- Indian Aztec Clay Mask vs The Cetaphil Clay Mask
We did a prior experiment that showed the Aztec Clay mask should be mixed with apple cider vinegar diluted in water (Water:ACV 4:1)
Overall, they perform similarly but based on ease of use alone, I’d go with the Cetaphil one. Kiehls also has an awesome clay mask!
I used one of these clay masks mixed with apple cider vinegar, and my husband and sons were so offended by the smell that they voted me off the island:(
8xxxxx
Did you add the water ratio 1:1
It doesn't require much
Please give me the recipe
😂
Hahahaha ... same with me 🤪 my son flats refuses to come near me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Indian clay masks have done wonders for my skin especially my dark spots
Would it work for acne scars
Me too
@@kristaaal1387 yea, it draws blood towards the surface of skin
How long until you start seeing results
Did you use with water or what!? And how often?
You know Dr Shah isn't kidding when the spa headband comes out.

😂❤❤❤
I only use the Aztec mask because I like my facial products as natural as possible.
I wish Cerave products are available in India with reasonable price.
wait, are you talking about so,etching else? because the one in the video is cetaphil not cerave
I agree.. but u can try pharma brand products .. there are several affordable products that are close match.. check out pooja reviews she has a ceramides based moistuiser video
@@0613apobangpo but still cerave is way too expensive in india
@@dailyanimalshortsplanet_27 Every American skin product out there is too expensive to afford😓
I think cetaphil isn't that expensive+ it's really good
I love the Aztec mask but you definitely gotta moisturize after.
It definitely sucks your face dry
So should I put on lotion after the mask?
@@ImKloud yup
GOD IS GOOD REPENT DIOS VIENE DIOS ES BUENO ARREPIENTANSE DIOS LOS AMA ABLALE AL SEÑOR SPEAK TO THE LORD HE LOVES YOU ❤️!!!!!
@@ImKloud you should always put face cream. Even if you're not using the mask
The clay mask works wonders when you have a giant zit . It dries out all the liquid inside. I love it .
Which brand?
@@chaku9906 the Aztec one shown in this video
@@chocolatechick729 Do u use it with ACV ?
@@explorer4563 no just water. When u mix it with AVC it stinks lol
@@explorer4563 I also just mix it with water like chocolate said (such a fun name 😂). ACV can be irritating to your skin if you use just a little too much. Honestly, sometimes I actually mix the clay with aloe Vera for the added hydration.
One is chemical filled so Aztec wins for me!
You do realize the Aztec mask produces a chemical reaction when mixed the apple cider vinegar, right? Literally everything is chemicals. Better put some olive oil and call it a day!
@@hmacklemore2226 It's freshly prepared. That only would avoid ingredients in the composition to conserve it.
And without contest more ingredients in the cetsphil clay, so litteraly more chemicals involved.
And it's cheaper !!
@@hmacklemore2226lol retarded logic. Organic v inorganic … natural v. Synthetic … Aztec clay wins.
@@hmacklemore2226 mixing it with water is better and more gentle
Surprise surprise! everything is chemical filled, even that aztec clay mask of yours, even the apple cider/ water that you put on that mask, and even YOUR WHOLE BODY!
I love the Aztec mask, but I do have super dry skin so I just add my own oils. I add honey, rose hip oil, almond oil etc. & There! You have the same mask for much cheaper than Cetaphil mask.
Thnx 😊
Naw, the aztec wins because although its not "easy" its only clay, there isn't 50 diffrent ingredients, it doesnt have gums and other gross stuff. Use a 100% shea butter after and you're good to go.
To avoid any dry feeling, people often add oils n such to the bentonite mask. Castor, avocado, and jojoba oils, as well as aloe and yogurt are some good ones to try
Coconut is exfoliating
I feel like aztec masks are better for individuals with naturally oily skin. I often recommend them to my family members who are of African decent/biracial for their t-zone and cheeks. Specifically my cousin. I show her how sectioning the masks really helps so I often am wearing 3 masks in different areas as well. My Asian family members have dry/thinner skin so I tend to tell them to mix the Aztec clay with a mask that leaves their skin too oily/balmy instead of throwing that product away. As the sticky feeling bothers them. There's always a use/benefit to these mediums :D
Yesterday was my first time using it. I did it the way I suppose to. I didn’t feel pulsating or burning or drying. My skin is extremely sensitive but I felt nothing. No redness nothing lol. I’m trying to figure out why and is it actually working haha.
