In my nearly 60 years on this planet I have never been more impressed with a young artist than I have been with Emily Bear. May she continue to grow as a composer and musician
Hey! Do you think us GERIATRICS should start our own branch of the International Emily Bear Admiration Society? I am coming up for my 71st, but in my heart I am still in my teens, especially when I watch the wonderful Emily...
I am a 71 year old Vietnam vet and I have been inspired by her talent for several years now. It goes deeper that her piano playing and includes a depth of feeling. She deserves everything she gets.
Today is my first time seeing Emily play, and I am in tears. I am a piano teacher, and I recognize Emily's immense talent for music, but, more than that, I am so moved by the emotion that flows from Emily into the music that she plays and composes. Emily, I know that your music will bring joy to millions, and I wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness as well.
Emily Bear is one with the piano. A previous video comment mentioned she was, "a generational talent", to which I agree. She came from an environment that nurtured her talents and she learned to enjoy and love the personal expression in music and the satisfaction of creativity beginning at such a young age. Playing with her heart shines through.
Possibly the greatest composer/pianist of all time, certainly among them. And, from what I can learn about her, she appears to be a fine human being as well. Here, in addition to the Veterans she honors with this composition, is another true role model and hero. May God continue to bless her, and us through her.
Dear MLE, as a Navy veteran, w/ a son on active duty, who is currently aboard a Navy destroyer in the Med, your beautiful composition and performance really touched my heart. I think that you are an amazingly talented young artist, and a gift from God to the world. GBY, EB! 🎹 💫
Emily I served in two wars and your music reaches me deeply. You are a very special young lady, thank you for your understanding of veterans and the road we walked then and now.
Emily your a remarkable young lady. The Bravest Journey brings to tears to my eyes. Keep up your wonderful work it's beautiful. I was never in the military but you've inspired me. You can definitely feel your music is from your heart, that's a true talent. From God
Wow! Emily Bear and Bravest Heart is heart wrenching and the vieo after is so chilling,. it makes me want to stop complaining about the little stupid things in my life. thumbs WAY UP to Emily Bear!
Incredible, my great grandfather was involved in World War II and this probably will touch his heart as much as it touched mine. It really sounded like a brave journey and should be in a major motion picture. Emily, I am stunned about how much effort you put into this piece and I love it. Thanks, Fellow pianist William Sutcliffe
Wow I came across one of your videos for the first time 2 days ago and I must say, what an inspiration you are to us all. I am looking forward to follow your carrier that I have not doubt will be wonderful. You are the future of of film music. And what a voice too. Your emotions come trough your music. What a gift. Thank you Emily.
Some people need to take drugs to get "high" - I simply need to watch and listen to such wonderful artists; that gives me emotions that are beyond description. How can a girl that age be so mature?
I just discovered Emily Bear on my phone and l am so amazed at what a beautiful child she was at such a young age. I am an artist in visual way, but love music of her classical type. It fills my heart with joy! We are so blessed by people like Emily. What a beautiful life she shows one can have and make for others. Bless her and her family. Fran
What a pleasure & a privilege to have accompanied you at the recent WDO concerts in Israel. Your incredible humility precluded me from realizing what an amazing sensation you are. Your musical talent just speaks for itself. Greetings from Bernard Caplan in South Africa.
So happy to hear about a young and successful person using her extraordinary talents to salute and give praise to our outstanding military veterans. I love listening to Emily's truly transcendent performances.
Not only very talented from birth, but has remained very modest with it. She won my heart when I first saw her on the Ellen Generes Show when she was six. She has matured in to a truly beautiful woman. Long may she play. (And happy Birthday -:) )
Emily thank you sweetheart, for your music especially this song to Veterans, it brought back feelings of times past. I served in two wars with two branches of service the Army and Marines. I will continue to follow your career because many important pieces will be created by you, Emily.
This old soldier has loved you long time lol. Beautiful composition, very emotional for the combat veterans I'm sure. Can't wait to hear your next offering in the Classical genre. USArmy Europe 1962-1965
Certainly one of the best musical tributes not only for USA soldiers and veterans but for all the soldiers and vets on our planet Earth....She is a genius of musical composition....
Just look at those lovely long fingers! Such an impressive young lady. I appreciate this song. I'm a veteran's wife and I can feel every moment of what my husband's career has been in this piece. Well done! Thank you.
Hi, when I showed this to my dad he started to cry because my grandfather was a veteran we were so lucky to have him bake now this is my ring tones because of u thank u a lot.
This girl is stunning in her talent, more than that she is a musical genius. She and an even younger English girl are I sincerely believe on their way to being the most famous and successful composers of the 21st century. They will shortly be known simply by their surnames like Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. In Emily's case she will also be alongside Strayhorn, Gershwin and Porter. These two, Bear and Deutscher, are the future of serious music and in Emily's case also jazz.
This feels amazing! The music speaks directly to the heart. You speak from your heart with feelings through the music directly to other hearts. And it's wonderful. Thank you for playing.
Thank you for this. I served in the sevice diring the time of the Viet Nam conflict. I know that many of the veterans werre scorn spit upon during this time. This mucic I thanks touches all men and women who served. Thank you for such a beautiful truibute.
There is a Christian song titled, "No Matter Who Or What We Are, We Must Praise". The song says something like"If I were a writer, I would use my pencil, If I were a drummer, I would use my cymbal. . . ". Well, Emily is a musician & she "uses her music". Her talents & gift are a wonderful testiment to the power of the creator. I thank her for her caring & sharing, & I thank our past, current & future service men & women for their work. God bless!
I see a goddess in you Emily! You simply allow Music to flow through you, you become a door, an instrument, a medium. Wow, no words to describe the awe! Its not just the music but the Energy that is flowing through you! Solute to you madam, namaste, and any way one can express reverence...(folding my hands!).Thanks to You Tube that i was able to see you!
What a poised & elegant young lady Emily is.......besides being beautifully gifted! I wonder if Emily & Nathan Bortnick have met! Nathan is just as much a genuine gentleman as Emily is a genuine lady. It would be great to see them playing together at side-by-side pianos!
very nice piece but it was bothering me that the orchestra wasn't playing in time with each other at parts, to my ear. probably a common problem in live performances so not to take away from the beautiful piece.
It's interesting that none of these musical prodigies (Emily Bear, Alma Deutscher et al.) seems to be strongly drawn to freely atonal or serial music. This suggests that some sense of tonal centredness is hard-wired in the human brain.
Jan PhD Yes, quite like Mozart in that she is a gifted composer and pianist, but with a style and heart very different than Mozart. Perhaps concentrating on the prodigy of an individual rather than the nuances of her music in comparison with Mozart will allow you to show genuine appreciation of a talent that transcends technicalities. With respect.
May I add that Mozart's inspiration was generally a tribute to himself. Miss Bear has become so appreciated for her compositions dedicated to others' achievements and experiences. How uplifting from a young person in a very self-centered society.
I am wondering why some people still dislike the performance of this wonderful , extraordinary very young and beautiful lady..... tsk tsk...
Devotees of trash music, obviously. They can neither intellectually nor spiritually process this fine music and a fine, lovely composer.
In my nearly 60 years on this planet I have never been more impressed with a young artist than I have been with Emily Bear. May she continue to grow as a composer and musician
I'm 85 and I feel the same way. I have been watching her since she made her first UA-cam video. 2 or 3 years old

