I'm milk bottle white and the majority of eyeshadow pulls warm on me, so i snapped this up and i love it. Us super pale people have been somewhat overlooked for a very long time.
What I like about this palette is that it doesn't have any dark shimmer, I never use them. I only like light and mid toned shimmers. Imo "Icy" palette doesn't have to contain any warm shades, so I'm 100% going to get this
I think I’m going to love this. When the critique of a palette is that it has too many light shades, that usually means it’s perfect for me! The colors are right up my alley, too. Just waiting for the sale to start before I pick it up.
I have fair cool skin and I purchased this palette because it does look gorg in the pan. After sitting down at my vanity with it I was struggling to come up with a look tbh. I have extremely hooded eyes so it can be difficult to see the effort and color story I choose for my eyes. Your looks have given me hope and a better understanding of what this palette is capable of. I am going to try this palette out again for another week and then if it doesn't work out return it.
I have a lot of palettes that are too dark, with no light inner corner matte. I think this will be a good companion palette to so many. I know I love her formula even though it’s more work than ND. Your nails are gorgeous!! TY!!!
I like the Huda palette more than Natasha Denona! Very user friendly and as a person who equally loves shimmers and mattes, Huda has the variety to make her palettes exciting! From light to dark in terms of shimmers and mattes. I feel like Natasha's palettes always have only medium toned shimmers that don't differ from each other. 🤔😄
It's always so interesting to hear different opinions! :) I personally prefer the Natasha Denona formula but it's all just whatever fits ones fancy :) On me a lot of these shades looked too similar so it's interesting to hear a different perspective :)
For me as a cool toned „ghost“ this palette is perfect. I admit it probably does nothing for warm tones, but I am really happy about this and cannot wait for mine to arrive.
As a very pale, very cool toned person, I am soooo drawn to this palette. But after seeing the comparison to Rose Quartz I’m struggling 😫 it’s basically all my favorite shades from RQ plus some silver shimmers, which I am not lacking in. It’s still very tempting though, I’d love to see it in person
I wouldn't look at an "icy" palette and expect it to be in any way warm. Some of the colors may read warm on me (super cool-toned girly here) but it looks perfect for me and I'm glad to finally be in the cool-toned palette era! I just got the Mario Ethereal Eyes: Moonlight so I probably won't splurge on this one too but I'm here for the icy-ness!
@@Dovahfinn95 I am super cool toned and the red shade does read warmer on me, but not so warm that I can't use it. Orange based reds are a total no go for me as they make me look sick. I got Mario's Ethereal moonlight palette too. I have seen so many people complaining about the shimmers, but they are ethereal shades or toppers so they don't have the pigment of an ABH shimmer. I have noticed that ethereal shades are not as well liked in the US as the UK. When Charlotte Tilbury was putting them in her palettes people would complain, I love the special shades though. That was my first Mario palette and I loved his mattes so much I bought his neutral mattes palette in the UK sephora sale. The 2 satins in the moonlight palette are an amazing formula, and I'm not normally into satins but now I want more!! 😅
@@Dovahfinn95 oh on the pictures online I felt it looked different too, I think I mentioned that in the very beginning saying something about feeling different when I opened it up.

I did try the neutral mattes palette as well but decided to buy the ethereal palette as having shimmers makes it more usable for me. I rarely do an all matte look.
Thrilled this is a lighter palette. I hope we see more in the future. So excited for a palette with a bright white. But I see what you’re saying about too many similar whites.

