I've seen a lot of negative thoughts on these new palettes...while I'm over here drooling over the cool palette. I have never been excited for an obsessions palette until this one. I am waiting for mine to come and I am beyond anxious to get it in my hands. I like the cream to powders because I am a sensory person so I really enjoy the different textures.
If I had to pick one, it would be the cool one. I feel like I could get a similar look with my ND Retro palette. This is a cute palette, though. Not everyone owns the ND Retro. I also own her Rose Quartz.
these remind me of the mattes in her larger palettes, but that may appeal to some people who like using their own sparkly shades. Thanks for the review!

The cool toned palette reminds of mattes in natasha denona's retro palette
I think for a 9 pan there a lot of similar colors. Even for monochromatic palette she could have done more variety within the shades.

I really was hoping that the cool toned palette was truly cool toned with colors in the taupe family. I think she should have added a 3rd palette to fit a true cool color story. Formula looks great though!

Thank you for this. I absolutely am getting the cool palette but I'm pleasantly surprised at how pretty the warm one is also! For the sparkle, if I feel like it, I've gotten Color Pop's Stone Cold Fox and Of Quartz palette which are both very beautiful and I see how I can easily combine them with this.

I like both of this palettes but I am definitely going to get the cool one, it's more my go-to look and I have just so many warm palettes in my collection😉
The only one I'm drawn to is the cool palette but there's just something missing. I love how the shades blended together and the cream to powder shadows look great. Maybe, I'm looking for a solid contrasting cool shade ie : a strong grey taupe and/or a black. I dunno, I thought I'd be jumping at this cool one.

Yikes I’m still torn. I have a couple of her larger palettes. I love both of these. These look like they blend effortlessly though, even compared to her bigger palettes.

They look good but I’m a shimmer girl and I think my nude light and naughty nude palettes cover a lot of these shades already plus give me some gorgeous shimmers! Huda’s shimmers are my favorite from high end, and are the only ones in my collection I would choose over an indie shadow. But I bet this would be great for someone who is just starting out with blending eyeshadow or someone who just needs some good neutral-ish mattes. Still loved the looks you created though! Thank you for reviewing❤

I love huda beauty’s pellet they are so pigmented I would say that you invest every penny is worth is tomorrow I am recieve ling matte Cool obsession one and I am honestly very excited because I think I need this pallate for so long ,, I can’t wait to see what next she will launch
I think I was hoping for warm and cool neutrals not an orange and purple palette. Like if you wanted a one stop shop cool toned neutrals palette, this wouldn't do it. It's too pink and purple.

Love the cool one. Think the warm just comes across too orange for me. I have a whole collection of orange Clemson clothes and probably only time I wear orange. Even with that Clemson used to be orange and purple and back then I wore purple.

There's too many repeats in each palette for my taste. They would be beautiful 6-pan palettes but that's not Huda Beauty's style. I have Mercury Retrograde and I wanted it for so long but now I struggle with it since it's so cool, grey toned. Thanks for first impression, it was nice to see great blendability in action.
I thought the warm palette was warm browns. This is straight up orange. I actually like it! I would have picked it up if she’d put some yellows in place of the cream to powder shades. I love yellow and orange together.
Yes these both eyeshadow palettes seem similar to the older pallets but remember she already have discontinued almost all her obsession pallets accept wild , nude obsession if he repeats colours stories she always tried to make new & better formula
I just don’t understand what the point of having 9 shades is when you can only get one look with those 9 shades because half of the shades are literally monochromatic. That warm palette has zero versatility. I also didn’t think the cool toned palette (even though it much prettier) would be that pink and purple. Actually I thought both palettes would’ve been a lot more neutral rather than orange and purple. Glad I waited for reviews because I was gonna buy these but now I’m confident in skipping on both.
p.s. Why is there a random warm/orangish shade in the cool palette?

Totally helpful! I was eyeing the cool palette. I have New Nudes and Rose Quartz. I like the mattes in Rose Quartz better, so I'll be skipping the cool palette.
Huda also in 1 tutorial as a liner. Which I loved the look of. Do you think the cream would work better over the Powders with a liner brush? I hope you try and update us on that. Would love to know. The cream shadows in Empowered palette work very well as liners so it's convenient to have that in 1 place. Hope this do too coz then I would definitely pick them up!
They look superb quality. Only hesitation is about whether the cool toned one (my kind of story too) would show up on my deep skin. But it's a beaut!
Edit: Wasn't expecting it to be so similar to Naughty Nude and New Nude. I already have New Nude 🥰🥰

Wait for it... You know this was coming: The Cool one looks like a smaller ND Retro. Do I need this? No. Might it be nice for travel? I would need to bring separate shimmers so probably not. Will I be tempted in a sale? Only if it's more than 20% off.
I wished Huda did some cool shades that aren’t pink. All eyeshadows palettes she does are either pink or orange (or a mix of the two).

Sadly the cool pallet doesn’t look super cool again. :/ I thought from online pictures it would be more cool toned then it is. It’s still coming in the mail though lol

The only reason why I did not return the cool pallet was because of those cream to powder shades . It made the pallet o a little bit unique, so now I have been on the hunt to find other pallets with the cream included.

There are so many silimar shades in the same palette. They are not going to look very different on the eyes for a light eyeshadow user.

when used together, the subtle differences in some of the shades make a look appear more professional by adding more dimension to it💗 also makes it look more blended and seamless

Thanks for this review. I was more drawn to the cool Mattes, but I have the New Nudes palette, and I am not attracted to the warm matte palette because it is so orange/terracotta.
Huda never releases palette without warm orangey brown color even if it is a totally purple mauve cool palette.
Shouldn't mattes be a little less expensive though? It's like we are "used" to a certain price from this brand so they didn't even bother about changing it :/ - thank you Morgan for this video and the comparisons! I happily don't need these ^_^
Come on...been there , done that. I only get excited about Hudas large palettes made in Italy. These just look like every nine pan she puts out.
