While I mained Magic archer in the first one, I am heavely inclined to try out the magic spearhand, trickster would probably to me be used only with Warfarer for intressting synergies but we'll see! Thanks for the video king!
Just a thought, it would be nice if hybrid vocations would let you use weapons from their base vocations like mystic spearhand not locking you out from using sword-shield and staves. Or magick archer allowing you to use bows and staves.

I always used Mage for 1 reason- the Boon spells. You can use the "Help" command to make them buff your weapon on demand. Exploiting elemental weaknesses gives you a huge advantage. But if you give them multiple Boon spells, the one you get will be random. So I prefer being able to switch out my mage's boons instead of having to search for a pawn with the one I need every time. Also with the ability to change skills at a campfire, it's going to be easier than ever to do this. It seems that a lot of vocations can buff their own weapon now, so it might be less important, but I'm still going to start with mage :)

I've now reverted back to my very first choice for my Arisen and that is Archer - if only to get the Stamina augment asap and then I think I'll switch to thief. Main Pawn is a big assed warrior then it'll be rent-a-mage and possibly rent-a-warrior or maybe rent-an-archer because I'll be rubbish at that vocation 🙃
Nice... After much thought, I'll be going with Thief, and main pawn Mage. Rent-a-figter and/or Archer. Also don't want too many pawns running around so may jusy try it out with Arisen and main pawn for a bit.

I am having a hard time understanding trickster. Seems like all of their skills revolve around making mobs attack your clone or run in a certain direction. Being a full CC vocation seems like a huge tradeoff for not doing any damage at all.

I was contemplating exactly this yesterday... I landed on a Thief Arisen and Mage Main Pawn.
Ill hire an Archer and/or Fighter from the Rift.

These are all the advanced /hybrid vocations. There are also 4 basic vocations.
And of course Warfarer, which yoi can mix and match skills with.
