One of the best hoop shoes I've ever owned. Picked up this same color-way which is actually pretty cool. As an aging hoop lover (52yrs old), I was looking for a sneaker to help preserve my knees for the last few years of my pick-up game career. I will say they ride a bit high off the ground but the trade-off is an amazing composition of cushioning and support! My one gripe is the ankle area digs in a bit but they've softened up after a couple of weeks. This is a great shoe and I hope Nike keeps these models coming!
Keep it up Pops! 🤟🏼
I like that other crew members review stuff from time to time, it makes the channel feel more like a working group or workshop 👍
Collin is so shrill and monotone. I miss the days of sultry voiced Morman brother.
@@galvanizedgnomeGive him some time, he's obviously new to this sorta stuff. He'll get more comfortable.
I’m really not even a sneaker guy at all (I have one pair of Hokas and that’s it lol) but for whatever reason, I find these videos so dang interesting, man. Something about all of the components and little bits of tech built into shoes like this is just really cool to learn about. I’ve been following this channel for a while because of the boot content, and including sneakers into the tests is a great addition. Love this stuff.
These videos have been great at helping me not be a sneakerhead / kick my shoe addiction bc they are showing me just how little you get for your money material wise on these types of shoes.
@@myhandlewastakenandIgaveup alright, so if you had to sum up in a few words what makes you like sneakers that much, what would you say? To me, they’re really not on my mind at all, but I find it interesting when people have like 50 pairs and know all about the history and all that. Just trying to understand the mindset of a real sneaker head
@@STSGuitar16 as a preface I wouldn't call myself a sneakerhead per se (but I do have ?25? Pairs of shoes). The reason for that abstention is I am super cheap and simply won't pay more than $75 for a pair ever.
All of that aside the appeal is the same as jackets for me. I have very basic wardrobe which consists of jeans and (mostly) black non screen printed t shirts. Shoes (and jackets) are ways for me to accessorize and change it up a little bit every few days in a low effort way.
There is a next level appreciation which true sneakerheads are a part of which also includes a community and culture as well as swap meets. I find true sneakerhead culture fascinating myself bc for me they (shoes) are simply ways to add color to wardrobe which has the innate diversity of a mayo and wonderbread sandwich.
@@myhandlewastakenandIgaveup I gotcha. I think I’ve got like five pairs of shoes, so even 25 sounds wild to me lol. It makes sense for your situation, though. I mean, I own 14 guitars so I’m sure you’d find that wild as well lol. I do consider myself a huge guitar nerd (I can ramble on about guitars, guitar pedals, amps, and gear in general for hours and hours) and there’s also a really great community surrounding that and the nerd-dom. I didn’t even consider the sneaker community in general. Hey, I guess everyone’s got their thing, ya know?
@@STSGuitar16 seems like you went pretty deep into guitars. Thats pretty rad. Yeah as long you , I or anyone else can afford the amount they spend on their hobbies (and its not hurting themselves or anyone else) its all good in my book.
I really like the idea behind what you are doing, but you are missing the vital piece of someone playing in them. I've played in a LOT of basketball shoes. I'm a bigger, older guy, and the GT Jump 2 has the most unique underfoot feel I have ever played in. The bounce or cushion or whatever you want to call it is phenomenal. It's distinctly different. Lebrons are comfortable. These are next level.
Would like to see you review safety shoes around $150. Where I work we can wear the sneaker style ones and they are great for a few months then start to breakdown and you're waiting until the next time you can get the company to pay for new ones.
React vs ultraboost would be cool
I’ve got a pair of the black & white ones. I love these shoes, it took care of my heel pain, and I could focus on my layups more. I’m a rugged finisher and love blocking shots/playing defense. So these are staying in my rotation.
Also I get a lot of compliments on them so I’m thinking of scooping up more for off court wearing also.
The fake looking bubble on the ankle would protect your ankles from general impact or when you’re beating people at basketball and all they can do is foul and try to hurt you.
I like these sneaker reviews. Let the haters hate.
Awesome vid!
Love these videos
Sneaker head Jonah hill ❤
I’m getting way more Seth Rogan …
Lovechild, maybe? 🤔
Dope video, i like the new style
Thanks
Really enjoy the basketball shoe videos
Would love to see you guys cut a Nike Vomero 5 in half. One of my daily wears and def the one of the most comfortable.
Love this . Keep up the good reviews
Yessss!!!! I was going to ask that you guys cut open this shoe when I saw the Lebrons. I had the GT Jump 1 and I liked them, then I was torn between the GT Jump 2 and the Jordan 38. Went with the Jordan 38 with no regrets.
Maybe that may be a shoe to do a review on…🤔
Have you had them tear at the midsole on the pivot point? I like the look of the lows but idk if I wanna fork over the money if they tear easily.
@@Layzie2500 I haven’t had them tear but I do know what you’re talking about. So here’s my logic when I bought them:
I live in Orlando and we have plenty of Nike outlets. Since I only play ball in them, I found a refurbished pair for $80. I had a discount code so after taxes, they came out to $65ish. Plus, I take advantage of Nike’s two year warranty.
I bought my first pair of GT Jumps for $80 a while back. The Zoom Air unit popped. Submitted a warranty claim through Nike and got a voucher for $180 (retail). So I figured, I would take my chances and if anything happens before the two year warranty period is over, I’ll submit a claim like I did with the GT Jumps.
Hey Rose anvil love your vids, can you cut in half a football (soccer) shoes/cleats and look at the materials used ?
That would be cool! 👍🏼
Yes it sucks so much that it's the most popular sport in the world. Many watch this channel all around the world , so why not :D?
Great video.
@RoseAnvil Can you make a video about Lace lab shoe laces. I recently purchased a pair of laces. The company claims that the laces I purchased are made of luxury leather. When I took them of the bag, the laces smelled like plastic not real leather.
