I feel a special type of rage when MLMs target people with mental health issues and tell them not to listen to their doctors and buy their products instead. It’s so deeply disturbing, dangerous, and selfish.
@@victoriashevlin8587 it actually is illegal in the UK, or at least is a (serious) breach of advertising regulations. The Code of Practice for advertisers in the UK states that "some medical conditions should only be referenced in ads if the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of that condition is to be carried out under the supervision of a suitably qualified health professional." The phrase 'some medical conditions' here refers to most potentially serious illnesses for which medical attention should be sought, including most, if not all, mental illnesses. Basically the only people who should be making claims about being able to treat mental illnesses are doctors, clinical psychologists and other approved mental health professionals, and even they should only be prescribing licensed and recognised treatments.
Absolutely. Sorry I'm late to the party, just found this wonderful jewel. I'm a nurse and people like this are genuinely a danger. I can't count how many times I've seen and treated patients who tried to take their own lives after not getting help. I've seen people who have cancer being told not to get professional treatment. 🙄 It's almost as bad as anti vaxxers.
The Monat rep talking about how you only have to spend an hour a day, but you really should spend a lot more than that really reminds me of the flair in Office Space!
omg, I'm super late to this party, binge watching old Hannah videos while I do my cleaning and this is absolutely incredible!! Your face during the "half naked middle aged man" bit was just the best, I got completely distracted from what I was doing just watching you try not to fall off your chair!
One of my favorite things about my 9-5 is that once I clock out I NEVER spend a single second thinking about my job. I never worry about it until I’m getting paid to. I couldn’t imagine living, breathing, and obsessing about work 24/7.
ayy! I just switched from tutoring in public school to baking baguettes and pastries full time (3am-11am) and I agree, it’s a blessing to leave work at work. I couldn’t imagine never clocking out and calling it time freedom
6:44 _"And was told I would be mentally ill the rest of my life."_ Okay, as someone who has been professionally psychiatrically diagnosed...I highly doubt that statement. Yes, many if not most mental illnesses are lifelong *but* never has any mental health professional told me that I'll be "mentally ill the rest of my life" or implied I was only a "diagnosis", that's not the language they ever use, at least not in my experience. They always talk about learning to cope and handle your illness, whether that's strictly through therapy or with the help of medication, and they *never ever* endorse that you will be "like this forever". There's _always_ room and hope for improvement and they push for that always. Maybe she encountered bad doctors, maybe she misinterpreted what they said, maybe she's lying. But to me what she's really pushing is the narrative not to trust "professionals", that they're making up your diagnosis to keep you doped up with "unnatural" meds or because they don't care. At least that's how it comes off imo.
These Huns have no idea what they're talking about. I have doubts about her stay as an inpatient- either it happened VERY differently to how she described, or even happened at all. If someone is highly depressed and has expressed serious su1cidal intent, the doctors wont pop them back out the door with a rubber stamped diagnosis of 'mentally I'll for the rest of my life '. 🙄 Nothing she was saying actually lined up. She's a scammer. Her upline probably told her to drastically embellish a time when she was depressed. So she would have a tragic sob story, and be able to appear vulnerable and relatable.
Working in and being a consumer of mental health services, I agree. I mean, it's a big mess to remove a diagnosis. But you can be in recovery, where your meds are right and therapy is going well or in some cases, you have "graduated" from both. I've never been told that there isn't hope, that I will be a mess forever. I was always told that recovery would require therapy and meds and taking care of myself - eating well, exercise, sleep, avoiding drugs and alcohol. I saw a site that talked about alternative treatment for borderline. It listed the oils to calm when angry and such. But it never mentioned DBT, which is the most recommended therapy for that diagnosis. It mentioned music therapy and oils. (Music therapist are only licensed for music therapy, not talk therapy like an LCSW or LPC. No shade to the music therapist, but the programs I've seen don't go into a lot of detail in psychology outside of music's effect). I'm sorry, I don't see where oils can take away the fear of abandonment that sort of defines the illness.
