Very nice video and props for the effort but in my humble opinion you should also showcase at 1080p resolution as the majority of 4070 laptops are with that resolution and would cover a much bigger audience cheers!
Yeah I don't think many play at 1440p on a laptop, if so it's probably burned up by now. And why would you want a 4070 in a laptop anyway? For a HUGELY ridiculous price? Just get a desktop, a way better experience. imho

Everyone on youtube says don’t go for 4070 cause their is a huge performance gap between 4070 and 4080 and their is only £300-£500 difference. Also I kinda noticed that 4070 is not using maximum tdp of 140W whereas 4080 doesn’t seem to have this problem

@@lefton_open15 I understand man an rtx 4070 will definitely be a good upgrade from a 1650 but all I was trying to say is only get an rtx 4070 model if it is available at a great discount because otherwise you can get a rtx 4060 model which will be 10-15% less powerful but will cost like 20-30% less at which point it would make more sense but I understand that you need it to record videos so I definitely cannot recommend a 3000 series gpu since encoders in 4000 series is much better. I would say do your due diligence compare prices and models and if you can find a good deal for 4070 model go for it since I can imagine you will be keeping it for a long time in which case a 4070 will definitely make sense for your use case. Bro. Ur laptop is a budget one and ur Rtx 4070 barely lives there. I have an MSI alpha 17 c7vg. R9-7945HX and Rtx 4070 mobile 140w. On Horizon I get 65 fps,but not 45. Ur GPU is not even full loaded in Horizon at 2k high quality which is quite weird. Ur wattage does not even get closer to 100w. In Horizone it has to be 110 at least and has to come up till 127 w.
Yes but the tgp it is 140w too. Most 4070 laptop won’t utilize power at 140w, in most case it runs at only 100w. And there is no difference between 100w and 140w. My GPU hits maximum 100w, when I choose turbo and turn off turbo boost of cpu, I can get 127-130 and I can see how the FPS changes for 10-15 percent. Especially in Far Cry 5 i have notice 23-27fps difference. The second game is metro exodus redux. On 2k i felt a good difference.

dlss 3.5 and frame gen besides the minuscule performance gain… with frame gen you get near double the frames in the immersive games where any hit to input lag in unnoticeable. For example hellblade 2 looks great on my 4070 laptop using quality dlss and high settings around 40-50 fps, but frame gen making it hit 80+ is worth it. I copped an Asus TUF f15 for $950 so it’s great if you cop a deal

No I did not undervolt. The TGP is 140W. But it utilized only 100-110w.

I have this laptop but it has 1080p screen. Do you connect a monitor? Also it has 1 tb ssd did you upgrade it?
The laptop has 1440p screen by default, the default setup is 16gb ram+ 1TB ssd, I later upgrade to 32gb and 2tb.

Oh, I see. Maybe because I tested on default, I did not change any settings in control center. The result maybe different with performance/turbo mode.