Thank you for this honest review! I hate flaky shades so that’s a no for me. And also it’s quite repetitive. Might go for rose quartz tho, it’s been on my wishlist for a while.
Hi gorgeous, if you would like to use the blush on top of powder, try to put the dots on your hands first, then work it into your brush and then go on top of your skin, it will apply much smoother 😊 I picked up the blush and palette too, and I love the strawberry cream shade in their blush! Thank you for the review😘
I really hope it’s not huda’s last big palette. I like seeing the color stories she comes out with (even if they tend to go pinky neutral lol). I have a feeling she included so many light shades because a common complaint with the pretty grunge palette was it wasn’t cool toned enough I also don’t mind pressed glitters and it seems like the rest of the general buying population doesn’t if brands and palettes seem to be including them quite often. It’s interesting to see that disconnect with how much the online beauty community dislikes them
Hmm... I'm not sure that the general population likes them either, they're just not something many people are going to worry about or be put off the entire palette by. (I never use them, but if one's in a palette I just ignore its existence lol)
The pop of blue with that duochrome topper is stunning, sometimes you can't see the shifts very well on camera but that one really stood out. Is that prance I see in the waterline?
I would much prefer if Huda would create small 9 or 6 pan palettes in their 18 pan quality. I personally don't use big palettes anymore and everyone around me is the same. I think the rough textured eyeshadows you mentioned are glitter particles similar to the ones in K-beauty palettes. They don't have base colors they are just glitters.
i wish so MUCH that Huda would simply remake the Desert Dusk palette. its my fav. its very very expired. i would buy it every year for the rest of my life IF it was new and shed keep making it!!!!!!
I love the first look❤❤❤ the pop of the iridescent topper made all the difference… it’s a pity this palette doesn’t deliver as much contrast as we thought it would
Thank you for being honest! ❤ I also love the Huda liquid blushes, they are gorgeous! The palettes... meh. I tried the light pink one that she came out with two years ago and the quality just was not great, as a beginner back then I found it hard to use. I gave it away and discovered indie brands ! ❤❤
I love cool tones but I’m skipping this since it could’ve easily have been a 9 pan. And as someone who also has a light medium skin tone, I would’ve liked more mid tones. I know it’s supposed to icy but we did not need that many pastels that look similar.
Yep, that's a very desaturated cool leaning palette. I am very fair & those shades would look ashy on me! I can't imagine this palette working for anyone with a deeper skintone. But if these colors are your jam or work for you, probably a good palette? I only ever had the 9 pans from Huda & they weren't/ aren't my favorite formula to use. I have all the neutrals I need so I'm happy for all the peeps who wanted cool toned palettes which seem to be trending right now.
Gosh by golly, you look so good with this hair style . Like a Hollywood starlet/ doll Hoping to see the ABH new lip velvet colors on you , oh and are you doing the colorpop lipstick swatch video?
I'm light and yellow undertone, and I can tell by looking this'll be a no for me. Way too cool/grey in a lot of those, they'd make me look sick lol. Oh well, I've bought way too many neutrals recently anyway so probably for the best! (I regret nothing)
My palette arrives today, I also bought the lightest gloss, as I'm super cool toned it's perfect for me! Our Sephora sale in the UK ended at the weekend. I don't know why but with Huda the bigger palettes seem to have a better formula, some of the 9 pans I've had are not as good. So I'm sad if it will be the last big palette.
Okay so my palette just arrived and that glitter shade is so rough and gritty. I will definitely not be putting that on my eyes, I don't normally have issues with makeup, but that feels like it would irritate the skin. The mattes seem very nice and we do have different textures of shimmers to work with. I agree that at least one of the pale colours could have been sacrificed to give us a mid-tone crease shade. I do have them in other palettes though so it isn't a huge problem.

These light shades are in my Ace Beaute Smokey Rose palette. 4 shades are so pale that my eye lids eat them. Seriously, how else would it be?right? 😒 😅😊❤
The only thing I am grateful for when it comes to this carmine and glitter allergy is I don't have to waste money on palettes that I end up not liking overall. I would have gotten this because these shades look good on me, but the pocket book gets saved by the ingredients.

I just opened my palette and I thought the pans being puffed out were a shipping defect? Maybe it is how the formula settled in the package? I’m still on the fence for $69.
I’m on the fence with this palette. I love Nomad ghost town palette combined with ND I need a nude or ND Retro palette and bet I could get similar looks. In saying this if I know myself I’ll probably purchase during Sephora sale as I do own all her big palettes. I do like at least half those shades and formulas and getting more for my money than if I purchased Patrick Ta duos. Those are a hard no for $42

