I have learned ( though have not always applied) that perfect peace comes when I get alone with the Lord and put him first and seek him first and foremost with all my heart soul and strength. Then even when things are falling apart all around me and all hell is breaking loose suddenly I find that I am walking above my circumstances and I have the peace that surpasses all understanding.

God is telling me to fast, stop smoking and be alone all the time. I’m finding it difficult 🙁. He also tells me not to be so hard on myself. Confused 🤷🏽♀️
Norma 30, the same hear doll. You're not alone! God wants me to go into a season of silence, solitude, praying, and fasting. It may last from three to six months. It's so hard that's true, but it's necessary to gain strength and cleansing within. God is trying to get us ready for the very hards times to come so we will be able to endure the tribulations. During those times and these, we will depend solely on God and His instructions ( guidance ) and not man. We will know God's voice when we hear it, and trust and obedience to him will be our lifestyle. This comment to you is for me too cause I'm going through exactly what you're going through. Patricia King - thank you Patricia. I’ve just read over my comment again. I don’t like to sound like I am complaining. All this radical change has shocked me to my core. It’s scary sometimes. I prayed to God for many years for help. To be saved. I had no idea what I was in for. Even tho this is the hardest, scariest time I can remember it is also the safest I know I have ever been. I believe God wouldn’t bring me or you or any of us this far if we are not safe. I’ve had some wonderful times over these past 2 years as God has revealed himself to me. I think it’s time to roll the sleeves up and dig deep. The smoking thing has been the hardest to let go of. For some reason I am holding on to this miserable existence by smoking. It is the only thing that keeps me connected to the old me. I have majorly cut down. Tomorrow, I will try not to smoke. I think I do it through fear of fully letting go. That is coming for me in the right time. I'm on an apprenticeship in a company, which is good, but I feel like I don't fit in. My assistant training instructor Is mean and doesn't helps me at all, she just disencourage me. I'm not happy at all and made the plan to change the Company with the help of the school social worker and the chamber of industrie and trade. But I can't forget to involve and trust god in it all.

Great advice as always Mark. My best friend, who has done missionary work, has a great philosophy about this subject. He says to pursue your dreams prayerfully and to go ahead with what you've felt called to, and if God doesn't want you to pursue it, He has many ways of stopping you. If and when that happens, you need to reevaluate. 😉
I prayed I think for the first when looking for a car for my budget I kept passing the car I got because of a stain and it was a different make at at a different dealership that was one owner used I was surprised that the stain came up really easy surprised why the dealer didn't wet vaccum it but that was I got I had enough money left over for new tires and it's the best reliable car so far all to glory to God for looking over me I for a good godly wife and I thought it would never happen until I was ready to be serious and he know right time to show and help us when he knows your ready you still always need to work on yourself and with his help and your faith it will turn out fight!

This is really frustrating for many people, me included. I sure wish God would give Light for the next few steps, instead of inching up along. Right now, I feel like a rock climber with no step that seems reasonable for my next one. I suppose God knows how much we need the relationship with Him, and causes us to pray.
