So crazy how full circle we’ve come in the beauty world. 😊 I’m loving an all matte look again though. It’s not going to be something I do that often though because let’s face it, I am addicted to shimmers and sparkles on my eyes. It’s just funny. I learned how to do makeup with all matte shadows. I got an Urban Decay Naked palette later and it had maybe half of it as shimmers and I thought, “ I’ll never use those. Why did I buy this?” Lol. My how things have changed! Now I love my duo chromes, foiled metallics and glitter. Who am I? Haha. 😂
That cool toned look is amazing! 🥰 I've seen a few creators do that technique but not as well as you did it. I've never felt intrigued to try it but I'm definitely going to try it tomorrow when I get my cool palette delivered. Gorgeous look!

I can commiserate with you on the shipping dates, Ulta actually just did that same thing to me. I ordered express (for reasons) , they told me Tuesday, it arrived Wednesday. I realize it's just one day and not a huge problem in the scheme of things. But I think you both agree that for our own reasons, it can matter.
An all matte look would probably last about 5 minutes on my eyes due to having watery eyes. It's a shame because all matte looks are pretty, but they're impossible to fix whereas shimmers are much easier to pat out or add more to.
Maybe trying liquid matte formulas like Danessa Myricks colorfix?
My eyes water all the time as well. I recently discovered matte cream shadows actually stay all day. I get the best staying power with Maybelline cream shadows and Ulta’s cream shadow sticks. I use the maybelline shadow pots as primer. Regular primers ruin my shadow sticks. The elf no budge cream shadows and shadow matte sticks are great too.
I have really watery eyes but I haven't had this issue. I do place the visual corner of my eye above the real one, so that there is no eyeshadow in my corner, just some waterproof liner on top of primer, and that keeps everything mostly in line. I get a bit of smudging from liner, but my matte shadows usually behave well. Setting spray is a major help.
@@montananerd8244 when my eyes water, it usually takes out the whole first 3rd of eyeshadow on my mobile lid and slightly up in the crease (which is where I'm careful to put shimmers because it's an easy fix). It also usually takes out a bit of the outer corner as well, but it kinda looks intentional, like I purposely meant to separate the top and bottom eyeshadow and is impossible to fix no matter what I try. I can't even stick a gel liner over the area once it has watered and taken the shadow away.

I know we're warm tone besties, but I really like the cool one. It's giving Retro Palette... so I'm probably biased because I love Retro, but $32 vs $69 can't beat it!
It's scary to see prices rise, because with things like makeup which isn't a need (it'll suck to not have it, but you will wake up tomorrow if you don't) I feel they rise even more because it's a "luxury item".
Edit: For those cream shadows maybe a more gripping primer like the Kaleidos Primer/UD Eye Potion may be ideal? Like those thinner more liquid ones, because the Sigma Primer may be TOO creamy and the cream shadows have nothing to hold onto. I live in the desert, but used to live next to the beach, and I've noticed more gripping primers across the board work better for my cream needs. Just a thought!

I'm thinking maybe the word or phrase would be "creating a gradient with the colors". Kindof like different shades of a similar color fading into each other. (Maybe that's what you were looking for...idk;)

I used to do this all the time in the 80’s with all those classic drugstore palettes that always had three shades, dark to light. 😊 I need to try it again!
A combo of these two would be my dream palette!

I just bought these! They are unique for my collection!
I stopped buying all warm brown (orange toned) palettes because I felt I needed the contrast of a darker & cooler toned brown as well as a brighter "cream" shade. The Cool Mattes palette has more contrast because it is a mix of warm & cool reds( warm/cool being comparative within a monochromatic color scheme) I do like to add a shimmer highlight to the inner corners of an all matte look just to achieve that pop of brightness I can never get with a light nude matte or use an actual white matte that is opaque. It's hard to find a good white matte.
Maybe use the cream shadows as liners ❤

The colors in the cool matte palette remind me of a few shades from the ND retro palette. Today I went for an all matte look inspired by the one you did with the warm palette, but with more contrast in the inner corner🧡🧡🧡🤍🤍🤍

I prefer shimmers and glitters to mattes, so I would never buy an all matte palette but the cool matte one looks pretty nice in terms of colour story. The shades from both seem to be present or at least close to some of her others like Morgan Turner pointed out, especially the big nudes palette and Naughty nude.
May be u can set the cream light shadow with loose powder to maintain its light color

If you've been getting boxy, I feel like the lunar beauty nude Prism palette & the tarte sunrise combined could do all these looks, albeit leaning warm. I am almost never able to do a single palette look tho - they either skip the ultra dark or ultra light shade most of the time. I wonder if ND sells singles - her deep brown is the absolute best. I am gonna pan that one first lol...

I used the cream shades in the cool pallet on my lid first no primer and it didn't crease at all. * Love the eye look u did with it. * I used a finger with the light cream on my lid I used a brush with the dark.