Im not going to lie. I was sat down by my mental health professional that my personality disorder will never go away. But that there is very good treatment for it and that it can be very well managed and I won't struggle my entire life like I do now just because I've been diagnosed with something that won't go away. It's not curable but it's very much treatable. That's not the case for every psychiatric disorder or mental illness but it is for some and good psychiatrists will be honest with you and tell you what to expect.
My psychiatrist actually told me the same thing. Back in the 1990s often the mental health professionals would tell you that you will have your "chemical imbalance " for the rest of your life and most likely need to stay medicated indefinitely. I actually got very healthy, fixed my gut health and i broke out of the antidepressant rollercoaster in 2016. Been healthy ,happy and stable every since.
Based on being raised in a cult, here’s my two cents on why these people defend the MLM so heartily. Because their own outcome is tied to the MLM/cult/high control group. That’s what these groups do. They tie your own personality, goals, self-esteem, and more to them. So, the way you see them is the way you see yourself. They’re not truly defending the MLM, they’re defending their own choices. And, a lot of these people stay in these groups, bottom line, because they don’t want to admit they were so very wrong. It comes down to fear and pride. That’s why the MLM’s begin with your pain point. They link your vulnerability to themselves to trauma bond you to them. They love bomb you to strengthen that bond. They teach you that any criticism against them is really a threat to yourself. And, because you’re linked, you defend.
The psychologist, Dr Ramani, has recently made a video here on UA-cam in which she comments on how MLMs have all the dynamics of narcissistic abusive relations. The flying monkeys, the love bombing, the future faking, the manipulation, the ostracizing if you don't comply.
I honestly do not care what a person has to say when all I hear in the background is an obnoxious high pitched beeping sound from a smoke detector. It conveys laziness and it's rude to the people that come to watch your MLM pitch. Thank you for pointing it out & editing the noise out.
Thank you for the warning. I haven't watched the full video yet. Now I know, that I would like to skip this one, because as a certain neurodivergent person, this kind of noise hurts me. That' s why it scares me too. It's not because I don't know, what it is, but because it is hurting me.
I get that she’s talking about her personal mental health journey but for a business call she really needs to have a disclaimer in there about the oils not being proven to treat suicidal ideation. It would be terrible if someone feeling that way tried the oils and felt hopeless and unfixable when the oils didn’t work.
I have depression and anxiety and major mood swings. If I wasn’t prescribed my medication and instead given oils to smear on my body I would probably be dead or in a straight jacket in a padded room.
The pure comedy of trying to convince people you have a luxurious, lucrative lifestyle but not even having the time to record a clean video without notifs going off, without time running out, while you're in the car, with your KIDS in the car, or while you cant manage to change the batteries in your smoke alarm...it speaks for itself.

Hahaha yes. Unfortunately blind trust in doctors can also lead you astray. Sometimes I've felt like my health journey with doctors was more like witchcraft than science. Try this med, try this med, try this med... Nothing worked. I've had medical doctors tell me I just had "bad luck". 😳
Ironic that she said, “success is built on failure” sadly in the MLM model this is true. The “failures” of those who don’t do well pay for the success of others above them.

I agree! In my opinion when I hear the word being used I instantly think “oh there is someone that does not agree totally with everything I just said”. Yea, that’s how the world works!
Only because, like so many terms that have been turned around and mis-defined by the very people for whom those terms were made to describe, the word gets misused for the purposes of defensive, passive-aggressive gaslighting. “Karen” is another one, also “karma” etc. Huns take disingenuous to the nth degree 🙄
@@creatrixZBD No, no--the term was first pioneered by people wanting to dodge criticism and vilify those that spoke out against them. No changes or mis-definitions about it. Just look up the old South Park episode about it. Same energy from day one to now.