These were Jokic's shoe before he left Nike. Glad to see the internals. Nice vid.
Did he really left? What brand is he signing to?
first time playing in gt cut 2. played straight for about an hour and my feet, legs still feels fine compared from playing with other shoes.
I don't know. I would like to find a Hi Top/ Ankle shoe/boot for walking on concrete. Any suggestions ?
Pretty cool seeing my comment in the video. Love the channel!
LET'S GOOOOO, new EPISODE new EXCITEMENT
are the ep versions or the one with xdr good for ooutdoors? like asphalt or somethin
I would love to see more on React! I have both a Trail running shoe and sneaker with React, but I like the cushioning so much for everyday wear
might not be ur crews cup of tea, but making some long-distance hole puncher holsters would be cool, id definitely would buy.
Shoe is amazing, highly recommend
plz do zion 3 SE, the leather on those are immaculate
Please do a review about puma all pro nitro
Do you have a wallet das also supports coins ?
I tried the shoes, but I still can't dribble with my left hand, nor hit my free throws. Perhaps I got the wrong size? Thank you for these great videos. I'm looking forward to your next one.
😂noice
I’d love to see y’all review a pair Opie way sneakers, I’d love to see how high quality they actually are. Plus it’s pretty rare to find America made sneakers
You should do something special when you pass $100,000 destroyed
Original air jordan ones? Or original Air Force ones maybe. Maybe an entire line of original nike shoes! 👍🏼
I really enjoyed lunarlon for my running shoes.
id love to see a torture test of the bapesta
Do a video on men’s dress shoes
how can we get youre products in the caribbean becauze youre stuff is not on amazon anymore.
I was really enthused to try a pair on because (call me crazy), I want to do this crazy thing called "playing basketball" in "basketball" shoes. the bounce and shock absorption was great, but the toe box was like an effing b width shoe, legit reverse duckfoot bunion situation.
the search continues.
Please review Luka 2
This was a clickbait title for me. The thumbnail suggested that they cut every corner in making these but upon actually watching the video it seems like you liked it. Nothin' but love for this presenter, but where'd the main guy go?
I think he only does boots now. As far as I can tell, this is the full time sneaker presenter.
Is that 10 dollars of shoe with 90 dollars marketing and 80 profit?
PG 6 had full nike react
Most sneakers are lamely designed and over-priced foam with a thin piece of rubber on the bottom.
nobody forcing u to buy the expensive ones
Dear Rose Anvil, please make quality leather suspenders with the logo on the inside. (Attempt number #5)
Can you do a review video of met guard work boots. Iv never heard of this before and it's a new requirement for a new employer I'm going to.
Not mad that they have a new guy but missing the core of the boots and the leather goods.
love whoever had the black nail polish also good video maybe rev the nike invicible run 3 its mad soft idk if its worth it
PLEEEASSEEEEE CUSHION TECHNOLOGY COMPARISON
180$ is crazy
Ive tried to give your BBall shoe videos a chance, but after watching the deep dives FootDoctor Zack goes into. This new guy seems to just be saying some buzzwords. You need some sort of grip test of these shoes.
I didn’t know Seth Rogan did basketball shoe reviews
Its just a styling exercise
You guys should test the way of wade 10 it’s very popular and considered one of the best bball shoes ever made
Oh hey a sneaker guy, whats up
nike didn't go overboard when it comes to actual tech. the only real problem on these was midsole height. if these were a tad bit lower then every other well-cushioned shoe would have been redundant.
react stack should have been lower and dual giant zoom pods (lateral and medial) should be replaced with a single medial zoom pod that's wider but also lower. basically, the gt hustle on steroids, which it should be.
Who is this new guy
El novio
Sneakerhead Seth Rogan.
As a skater, I like the ones done on skate shoes the most. would like to see you do the new Ishod Wair shoe from Nike that everyone's buying (including myself).
much respect for the channel, but the new guy's gotta go.
one of the comfiest shoes ive ever worn as a big man
I'm a professional NBA player and I gotta say I don't really care for these. I can't jump as high with them. I definitely sink less baskets I guess is what I'm trying to say.
Yeah man I’m an NFL quarterback and I can’t stand these either. I definitely score less touchdowns I guess is what I’m trying to say.
First on a banger of a video
Be nice if the community could buy the shoes n fund raise
Tempted to Thumbs down because it is Nike but your info is good. I just do not care about Nike.
Who's this host?
I like the other host more
Day 1 of asking for a tear down the Nike Race/track shoe line
Day 27 of asking you to make Monkey Boots with Nick's
bring back weston
Not a fan of the new format. Sorry
No one asked
@@sethblack8828I’d argue any UA-camr trying new formats or hosts would like feedback on if it’s enjoyed or not by their core audience. At least their comment is fair feedback, your is childish.
I like it
@@tristanedleyNo one asked
I’m not a fan, but that’s cause basketball is lame.
180 n not a spec of leather amazing 😂 what a scam
Stop passing off aggressively paid sponsorships as shoe reviews. It's gross
I agree. This feels like a sales pitch.
These shoes look terrible.. People actually bought them?
Nike sucks
damn you are wasting shoes and then you're gonna throw it to the garbage?? please care for mother earth
Ewww a 8 minute add , thumbs downnnn
Bro. Idk if your data analytics is behooving you “dunk” on every shoe that is sometimes about culture of basketball. But I’d say, maybe chill out on the trend? Lest you wanna look like you got some weird motive here - love your videos tho.
Those shoes look like a highschool shop project, where the teacher says, kids, grab a handful of trash from the landfill, and see if you can create a pair of earth friendly Green shoes. 😢😅 They're actually just garbage rather than innovation.😂
