nop, the two BlindSpot radar sensors are not colocated in the side mirrors but in the rear bumper sides.

you need to get OBD2 scanner to determine what are the reported error numbers!

Hi since your comment is from about a year go it probably wont be of much help now but in case it is. when this message comes on it means there is a malfunction in the blind spot system. weather its an unmet pre requisite for the system to function, a software issue, or a hardware (physical) issue.
I know the E class, ML, and CLS, have issues with water entry into the the two blind-spot radar modules especially in areas of colder climate.
water or snow and dirt would get flung into the bumper eventually collecting in front of the sensors and preventing water from draining as intended. the radar sensors are water resistant not water proof so over time moisture builds up and corrodes the radars and pins or freezes inside the radar destroying it.
it's pretty expensive to replace these modules as they are usually replaced in pairs for safe measure.
the bumper needs to be removed, both blind-spot assist modules will be replaced, along with the harness and and initial startup will need to be performed with the diagnostic equipment some cars even have a modified bracket that they install when this happens to prevent this issue from happening again.