A friendly reminder from this mental health counselor- you (whoever you are) are a whole and beautiful person, and no amount of struggles or obstacles you might face is ever enough to take even one tiny piece of your intrinsic worth away from you. And please- enjoy that essential oil diffuser all day long, but also seek the services of ethical licensed professionals. That describes most of us- we can help and we WANT to! ❤️
I am dying at the fact that when I heard the first two smoke alarm beeps, I wasn’t looking at my phone and thought it was in my own home. I paused the video to listen for the next beep to figure out which one it was, and then when it didn’t beep again I thought I was going crazy. I wasted so much time on that, and then got distracted with a task and didn’t play the rest of this video for hours. Only then to discover that the beep was part of the video. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
No, I'm not my diagnosis, but I still need medication and therapy for my mental health issues. If you have a heart attack, your not your heart attack either, but it needs treatment. All that essential oils would give me is a headache because I can't stand strong smells.
I just joined! Sooooo happy to be in your downline! You're the ultimate boss babe! Ack! Words I never thought I'd say BUT I am happy to support you and how respectfully you spread the word about how bad MLMs are!
If I had to add "spice" to my mlm lives with having my mostly naked uncle interrupt I'd be flat broke. Self awareness mist be thrown out the window during mlm onboarding.
Just joined!! HOW in the world does half naked Uncle Larry entice people to purchase?! Will be put another piece of clothing on with each purchase?! Reminds me of senior year when the school blasted MMMBop over and over and over during lunch and wouldn’t stop until we raised enough money for some funding or another.
I really hate when people use mental health to try and sell their MLM products. Especially as a replacement for medication. It is so dangerous. They really help stabilize my mood and make it so I can function throughout the day. When I forget to take my meds it is like a night and day difference. If I didn't have my meds there is a chance I wouldn't be here today. And the thought of someone trying to convince someone to buy their oils as a cure to their mental health is just so gross.
omg. so glad you said that, I thought I had a dead battery in a smoke detector somewhere. I paused the video and looked at all of mine...thought I was crazy, came back and unpaused video and then you said that and I was like OOOOOOO okay im not crazy. how does she live with that? must be overworked and overtired.
I have that same sound in a rental property I own. I didn’t know what the heck the sound was so thanks for teaching me something in addition to the unethical nature of MLM’s. Ill go change the battery this weekend lol
When American schoolchildren went mostly online, that was one of the biggest surprises teachers had. So many people just live in homes with the smoke detector battery going off for days, weeks, even months.
This is the BEST anti-MLM video I've ever seen, and I've been consuming this kind of content for well over a year. Bravo, Hannah! I can't join just yet, but I'm watching the ads all the way through until I can! Excellent job. Truly! 🙌
Hannah I am cracking up about your membership ranks, you clever girl. I've been binging you for weeks on end, I am literally addicted. Thanks for putting these out for us. Love your videos!
Using the fact that she “gets to” work at 1am “because of other time zones” as a selling point is the WEIRDEST thing to me. Like I am a night owl and often choose to work at night (I ACTUALLY have my own business) but I don’t do it all the time, and when I do it’s because I genuinely am in the mode and want to. I would never use it as a selling point for having your own business because it’s a me thing, it’s how I work best and when I think best, not the same for everyone and wouldn’t work for everyone depending on what they do for work.
Didn't you know?! With the right mindset, you can do anything! I jumped off my roof and flapped my arms and believed really hard!! I had the right mindset to fly!! Boss baaaaaabe! ...The doctors say I'll be in traction for another 6 months. Haters.
Not the merchandise, Uncle Larry…..NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THE MERCHANDISE. Even if I wanted crappy, tacky, contact dermatitis inducing costume jewelry, Uncle Larry’s demonstration kinda made me want to smash my iPad. Just….NO. 🤮🤮🤮
Love your commentary extra in this one! A lot of these huns remind me of the show Becoming a God in Central Florida. It's a dark comedy about an MLM in Florida, it's SO good. I watched it in a day and they do such a good job of showing the dark sides of MLM's that really don't seem too far off.
Omg I had to work from bed on modified bed rest (and I had to get special permission because mean ol’ corporate America does NOT mess around with medical experts telling you to slow down). Never again. I tried during quarantine and it gave me the worst flashbacks of that time.
When I was teaching middle school and students would have an argument and then go on and on to me about how they “didn’t care”, I would always tell them “people don’t usually spend a lot of time talking about something they don’t care about” 🤣 It’s okay to care! Just admit that it upset you but in the long run you’ll get over it!
