2) Kneed for 7 minutes
3) Proof for 1hr
4) Knock back and kneed again for 3-5 minutes
5) Shape into whatever shape you like and at this stage add any additional ingredients you would like
5) Proof for another 45mins - 1hr
6) Pre heat the oven to 220c
7) Put bread in oven and turn oven down to 200c
8) Bake for 30-35 mins or until you can tap the bottom and it sounds hollow.

What a great addition to your channel, I look forward to more cooking episodes. I’m living on the hook this summer and it will be very useful and look forward to cooking myself 👍 Ade
Thank you Ade that’s great and exactly what we hoped for! I’m planning lots more simple tips and recipes in the future and learning as we go as cooking on the boat is certainly different to a kitchen!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏👍
Hi guys.
Lots of top tips in that video.
What make is your cooker, it seems to work better than ours even in cold weather?
We're on the same pontoon, first boat under the grey cover as you go down the ramp.
Keep up the excellent videos!
Rob & Angie
Thank you both very much. Excellent. I am glad there's something in it you can take. Ah yes I know the very vessel. I was looking at it all wrapped up last week. We are normally on C but got moved with the dredging work going on. We will look forward to seeing it and meeting you both! Thank you for watching.
Hi Rob and Angie, we have a Nelson cooker. (I think it’s quite old but was never really used). It’s taking getting used to as of course not as hot or consistent as a conventional oven. 👍
My husband and I will be moving onto our yacht soon, he will be very glad to hear I can still make bread lol
Absolutely.. it’s very much like cooking in a normal kitchen but with no space to move or put things 😂👍 well on my boat anyway!
Great recipe! Culinary greetings from Poland.
Thank you sir! Witam!!

Hi Carl and Charlie, another great video. I am on the opposite pontoon to you guys I have a Moody 31 mkII Cicero. I am going over tomorrow maybe see you there 👌
Excellent, we had planned to but have had something else come up so will catch you next time 👍 excellent, I will keep a look out 👍 have a great weekend and thank you for watching 🙏
@@Thesailing_chef you guys have a great weekend I am sure we will cross anchors at some point ⚓🍞
Hi Chef. The oven, the oven, the oven. It is all about the oven. Standard ovens on boats hardly reach 180 degrees. Tell us a bit more on the ovens or cookers you recommend. Cheers
@@marcderveeuw Hi Marc, that’s a great point, I have not had a great deal of experience with boat ovens as this is our first boat so am still learning. We have a Nelson 2 burner gas cooker with grill. It’s quite a few years old but I have found that if I shut the door with it at full blast for 5 minutes it will reach 180 - 200. (Tested with the laser thermometer). I have also found that there is a big difference between the top and bottom of the oven so the higher up the better. 👍
Great video - We look forward to giving it a go!!
Thank you mate! You can’t go wrong 👍
