for you. - Van