I absolutely love all of your reaction faces on this one, Hannah! So relatable! I'm sure I was making the exact same faces. Thank you for all your great content. I love it!
I agree with you regarding DMing MLM participants. ‘Everyone is a Buddha, but many if not most are sleeping Buddhas, and like any sleeping person will not like being awakened before their time’.
I just found your channel and - LOVE IT. However - fun/not fun story - for several weeks our smoke detectors were all chirping and then totally going off in unison. We replaced all of them. All 10 of them. Extension ladders were involved and, perhaps, some cursing. While watching this video, I heard the chirp of the smoke detector and cried out "NOOOOOOO" with the certainty that we have another malfunctioning smoke detector. But then - sweet relief - the chirp was in the MLM Hun's house - not mine. Praise be. Keep preachin', Hannah! Your message and content is fabulous!
I agree with not jumping in their DM!!! Because like you said, they're gonna act like this, then you're gonna have their whole MLM loving posse ALLLLLLLLLL OVERRRRRRR you!
yayy you used my clip :)) yes haha the lady around 13:00 is in fact in monat i also thought it was just so fun how there are so many contradictions hahaha thank you for these!💓💓
Watching the sick MLM working sick, while working on my actual personal business while sick. Ironic. I have a greenhouse business and our opening day is in less than 2 weeks. I'd rather do that than have to recruite people and manipulate them into buying products. I'm currently listening to your UA-cam channel and the birds singing at the same time and I get to play in dirt.
I follow the mlm boss babe and I feel you, Hannah 😂 that first clip is vomiting inducing 🤢 specifically the 2nd time when the uncle says she'll sell all of it when he shows his """goods""" oh god 🤮🤮🤮
I'm sure others have said this, but in my many, many years of having depression and anxiety, I have not once been told 'you will have this mental illness for the rest of your life' by a healthcare professional. Now, this YL rep might have had other mental illnesses which are considered less treatable than depression/anxiety, but I think being told 'this is your lot forever' on the same day as diagnosis, is very, very unlikely.
Oh man, we basically inherited a warehouse full of my grandmother's young living oils, so my mom casually looked into them before selling most of it on ebay. Supposedly this one blend is supposed to help with depression and period cramps if you rub it on the base of your skull. I tried it since I didn't have to pay for it, and after a few weeks of it, I concluded it didn't work. Big pharma's stuff is much more affective. lol Also I can't even imagine being a rep for an essential oil mlm. All those oils put together stinks up the entire house. It's disgusting!

I've binged dozens of your videos over the past week or so (no prior interest in the topic, but I love how you present it), and I feel like I've been subject to some BF Skinner-esque operant conditioning so now every time I hear the words "opportunity" or "entrepreneur" I automatically scowl and my eye twitches.
You are 100% right. When you’re in the MLM it’s impossible to see the other side. I 100% believed everything. The up lines fed me. I honestly believed that I was empowering other women I was showing them the potential of what they could have, I believed it all, when I finally got out when I was able to see it for what it was.
First of all, I have no idea how I haven’t seen the episode with the person feeding their baby Arbonne supplements with coffee. I want to be surprised, but I come from Kentucky where “mountain dew mouth” was prevalent in children growing up. 🙃
I thought that chirping was my fire alarm ... I was so concerned. I live your videos. Thank you for helping me feel more confident telling these Huns no. Being ADHD and compulsive i knew i had to avoid these people like the plague.

OMG THANK YOU for pointing out the difference between "personal development" and "professional development." That grinds my gears every time!
Awww yay! Thanks for your support Melissa!! ❤️
If I had to add "spice" to my mlm lives with having my mostly naked uncle interrupt I'd be flat broke. Self awareness mist be thrown out the window during mlm onboarding.
I really don’t understand who thought this was a good idea 😂
21:43 hannah where is your academy award 😂😂 glorious performance
“Time freedom is the freedom to work all the time” yep! That about sums it up!
25:12 Ngl this "hater" sounds like someone who knows her and is desperately trying to reach her while also venting about their personal frustrations.
Could be!