I think this man’s wide-set eyes are beautiful and compelling to look at.
Dr. Shah hair is amazing. I feel like he needs more props for his awesome hair. 👏👏👏👏
Is he Indian..?
By the way indian clay is for oily skin and acne prone skin, we apply it when we have too much oily skin. I don't know why u foreigners show our indian products in very wrong way without knowing when and how to use that. Indian clay is for oily skin only but whatever u are going to apply moisturizer after any mask no matter how hydrating your mask is!!!
the clay's name is indian but it's not indian it didnt come out here we got it only recently nd if your talking bout multani or fuller's earth that is diff from bentonite (tho they're similar not the same)
@@passionateladki8051 it's indian only!!!!! And i am saying coz it's their in some ayurvedic books and i know very well that multani mitti and this clay is different
I have been oily my whole life and this is the ONLY thing that works to remove oil and also fades my spots.
@@lexijones8019 how often should you use it? Once a week? Every day?
Bentonite clay is from Wyoming. ‘Indian’ is incorrectly referencing ‘Native American’. The real question is why there hasn’t been a lawsuit yet 🤔
I love the Aztec masks. Smell aside it make my skin feel amazing.
Retin-A is way better tho
I prefer to use the hotklai mask. It has natural ingredients like aloe, Turmeric, sea kelp, green tea, Hibiscus etc. You just mix with water and it doesn't burn or itch and helps keep my skin super clear.
Literally I started using the cetaphil a couple days ago and I wish you could see the result after a coupe days, my skin is GLOWING
wow
Can combination skin ones use it?
I have to watch his clips twice. The first time I'm always too busy checking out his beautiful skin to pay attention to the info he's passing on.
And his gorgeous eyes which l know he had absolutely nothing to do with but l sure hope he passes them onto his children....beauty just is and can be appreciated for the gift that it is from the Creator!!!
@@denasharpe2393 right? His eyes, though 😍 And not even in a creepy way (I know you’re married, Dr. Shah!); they’re just mesmerizing 🤩
Ill try the cetaphil one. I used to use the Aztec one for yrs but you are so right. Its a pain in me arse to prepare and use.
Read the label on the Bentonite Clay!!! it also says to use water if apple cider vinegar is too strong or if you have sensitive skin.
People seldom read directions nowadays. They think they know everything already. Can't explain something to young people without them thinking it's up for discussion. 🙄
@@whorn9295 the Asian that sold it to me didn't read that far neither, it's a human thing
Loreal pure clay masks are amazing too also cheaper 🤷🏻♀️
Could you please do a video on whether speciality supplements (such as drinkable collagen) actually work?
Yes! Would be so nice. Plus, is it puts on weight. :)))
I'm waiting for that video too ))
Excellent videos from Doctorly👌 I can watch them 24/7😜 💞
I accidentally left the Aztec clay mask on for longer than suggested and it gave me such a bad allergic reaction that my face became super rough, lumpy with nodules and was SUPER painful, red and itchy! I went to the best doctors and even they were shocked! We did every test possible and realised it was an allergic reaction 😭 it took 2-3 weeks to recover but I still have issues with my skin now because of it.
I mix my Aztec clay mask with water and thankfully I never had an issue. I just moisturize afterwards.
same
How often do you use the clay mask please
@@achorumaureen4451 I do a clay mask once a week, usually on the weekend, I give myself a "spa day" at home. I use original Nivea creme to moisturize after. If I have to go out, I use a sunscreen rather than the Nivea creme.
@@achorumaureen4451Once a week
@@achorumaureen4451i personally use it 2-3x a week
For someone who has super oily large pores. I love the AZTEC clay mask. I mix it with water and it works great. I love it because it literally deep cleans my pores and no other product in the world does it for me. Yes it does get dry but just moisture with a lotion that day and you will be fine.
I have the Aztec mask and it works great.
Cetaphil side looked slightly more dewy
That’s exactly what I wanted to say
Ahh thank you for this, have been wanting to try the cetaphil mask! Dr dray also recommended it on her channel so it’s double doc approved 💪🏼
That’s Aztec one works sooo well to keep the oil back. I have even oily my whole life. This is the only thing that works and it fades my hyperpigmentation. I use it three times a week.