I bought both the blushes the day they released waiting for them to get here still , probably should have waited for the sale but I'm impatient and I had 10$ off so I used it. I waited on the pallet I love the color story but i just don't know if I need more eyeshadow and I wanted to wait for Reviews but they are so mixed that didnt really help me its like u love it or hate it and so far its like 50/50 out of the reviews i have seen . I have seen some pretty looks but I just don't reach for the Huda pallets I already own and I don't want to waste my money . I hate when stuff is limited edition and u have to decide right then or u miss out. The pressed glitter shades always bother me why they do that it's like colorpop??? Why do we need pressed glitter especially in a 70$ pallet and it's a pretty color wish it was just a metallic shade. U made some pretty looks and love that blush tone on u . * Don't know if I love all that texture it kinda makes the lids look older then they are and that isn't a look I'm going for.
I'm a tanner version of the same skin tone, and this helps me realize how the shadows would look on me. Not my fave. Saves me money! Kinda weird being that Huda is also tan
OHHHHHH she said never anything bigger than a 9 pan? Then I bet she’s abandoning the better European manufacturer and if she does anything like a 12-16 pan it’ll be with the shitty Chinese manufacturer! NOW I get what she’s doing. 😂😡🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. Can’t wait to see you review the quality of future palettes!
This color story I love, the lack of intensity I love too ( palettes look almost all grungy on me), but I do have 2 problems with this palette: I find it somewhat similar to rose quartz (maybe too similar) and the fall out. What makes me doubt the price. I know that if you rube the flaky shadows in the back of your hand first they become less chunky but I’m not willing to do the extra mile.😂
Thanks for the review! It's a pass for me. I'm not very much into pastels, and since I own the Bperfect Gravity palette, I have a feeling that I can create a very similar look with this(for a fraction of the price, though) 😊
Yeah, I don’t know why people are so excited about this palette, it’s boring to me and Huda’s shadows have always been way too dry with a low pigment payoff for me. That being said Sam Chapman did a beautiful holiday look with a tiny bit of contour and bling pressed on her lid to swatch several Sephora lip stains and it was so pretty and festive and went with every lip color she tried. Pretty looks though as always - thanks for your honest thoughts as always! 🩶🩷🤎🤍
like I said in the video, when I opened the palette I could see it was even lighter irl than it seemed on picture, and that's how if felt when I used/swatched it too.
You're wright. Huda and we are not Gen-Z enough to talk like that 😂😂 Angelica, I'm alone in my bed 1,5h after midnight but i laughed out loud because you hit it with that 🤣🤣 So funny 🤭
I'm passing on this pallet, the pressed glitter turns me off and she's done that in a couple other pallets i have of hers. It just screams cheap/low effort.
For someone who is much more pale than you probably wouldn’t be able to wear that huda beauty bronzer product right? It even looks a little muddy on you but that may be because you put it over powder and it didn’t blend great
Your hair 😍 Do you prefer the new makeup by mario? I am more drawn to this color story than the mario, but these textures look a bit scary. Not to mention I abhor a pressed glitter.
I think it's beautiful, but I have the Mario cool matte palette which I could pair with shimmers from other palettes so I just don't need this one and I'm a cool toned girl and appreciate cool toned palettes. I'm also on a no-buy right now
See this palette is really good for cool toned people. This is why the 2000s makeup looks never looked good on me. I’ve always wished I can get away with these tones but hey some colors aren’t for everyone
Yeah something about this is disappointing. The mattes were strange choices, even for Huda's skintone. This is a case where a proper MUA brand with knowledge of skintones would do better (ND, Mario). Though usually I think Huda's color choices are excellent.

I was hoping this was all cool toned palette but seeing some warm tones and a pressed glitter, I'm passing on this. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for your honest review. This one's a pass for me.
Sounds like you weren’t digging the palette from the get go 😂
like I said in the video, when I opened the palette I could see it was even lighter irl than it seemed on picture, and that's how if felt when I used/swatched it too.
You're wright. Huda and we are not Gen-Z enough to talk like that 😂😂
Angelica, I'm alone in my bed 1,5h after midnight but i laughed out loud because you hit it with that 🤣🤣 So funny 🤭
I'm passing on this pallet, the pressed glitter turns me off and she's done that in a couple other pallets i have of hers. It just screams cheap/low effort.
For someone who is much more pale than you probably wouldn’t be able to wear that huda beauty bronzer product right? It even looks a little muddy on you but that may be because you put it over powder and it didn’t blend great
I used quite a lot too, you can deffo use less. and yes, before powder 🙈
Your hair 😍
Do you prefer the new makeup by mario? I am more drawn to this color story than the mario, but these textures look a bit scary. Not to mention I abhor a pressed glitter.
Hello! I’m early!🙂
Yea I’m a warmer tone. So I try to stay away from cool toned eye shadows
I think it's beautiful, but I have the Mario cool matte palette which I could pair with shimmers from other palettes so I just don't need this one and I'm a cool toned girl and appreciate cool toned palettes. I'm also on a no-buy right now
i am cool tone skin but i dont like flake eyeshadows… i prefer micro glitters eyeshadows as Pat does!
I keep eyeing this but I KNOW these shades will be too light for my personal preference.
This last big palette could have been a 9 pan, given the duplication of pastels.
See this palette is really good for cool toned people. This is why the 2000s makeup looks never looked good on me. I’ve always wished I can get away with these tones but hey some colors aren’t for everyone
I'm not sure this palette is for me. I've never had any luck with her eyeshadows 😢
Its a pass for me...looks to chalky for my tan coloring and very golden undertone! Thank you for this! The blush. However, is very pretty!!!❤
This can be reduced to 9 pans. Perhaps the reason why Huda is quitting 18 pan palettes
I love cool tones but this palette is so BLAH to me. You did beautiful looks though 🥰 I would rather get the Roxa palette too.
💚
❤❤❤
Yeah something about this is disappointing. The mattes were strange choices, even for Huda's skintone. This is a case where a proper MUA brand with knowledge of skintones would do better (ND, Mario). Though usually I think Huda's color choices are excellent.