My dog thanks you for editing out the smoke alarm chirp, she’s an anxious old gal and that first chirp had her concerned haha
Aww poor pup!
DOWNLINE MEMBERS RISE UP
AJ 😂😂
Can we bonus buy?
You see, this is a productless pyramid scheme so all you have to do is recruit to rank up (like Monat Australia) 😂
How many spots are left I wonder? 🤔
I got in on day one, so I’m going to be one of the first to rank up. Such a life changing opportunity. #blessed #bossbabe
Hahaha I did the same thing the first time I watched it!!
@@juliekennedy9891 that would drive me crazy. I can't stand it for the 5 minutes it takes me to find a new battery.
So did I 🤣
That first clip, omggg hahahah im dying.
Eta: Wait! That’s her uncle?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Knowing that it's her uncle makes it 100x worse!!
This is the BEST anti-MLM video I've ever seen, and I've been consuming this kind of content for well over a year. Bravo, Hannah! I can't join just yet, but I'm watching the ads all the way through until I can!
Excellent job. Truly! 🙌
You’re awesome Kelly!! Please no pressure to join the channel membership, ever ever ever. You being here is more than enough! ❤️
Damn straight 😍
Now gurl you KNOW i normally love me a semi blurred half naked man in speedo's . But this? THIS?? Oh hellllll nooooo
Oh come on Dave! I put that clip in there just for you! You didn’t like it? 🥺
Hannah I am cracking up about your membership ranks, you clever girl. I've been binging you for weeks on end, I am literally addicted. Thanks for putting these out for us. Love your videos!
The smoke detector 😱 how does one become so oblivious
Using the fact that she “gets to” work at 1am “because of other time zones” as a selling point is the WEIRDEST thing to me. Like I am a night owl and often choose to work at night (I ACTUALLY have my own business) but I don’t do it all the time, and when I do it’s because I genuinely am in the mode and want to. I would never use it as a selling point for having your own business because it’s a me thing, it’s how I work best and when I think best, not the same for everyone and wouldn’t work for everyone depending on what they do for work.
the gemstone rankings made me ugly laugh lmaooo
If I hear the word “mindset” one more time… 😤
Didn't you know?! With the right mindset, you can do anything! I jumped off my roof and flapped my arms and believed really hard!! I had the right mindset to fly!! Boss baaaaaabe!
...The doctors say I'll be in traction for another 6 months. Haters.
The mindset of the CULT you are involved in 😂
Not the merchandise, Uncle Larry…..NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THE MERCHANDISE. Even if I wanted crappy, tacky, contact dermatitis inducing costume jewelry, Uncle Larry’s demonstration kinda made me want to smash my iPad. Just….NO. 🤮🤮🤮
The emojis are the BEEEESSST
Can you imagine if he was supposed to be dressed and she's like "oh fine just wear whatever" (barf)
LOVE them
Love your commentary extra in this one! A lot of these huns remind me of the show Becoming a God in Central Florida. It's a dark comedy about an MLM in Florida, it's SO good. I watched it in a day and they do such a good job of showing the dark sides of MLM's that really don't seem too far off.
I have heard about that show! I need to watch it!
I died when you said you badly want to shake them. 😂😂😂 Also you should have said you only had 7 memberships left! 🤣
Only 7 spots left, get in now!! 😂
"oh wow, it looks like we care alot!" made me laugh. Thank you for hanging out with me while I work. :)
Your face when he came into frame made my whole day
The first one is the uncle in the speedo omg I am dead 💀🤣 Hannah your top fails are the best in my opinion
Dude the first time I saw that I almost spit out my Lavender London Fog like omg 😳🤮😂😳
@@channel69gorlworldnews66 out of curiosity what is a Lavender London Fog?
I am so sorry your eyes had to witness that 😂
It’s sad how their upline manipulate these girls into quitting their job that pays you to decade your life to volunteer for an MLM.