Cetaphil is the best I have used it and it’s really amazing clay mask love the texture and it’s so good for oily skin I love it
I use pure green clay mixed with water, it’s cheap and works great and there is not chemicals
Life is chemicals! Everything is made up from chemicals!
I used to love in the Southwest and would frequently use the red clay from the earth. The best masks you can use are the clay masks and I have the Aztec brand (I’ve got a mask on of it right now). The apple cider vinegar kills bacteria and fungi, which is another reason why it works great with the clay.
We know he is advertising cetaphil
I use the Aztec clay for face and hair mask, love it.❤️
Are we supposed to wash out face with face wash before applying clay mask
Or am I supposed to wash off the clay mask with facewash after it dried out
I need help😅
Usually you wash your face first and apply the mask to dry clean skin . Leave the mask om for 10mins then wipe of with warm water .
I love the Cetaphil line.
Advertisement obviously I prefer natural ingredients pure.
Aztec clay is works wonders and is more cost efficient…just moisturize afterwards whenever you use it
I don't like acv smells too but with oily skin, the Aztec bentonite clay is better for me.
I love the Aztec clay mask lol I actually have it on now
Saaaaame😂😂😂😂
Aztec clay for the win. It’s natural and much more affordable
I like the Aztec mask. Apple cider vinegar doesn’t bother me smell wise as I use it on my hair during wash day and drink it. Cetaphil products I feel dried out my skin too much and left my skin too dry.
I love the Cetaphil mask. It keeps my face so clear.
You can buy glycerin and add in to the aztec mask! That’s what I do and it leaves my skin looking super dewy after! ❤️❤️❤️
So do you add ACV as well or only clay & glycerine? Will it suit combination skin?
@@prachigupta9947 Yes, I use ACV! I actually also have combo skin and started adding glycerine because I noticed that the mask with only water and ACV was a bit to harsh for the dryer parts of my face!
@@theonewhoweeps5118 I'll try this out
Yes! I myself just add in a little bit of moisturizer.
@@prachigupta9947 let me know if you like it! :)
The Aztec mask left your skin shinier
I’m allergic to apples to a certain degree and when I did this with ACV my face would come out tomatoe red. But I love the Aztec mask and have been using it for years. I now use it with organic Rice vinegar to avoid the allergic reaction. Also have a sensitivity to corn which is what regular white vinegar is derived from. Still as effective as it had been before despite the redness.
Never tried the Cetaphil mask but I’m allergic to lots of crap so I stick to the Aztec mask. Trick is that it leaves a wonderful palette for deep hydration afterward. I like to use a hyaluronic acid sheet mask before skincare routine. Skin just slurps it up.
I love the Aztec Clay mask better and I mix my with apple cider vinegar with castor oil or coconut oil and it make my skin feel so smooth and soft
Cetaphil is best for oily sensitive skin..??
My experience with cetaphil is that it’s made for bone dry Sahara desert skin.
Will it be fine if I only use water instead of apple cider vinegar? It's pretty scarce in my place 💀.
I use water with my Aztec and it works great
I hate those hydrating clay masks. I feel like the don’t really remove enough sebum.
They don’t remove anything, they just coat your skin with moisturizers.
Is there a cruelty free alternative to the Cetaphil mask?
Just in case you don't want the extra chemicals use the clay.
You illiterate Karen. everything is chemical
@@sushimoshi9don't tell them about water! 🙈
@@Smaugette
As in synthetic man made chemicals. Not the harvested ones.
I like the Aztec healing for me because it pulls a lot of the dirt in the oils out. Sometimes I don’t always mix it with apple cider vinegar. Sometimes I mix it with green tea. Or chamomile tea if you have dryer skin
Been eyeing that cetaphil mask! 😍😍 now i need to get it! By the way is it ok to use while on retinol?
Aztec mask!!!!❤
Thank You for showing and telling the difference.
I enjoy using Cetaphil products 👍
I love Cetaphil, the suncream I use and there's another one with out sun block for when your in the house
The Indian Clay cligs up drains when rinsing off. Beware!
Your skin is beautiful 😊😱
I love the Aztec product. It is so good for my skin ❤
Docs.could you please clarify the FDAs claim the benonite clay has harmful levels of lead even if applied to the skin. They were refferring to two other brands (not aztec and not cetaphil). But the implication seemed like it was for all benonite clay. Could you clarify? Thanks cool docs!!
