Customer was stating the check lane assist warning. Scanned for diagnostic trouble codes and found U150487 No communication with right rear radar sensor. Message seen in the instrument panel was "Blind Spot Inoperative" Checked for power and ground to the sensor it was ok. Inspecting the module side terminals found corrosion around the pins. Noticed the module had some corrosion build -up on it also. Due to the location of the module behind the rear tires in the bumper area open to water, dirt, and road salt it is susceptible to corrosion. Recommending a new blind spot monitor module for this repair.

Can I replace the module without taking the bumper off? I'm having the same issue on my 2014 GLK 250.

Hi i have a CLA250. Is there 1 or 2 modules for the blind spot monitor. Is there some on the front too?

I’m getting the blind spot inoperative as well but when I get it scanned I’m not getting any codes. I took the modules out and they weren’t really that dirty or corroded at all. I noticed that when I put the key in the on position the orange triangle lights up but once I start the car they disappear. Is there a way to reset them from the inside of the car? I know there’s some tricky things you can do in the car by pressing this button with that button…etc to get into the computer settings. Any clue if there’s anything there for blind spot besides enable and disable?

How do you remove the clips holding the sensor into the module? Tried pinching the sides and can’t figure it out

Hello. Great video. I also have the same error message on the cluster. I get code c152004. Any idea what it means? Where can I get a list of merc codes?
Also do you have to calibrate new sensor or do plug it in and drive?
    Thanks.

I would try unplugging the side detection blind spot modules and putting some dielectric grease in the connectors. Clean the sensors. If no difference most likely will have to install new sensor/module. C is a chassis code.
List of codes for Mercedes online is difficult sometimes. I always have the best luck with a dealer. Modules usually have to be calibrated with the vin and sensors sometimes are plug and play.

What did you end up doing with the glk in your video. Did you replace the module? If you did, did it need calibration?

Is there anything I can do to waterproof them? Some type of tape or glue? To prevent future corrosion

I have the same exact problem too. It looks like you will have to replace the blind spot unit. Did you figure anything out?
