I remember my mother mom and dad’s cb radios back to 1977. I was 3 years old going on four then. I vividly remember Dad saying breaker 1-9. A little kid’s memory, if you will.
I love the riff behind it. It's downplayed to accent the dialogue, but the musicians are really great and jam out in the background. I also like how they have the different sounding radios and rigs (like that guy shaking so bad). I love this song! Come on back!
When I was an 8 year old in 1982, my dad owned a cb radio. We moved from Iowa to Michigan with a truck driver friend’s help. I got to hear our truck driver friend talking with other truck drivers from Dad’s cb. I remember our trucker friend speaking with the trucker from Nebraska. The Nebraska trucker informed our friend about a tornado coming in Nebraska. All this happened in early June of 1982. This song and your comment brings back this good memory!
And now for side two. Wait! I remember every song that was played. Does that mean that every song on this album fit onto the Ampex 45 minute (22.5 minutes on each side) Long Play (LP) cassette that we had? o!O
Once having that Album in the 70's,,before AL Gore invented the Net( lol),, I'd wud love to see a Pro Type Vidieo made on every tune of this album.,,,Truckers Vs. Cops. Somebody out there can do this. To make a vid of Ole fun tunes.,,Somewhat like like Hooper mixed with Convoy mixed Buford T. Justice and the good Ole Duke Boys. If I could do it,,I would. ,,,Whatcha think about that Guys?