Can u try nivea ??
I have combination skin... should I Go with that mask? Please suggest.
please, make a video for cleaning pores! I'm tired of looking for ways to remove sebum(
See their video, minimize your large pores - dermatologist tips.
@@db-gb5xi right going through all their videos if so helpful bc they have countless great videos not only the What but the How! Their general consensus is retinols/retinoids are a great start for the appearance of large pores and controlling excess sebum but the trick is How with Your Specific Skin Type!
@@ferrariunicorn True, they and a lot of other derms have informational videos on dealing with pores.
For anyone wondering you don't have to use apple cider though it says on it that you can use water too. So I would recommend that for more sensitive skins.
I personally use the one from Axis-Y. It's a good one. I just wish it doesn't contain an essential oil. While the essential oil is at the very bottom of the ingredients list, but i hate the smell. I personally prefer fragrance-free products, and if they're fragranced, i still prefer the one with synthetic fragrance because it doesn't smell as bad.
The astec is the effective product for acne...my acne completely disappeared...
Guys this hindie mask is good for face?
I have the Aztec Indian Healing Clay Mask and I usually mix it with acv and apply it. After it dries, I wash it and my skin is pretty red and irritated because of how much it pulled on my skin but my skin was looking great. I just iced my skin afterwards and after a bit my skin looked great! I definitely recommend it for people with non sensitive skin unlike me lol but it still works amazing!!!❤️❤️❤️
I like Aztec clay better I use it in my hair and bath
So much knowledge about skin care!Love him💖
Idk for me I feel the scent of the clay cancels the APV smell plus that Aztec stuff is cheap so I stick with the Aztec and go in with a good ass moisturizer after
What are the benefits of clay mask on face? Thanks
Thanks for this easy and inexpensive treatment ❤
Ive used the Aztec clay and then added coconut oil to my face afterwards. Not sure if that's dermatologist approved but I enjoy it
Cetaphil is not cruelty free, try using cruelty free products. No hate
Cetaphil is life ❤️ I have a lot of skin problems and it saved me 😊
I love the smell of vinegar, it's so clean. But I also grew up knowing how it alters the ph, it's a good degreaser, cleans counters, windows, neutralizes odors, esp. Fish, it's a good rinse for cats and dogs baths, and best of all....I like pickles and vinegar fries.
I just got the mask today (aztec) and it was cheap at marshall’s!
too bad the cetaphil burns the shit out of skin
Where can i purchase these products?
I’ve tried this one is affordable but quality for face foot spa ❤😊
Y’all are bomb. Such good content.
U r an example of woman’s soft beautiful skin on a man’s body ❤❤❤❤
Sorry I have to disagree I used the Aztec mask with apple cider vinegar and it made my face burn by itself is amazing. This is the best for oily skins I promise you it works and its cheap as just careful with apple cider vinegar as it makes it strong and may burn your skin.
Did you dilute the vinegar?
@@Smaugette no straight no added water but it burnt. Now I use it just straight with water no vinegar ouch lol. It works amazing and its cheap as. Don't spend big money on big labels when they all do the same thing
I put a balm on my lips and under my eyes when I use the Aztec clay so that stretch feeling when it dries isn’t bad. Then of course moisturize your face after.
Does clay mask clog pores?
What clay mask would u recommend for oily acne prone skin. I want to start using clay mask but don't know which one to purchase plz help me🥹
In india ayurveda products more popular than chemicals products that’s why my face was always clear but when i moved to canada and since i started using chemicals products my skin got worse by pimples, acne and other skin problems
Yep. Commercial skin care clog my skin and don’t heal my scars. I’ll use natural Ayurvedic powders til I die. Everyone thinks I just got out of high school-I’m 31.
I used the clay one with water and it worked fine
I use the Aztec clay for detoxing my armpits also. Don't mind the smell since I drink it. But Iwill try it.
You mean you just didn’t want to smell the vinegar.. we understand

Can a clay mask cause the skin to purge?
It might be better than the aztec clay but it contains avocado oil and I’m allergic! A lot of products using avocado now as a moisturizer so read those labels!
it’s an Indian clay mask known as Aztec clay. It’s good for your hair and skin which is why it’s everywhere 😭
