Goddammit, left ear audio only issue. Hate it. Think what happened is that I recorded in mono instead of stereo by accident. I'd have to rerecord the entire video and I REALLY don't want to do that again, so I'll just have to leave it as is. Sorry about that!

You don't really have to do that if you just want mono audio. It's pretty easy to equalize the audio channels in something like Audacity and put it back into the video, provided you don't just use built in features or plugins in Sony Vegas or Premiere or whatever video editing software you're using.

@@BlazingOwnager yeah, in Sony Vegas you just set the audio track setting to mono and it will fix it, or you can switch the individual audio recordings settings to mono. I’m sure there is an equivalent setting in any other video editing software.

Who the hell didn't like this? It may not be the most perfect film, but it's in no way terrible. One of my most favourite series this year. (knives out, glass onion)

To put it simply I didn't like the film, (based upon expectations of liking the 1st) I think calling it perpetual suspension of disbelief beyond what I can tolerate would have been wiser than calling things outright plot-holes. Aside for, why was the Duke killed... if the Duke revealed to Nortons character the info on her death in a coded way (indicting he would have been in the loop to some degree), away from the awareness of the group. Norton killed him because he was afraid he'd reveal the info?... which he already didn't do hence the coded interaction. So why would he kill him, is this not a plot hole or nonesense character logic that can be explained away by the characters simply being stupid. The hydrogen fuel source wouldn't have been running through the vents of the entire house which is somehow implied in the way the explosion takes place, there would be one isolated location for a fuel source, then the energy would be converted into electoral energy for the house. The explosion and Mona Lisa stuff I stand by being ridiculous, even in a sort of parody film which it turned into. This film was far more cartoonish then the 1st. Perhaps ill more careful;y dissect why I don't like this film and what I see as flaws, and be more careful with my words. Anyways thanks for reacting to my content, even if we disagree, never had this before.

My problem was never that you didn’t like the film, but that the criticisms you levied against it didn’t seem fair or hold up to scrutiny in my opinion, and that you implied the people who think it’s good are incapable of thinking critically, which came off to me as pretentious. I personally think you should have taken more time to make a more well thought out review instead of rushing to rag on the movie as soon as you saw it (which you admitted to doing in one of the comments on your video). That being said, I’m glad you can at least admit you could have done a much better job. That’s a start.
Now - about Duke’s death. I think you’re making a huge leap in assuming Duke was in on the conspiracy just because he revealed the news of Andi’s death privately to Miles instead of publicly. You don’t like the characters being stupid and that being the excuse for why they act the way they do, so I’ll raise this point - it would be stupid for Duke to announce that he knows Andi is dead out loud. If Andi is dead, then something awfully suspicious is going on, and I doubt he would want to tip off Helen, or whoever he thinks not-Andi is. I don’t see why he WOULDN’T inform Miles privately. We know Duke isn’t in on his plot because if he was, he wouldn’t have almost revealed Miles was at Andi’s house. So in my opinion, no, not a plot hole, it only is a plot hole if you make an assumption that contradicts what’s explicitly shown in the movie.
Your gripe about the Klear explosion I would say is fine. I agree with you that real-world chemistry would not have allowed it to work like that in real life and that part of the movie is unrealistic. I don’t consider it a huge issue, but like I said no movie is perfect, including this one.
The Mona Lisa stuff I still disagree with you on, because regardless of the political undertones you believe were part of it, the actual reason it was burned plot-wise was because Helen wanted to bring her sister justice by destroying everything that had value to Miles (which I don’t believe is unreasonable within the context of the story). You and I can have our different interpretations about what the meaning of scenes like this are, so I don’t think it’s really something that can be argued any more.
Glad you reached out and left this comment, it’s nice having other creators engage with my videos. I feel the same way as you really. Hope my response was insightful somewhat.

The title of the movie basically gives away that the guy is s******* on anyone who takes things like this seriously? Glass Onion is a reference to a meta Beatles song , that was about criticizing their former and past work and their fans who liked it.

I’d like to add that him saying the movie is written as “cringe, overstuffed… pretentious,” etc, is the WHOLE point of those characters. They’re supposed to be “pseudo intellectual”. These characters are illogical assholes who are trying to seem smart and important, but are really pretentious and selfish and saying whatever they have to say to save their reputations. They’re not supposed to be likable. They’re all assholes, and that’s the point. Ryan Johnson did the same thing in the first movie- making all the characters assholes so that potentially ANY of them could have theoretically been the murderer. And a lot of the characters say stuff that you’re not supposed to agree with. Just because a character SAYS something is true, doesn’t mean it’s actually supposed to be true. It’s like this guy can’t handle characters written like real people- having their own thoughts and opinions that are DIFFERENT than the writer’s, and having characters from different backgrounds who all have different personalities and individual thoughts which can be interpreted in different ways. And yes, most of the characters are written as “cliches” or “ stereotypes,” but that’s because we are supposed to quickly figure out that yes, this character is an asshole, and here’s what their potential motives could be- without having to do a whole deep dive on their history.
And yeah, sometimes people are illogical and stupid in real life. And that’s the point. Not all murderers are super geniuses and intellectuals- in fact most aren’t.
