    When I think of Chester and Chris Cornell, all I keep asking myself is WHY?? It's always the great n unique souls who leave this earth long before their time.. I hope they are both at peace now n I am thankful for the beautiful music/art they have left behind

    • @BecsWorld
      @BecsWorld 4 роки тому +4

      Buck Fuddy I feel the exact same way. I love Chris Cornell and losing him was bad enough as it was, but I NEVER expected the same thing to happen with Chester. He is literally my biggest musical inspiration. I look up to him so much. I always felt a special connection that drew me to him because of our shared mental health struggles. The most down to Earth person. I could not listen to Linkin Park until LITERALLY this year because I couldn't deal with it. I still don't truly accept it and I start having a meltdown at the smallest things related to him. Every day I think about him and everyday my heart gets ripped out of my chest once again. I feel truly traumatized by all of this, and I'm not even married to him like Talinda nor am I in a band with him like Mike and the rest of LP. Like I remember exactly where I was, exactly what I was doing, and exactly what I was wearing when I found out. I even remember the order of events that I did after I found out. That's how great of an impact it had on me.
      I would have a hard time with Chester regardless of the manner of his passing, but what makes it worse is HOW he passed. And that is what makes it harder to accept because it's not like he had cancer. He wasn't in a car accident or a plane crash. He wasn't dying of some physical illness. He was perfectly fine in every way except mentally. He didn't HAVE to go. It wasn't unavoidable at all. He could easily have lived so much longer, but he didn't want to because of mental illness. That's what I truly cannot accept.

    • @BecsWorld
      @BecsWorld 4 роки тому +3

      also im sure other people have said this and i dont want to minimize the effects of mental illness on a person since mental illness has ruined my life immensely and ive always had it and always will, but i truly believe that if not for chris passing away specifically in THAT way, chester would be here. obviously not saying its chris' fault. he had his own mental health struggles for decades. im saying that i think that was the catalyst, the straw that broke the camels back. obviously mental illness is a constant battle and of course chester had his ups and downs like everyone else fighting this disease, but i think chris' passing took a toll on him and he couldnt get out of that hole. and we dont know if chester was struggling at that time anyway, so if he was already having an extended depressive episode and then that happens, its devastating. i just wish they were both here. idk how im gonna ever accept and learn to live with the fact that ill never hear chester sing again and we will never have another linkin park album with him and we will never get to see him and mike together in the studio, in an interview, or on stage bouncing back and forth between vocals and rap. a combination that can never be replicated.

      Bec I totally agree with u 💯!! I feel like things like this really hit me hard cuz it shows me that these humans that we look up to like they are on top of the world are really "just like us".. they feel pain, they have problems, etc..n just cuz they can get on stage n give a great performance doesn't mean they are invincible.. I do have my suspicions about BOTH of their deaths, but since nothing I (or anyone) could do will ever bring them back, I choose to just remember them thru their music n imagine them jamming out in some other place with the other great musicians/artist who have passed!!

    • @buckfuddy489
      @buckfuddy489 4 роки тому

      Bec I really feel that the death of Chris Cornell was the icing on the cake for Chester.. n I agree, I cannot imagine the pain of losing a spouse/lover..nor do I ever want to.. I wish nothing but healing energy to Talinda n all of chesters children.. who knows, maybe someday, one of them will step In n make beautiful sounds in LP just like their father did..how cool would THAT be??? 🤘🏼

    "The grmans said Maschine" and yeah ur right. :D So cute to see americans try to speak german in gerneral they pronounce it so hard but you dont have to do it our language is the same soft as english but it just sound so aggressive because we are talking so fast and so loud but not hard or stuff like that.. ^^

    • @AnnaLVajda
      @AnnaLVajda 3 роки тому

      German is a gutteral language it does sound harsh same as Hungarian I went to Europe as a kid and people scared me. Some lady spoke to me in the grocery store and I was terrified she was smiling but her voice sounded like bone crunching and gnashing then my Dad translated she said I was very pretty and she hoped I enjoyed the cherries they are lovely and sweet. So you really have to get past tones and pronunciation sometimes.

      @@AnnaLVajda but most Germans don’t talk so harshly. It’s just because of the pronunciation of words. It’s a Klischee and if this was your experience then I’m sorry but it really isn’t like that

    I can't believe his bandmates didn't see he was struggling. He seems very nervous , he is talking and laughing a lot, that's how he fights his insecurities.

    • @BecsWorld
      @BecsWorld 5 років тому +19

      that's called hindsight bias. its when people think that they should have known the outcome of something in the past and they cant believe they didnt see it when in reality there was no way that you would know the outcome and you would still not see it beforehand. because if that were true, the outcome would have never happened because you knew what would happen and therefore prevented it. its a psychological theory actually.
      we watch these interviews and videos of chester that were mere months before july 20th 2017 and we think "he seems really sad here" "why does he keep laughing it sounds fake" "you could clearly tell he was struggling" "how did no one anticipate this." we think that because the outcome is in the past. because we have already lived through it. and now that we have lived through it, things that you did not see before suddenly become clear, you start analyzing everything that person said and did, you want to blame someone so you can somehow make sense of it all. the truth is that if the outcome had not already happened, had you not already lived through it, you would have never thought anything of these details. you would not analyze their every word and action, you would not be on the lookout for those cracks in the persons wall, you would not wonder how those around him did not know, you would not be blaming anyone (i'm not saying that you are, it's a general statement). you would not blame anyone because you would have no idea and no reason TO blame anyone for anything, because the outcome hasn't happened yet.
      its no fault of anyone else, all humans do it. i lost someone close to me to suicide this past new year's eve and between both me and my mom as people who suffer greatly from mental illness (including self harm and suicidal ideation), we were in NO way prepared for it, it literally was the biggest shock. because we have known them for nearly 20 years, we've been over their house several times, my dad and her husband are best friends, i grew up with their kids. if someone had told me even just a day before it happened that that would be the outcome i would have thought they were delusional because she was one of the most confident and independent people that we have ever known. you can have first hand experience with mental health and suicide, you can be in a band with them, you can be married to them and STILL not see it coming. because you don't want to believe that someone you care about would do that, that they thought your life would be better off without them in it.

      They thought he was getting better BECAUSE he was smiling and laughing more.
      It's easy to say in hindsight that 'oh, they should have known', but would you have suspected that your friend is suicidal if they had been depressed for years but now began to openly discuss it, constantly said they're doing better, smiled and laughed more than ever before and seemed to be on top of the world?
      Not to mention, what makes you so sure that he was faking his laugh here? People who have depression can still smile and laugh, they can still feel happiness- it's harder and more rare for them than for healthy people, but not impossible.