I got the cool toned one today and used it and I love it. I ordered it not express regular shipping and it only took 2 days .
I only wear cool tones and bought the cool palette the day it launched but I'm disappointed with how very pink it is. I'm vampire pale so most of these tones actually pull warm on my strong cool undertone and also make me look like I have an eye infection. I probably won't reach for it much, especially since my collection is entirely cool toned and I have many options that suit me better.
Can you recommend a cool tone palette that doesn’t pull that pink? I tend to wear warm tones, but I would love a good versatile cool-toned palette.

I only wear cool tones as well! I feel the same way about pinks. I'm super pale with rust red hair and neutral/cool undertones, they either make me look sick or pull warm. I wish this palette was more like the promo pics, with greys, taupes and cool browns. We definitely need more TRUE COOL options!

@@kimberlyoldschool I wear mostly neutrals and purples and my favorite matte palettes are Viseart Cool Mattes and Devinah Cosmetics Eternal Night. Other favorites are Viseart Cashmerie, Paris Etoile and Violette; Sydney Grace Coffee Talk and Eternal Love (both light version); Tom Ford Violet Satine; Smashbox Punked; Vieve Ninetease (still at Cult Beauty); Victoria Beckham Tuxedo. Unfortunately, almost all of my palettes are high end because it's rare to find a good quality cool toned option at the drugstore and ColourPop is notorious for describing a mostly warm palette as cool. That said, I recently bought the Silver Mist palette from Moira Cosmetics and it's really nice quality. I also have a large collection of singles because there were no cool tones to be found for quite a few yrs ago and if you're looking for some, Sydney Grace, Devinah Cosmetics and Give Me Glow are my favorites. Hope this helps!
please make a short where you show how much the creams creased. I was very interested in the cool toned palette but I dont want to spend 34 euros on a nine pan that has 2 duds :/

I'm writing this before you've even started applying makeup so I may end up disappointed but I've been dying to see your review of these palettes. As we seem to have similar taste in makeup, I'm kinda hoping these blow your socks off 'cause then I'll have found the only two nuetral palettes my/any collection needs. Though its got to be said $30 for a nine pan palette is getting a little up there in price, I remember when all of the Obsessions palettes were $25. xx
What an absolutely stunning look with the cool toned palette. I'm wondering if an eye primer rather than a concealer would prevent the creasing? Would love to know if anyone has tried the creams with an eye primer and if they still creased.
Cream shadows are so tricky - it seems like any thickness in a cream will result in creasing or sliding. I love a liquid shadow (if it dries down), but creams just seem too hefty most of the time. I must admit, I hate when palettes mix cream & powder - who remembers which is which when putting together a look? I loved cream when I only wore single shadow looks, but now I blend blend blend 3-6 shadows, and the creams can easilu get too thick when mixed with (or just next to) other products.

I did purchase the cool toned matte palette, but skipped on the neutrals - too warm/orange. But I watched Patty Alonso’s video and she used the cream shadows very blended out; she sheered them out like a transition shade and didn’t experience any creasing.
I stopped using huda along time ago, I have really loved some of her color stories but the quality of them I just can't get passed anymore

Cream shadows don't need primer under them ..I think that's why they creased 🤔

Let me know when you find a solution for creasing. In my case, despite wearing an eye primer it happens within an hour with pretty much any eyeshadow: Mac, Kat von D, Viseart, Colourpop, Milani and any "soft, buttery" pressed powder formula. If I use cream shadows they'll crease in less than 30 minutes, not in 3 hours 😂😂😂 I notice this happens less with "drier" formulas like Rimmel and Wet n Wild 😳 I'm guessing they have less oils in their formula?

I love Hudas pallets and have three of them, and in each one I just find that the colours in the pans do not translate the same on the eyes.
There are a few colours that look super neutral/brown/cream coloured in the pan and then they always turn out to be pink on the eye which is annoying:( I never see anyone else talk about this issue so idk if it’s just me being picky
Man, I would have killed for these back in 2010 and I love all matte looks, but the reality is that I no longer seem to use neutrals.

The moment you said "crease", those palettes vanished from my sephora basket. I have oily eyelids and if it creases even on you it will definitely not last more that five minutes on my eyes.

Everything has gone up in price.
I'm always weary of cream shadows in palettes. I usually count them out from the shades (so these would be 7 pan palettes for me). I have oily hooded eyes so it takes a very special cream shadow formula to have longevity on me. Even the Natasha Denona cream to powder formula has reduced longevity (6ish hours) compared to powder shadow. I'm drawn to Huda's releases but her formulas or her skew towards pink always end up turning me off.

Both pallets have repeat shades! and if u own a lot of Huda pallets you already own this. I did like the cooler look on Angie😊 but I’m skipping on this one!
I deleted my original comment because I felt kind of dumb. I hope I didn't come across rude, that wasnt my intention at all. I was just saying that layering creams has always been a disaster, at least for me. I'm 41 so stuff creases unless it's a waterproof primer like Nars. Sorry about that.
Yeah as soon as I saw reviews from people I decided to skip on these. Too many similar shades and too many pinks.