Put my name down. Today I am 79y9m4d old.
TexExpatriate1 I hope you, and we, are able to enjoy Emily's music for some years yet.

Diane Wright Yes. Emily Bear managed to choose her parents very carefully indeed. This was just the first of her remarkable achievements.
Beautiful, Emily! This song should be in a military movie dedicated to the service of our wonderful veterans.

Emily, your music brings tears of joy to my eyes. I marvel at your abilities and your what appears to be a light hearted spirit.
Music comes as naturally to her as breathing - amazing - what a staggeringly talented young woman.
Dear MLE, as a Navy veteran, w/ a son on active duty, who is currently aboard a Navy destroyer in the Med, your beautiful composition and performance really touched my heart. I think that you are an amazingly talented young artist, and a gift from God to the world. GBY, EB! 🎹 💫
All gave some, some gave all....you give your heart to all, thank you Emily Bear for caring.

As a military wife this is a very emotional piece. Such a beautiful young talented woman. I can feel the journey...

Emily's name will also be spoken along with Williams, Goldsmith, Horner, Silvestri, Zimmer, and other greats of film scoring, I believe.
She's great. Period.
I kept a TEAR, thru the entire video !!! That little gal has heart! and is SO smart !!! Thanks
Thank you M. Had tears in my eyes watching this. You are a truly beautiful soul.

The music speaks directly to the heart.
You speak from your heart with feelings through the music directly to other hearts.
And it's wonderful.
Thank you for playing.
Powerful and meaningful musical piece I think veterans of all free nations should appreciate!!
Thank you for this. I served in the sevice diring the time of the Viet Nam conflict. I know that many of the veterans werre scorn spit upon during this time. This mucic I thanks touches all men and women who served. Thank you for such a beautiful truibute.

Emily, you are simply amazing.
I am most definitely an emotional writer as well. This piece is truly amazing!

It's beautiful excellente pianiste
Bravo Emily!
Do you sell sheet music for your piano compositions? I would love to learn how to play the first piece! 😩
She could write some movies theme songs...
She has! Check out this playlist of about 29 of them: ua-cam.com/video/__TY3ggFThE/v-deo.html
She’s fantastic and doesn’t get offended being compared to Mozart.
❤
very nice piece but it was bothering me that the orchestra wasn't playing in time with each other at parts, to my ear. probably a common problem in live performances so not to take away from the beautiful piece.
Were do you want to land?
❤️❤️❤️❤️

P.S. Check out Yuja Wang!
This girl has hipe. At least she likes EDM
Open my eyes manibaum
Who SAYS THERE'S NO GOD! Look at our young people these days. Emily is the prime example. Take a minute and see my other favorite, Grace Vanderwaal.
WOW..... :o)
Mysteriously proven...
Is Emily a good example of an Indigo Child? Or is she simply a reincarnated soul (perhaps Vladimir Horowitz comes to mind!)
Wonderful composition but not really like Mozart.
I think they mean she's like Mozart because she has the same enthusiasm and talent, not in the way they compose.

Music expresses your individuality. Of course she’s not like Mozart, they are two different people :D
Beautiful. But please do not sing!!!
