At least the Captain closed his window before takeoff. I once noticed there was some extra wind noise up front on climbout from Antigua back in the day when LIAT had Twin Otters. I was seated in seat 1B so peeped up front where I noticed that the captain had both hands out the window holding his handkerchief drying it in the airstream! When it was dry he then closed the window. The First officer was Pilot Flying by the way. Good memories 🙂
It has always been my dream to fly the twin otter for Air Vanuatu, our national airline, sadly 11 years after getting my CPL and multi engine instrument rating, I still cannot get in as I do not have family on the inside to help me. These videos are the closest I can get to the twin otter. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

For some reason kept looking at that cockpit little fan thinking, dang that fan sounds like it going to fly apart.

It's certainly an aircraft that makes you learn how to actually fly! You should apply to other Twin Otter operators around the world, don't give up!