Wow.. uncle speedo is just next level... 🤣🤣 holy heck I'm traumatized even with blur. It's your UNCLE girrrrl 🤣🤣
If my uncle was walking around like that, there is no way in hell I’d be putting that on the internet hahah
Part of the top 1% 😂 Love your channel Hannah 🤍
So happy you joined my team!! 😂😂
I'm so glad you said that was her smoke detector. I thought it was mine! I was about to hunt for which one.
I absolutely looked around my home for the chirping!
I agree with not jumping in their DM!!! Because like you said, they're gonna act like this, then you're gonna have their whole MLM loving posse ALLLLLLLLLL OVERRRRRRR you!
Hannah's reaction at 17:38 because of that hun's little speech is priceless 😂
yayy you used my clip :)) yes haha the lady around 13:00 is in fact in monat i also thought it was just so fun how there are so many contradictions hahaha thank you for these!💓💓
Thank you for sending it Elena!! ❤️
I KNOW EWWWWW
If you have to get up earlier or go to bed later than usual you are not working it into your schedule.
This is such a good point!!
@1:57 if you get three friends to join the membership and one friend becomes ruby in the same month, you become double diamond! 💎 💎
I played every ad full length for you babe!
Amanda you ANGEL!
I do that as well, every single time on every video i watch ❤
This is by far the BEST of the Best videos I have ever watched! THANK YOU Hannah !!!
Aww yay thank you for your support!!
I’m an esthetician and i’m in a few groups on fb for esthetician’s and this mlm hun was seeing her esthetician and then went on to promote on her socials that her mlm skincare helped her skin. I hate it
I've binged dozens of your videos over the past week or so (no prior interest in the topic, but I love how you present it), and I feel like I've been subject to some BF Skinner-esque operant conditioning so now every time I hear the words "opportunity" or "entrepreneur" I automatically scowl and my eye twitches.
I just laughed until I cried on the first clip. Again, not a comment on her, just the situation. Like how did it even occur? So bizarre.
The best part of these videos is Hannah’s facial expressions!!!! 😅😅
I swear their smoke detector batteries always need to be changed 😂
You're welcome for subjecting you to the Pappa hun and her uncle 😂😂😂😂
I love/hate you for that 😂 now we all have to suffer
@@HannahAlonzo hehehe I'm so happy you put this in there! 😂
@@kristyrussell1748 I can’t decide if I love you or hate you for that 😂
i literally screamed out HUH when I heard uncle larry
Rise in the ranks without selling bad products I can get behind that
You are 100% right. When you’re in the MLM it’s impossible to see the other side. I 100% believed everything. The up lines fed me. I honestly believed that I was empowering other women I was showing them the potential of what they could have, I believed it all, when I finally got out when I was able to see it for what it was.
Yay new upload!! One of my favorite anti mlm youtubers and family friendly lol 😂❤
Yay so happy you’re here!!
@@HannahAlonzo ah yes the most family friendly thing ever, a half naked man in a speedo
After the downfall of BOO I hope the essential oil MLMs are next.
Ewwwwwww whyyyyy???? So disturbed. We should definitely be worried.
Paparazzi huns truly do the wildest things 💀
The GEM STONE rank created by you made me burst out laughing 😂
One thing I can't stand is when one of these mlm huns, (happens in the reseller community as well /wave from a fellow reseller
First of all, I have no idea how I haven’t seen the episode with the person feeding their baby Arbonne supplements with coffee. I want to be surprised, but I come from Kentucky where “mountain dew mouth” was prevalent in children growing up. 🙃
LOL, I am relieved it's not MY smoke alarm that's beeping (I thought it was, at first-- so thank you for mentioning it)!
I thought that chirping was my fire alarm ... I was so concerned. I live your videos. Thank you for helping me feel more confident telling these Huns no. Being ADHD and compulsive i knew i had to avoid these people like the plague.
OMG !! Your facial expressions 😂😂😂 Love it .
OMG...I thought it was my smoke alarms, stopped the video, and went searching ..LOL
4:17 no. That's a no from me. Can you imagine???
That first story had me double take and just as I'm coming down I get hit with the the uncle plot twist and now I've got to sit down for a bit.
Hahaha so many twists and turns!!
Yikkkkkkkkes! What?! Why would you ask your uncle?! I have no more words.
