I have also adopted the Czech Pirc as my black opening now for last few months and really enjoy it as well. Love your teaching style.
Finally, a UA-cam chess teacher who clearly explains the way to really learn an opening. Way too many players from beginner to club level think they should memorize a multitude of lines, only to become lost as soon as their opponent deviates from those lines. Dude, today was my national tournament and my last game was the one where if I won I would qualify. My opponent definitely studied me so I know to change a colle system line. I won a pretty good otb game today using this system for the first time. Because of coach Robert's explanation of the ideas, I was able to navigate the game even though the move orders were all different. Thanks Coach!
Thank you so much for this video I used to play the colle system but now I know a new variation that seems better. Everyone is you see this follow him now for improvement!
What a great explanation. I enjoy how you describe the pawn structures and what squares they control. I just discovered your channel, so I'm hunting for more.
I messed around with the original Colle system and gave it up quickly, however watched through this and getting instant results, amazing teaching as always 👏
Despite my english i follow your Channel which is tremendous for thé player I am(1850 elo in thé seventhies )and Côme back to chess after a break of 30 years with you and blitzstream👏👏👏👏
You got it Frederic! Let me know how it goes. By the way, instead of replacing your Vienna, just try to add new opening to your repertoire and you will get to the point where you can easily play multiple openings 👍
wow its an amazing opening . Today morning I saw it and thought i will play it later becuz i needed to be perfect in it . But today I was playing a match I mouse sliped to e3 instead of e4 and then remembered your video and continued with d4, Nf3 Nbd7 etc and i won the match even tho my opponent was 50 higher rated than me . Thanks Robert for the Video 👍.
I only now got to this lesson, thanks to your videos I moved up before from 900 to 1300 but there I got a bit stuck because of not finding my way with white. First three colle games won, this is working great!!
robert, thank you for making these lessons...chess didnt really "click" for me until i watched your videos. now i can actually use and understand these openings, thanks my friend.
Great lesson, many thanks. No wasted time, well organized and planned. I've recently learned this opening and enjoy playing it. Your tutorial will make it easier. Thanks again.
I have played thousands of games in this exact position. An early a3 for white is often needed if the black Knight is on c6, preventing Nb4 attacking whites bishop on d3. Black's most aggravating setup involves g6, Bg7, and 0-0. Studying the games of GMs Yusupov and Kovacevic are a good start.
thank you soo much i was reading and practicing in the book and in your other lesson that you gave us an exemple of a colle system game, now its morre helpful, i will start studying this lesson this night thank you :)
@@NMRobertRamirez yes i spent the week studying it with euwe's book, and i watched your old video again, and i spent this evening studying this lesson, looking for some other variations, and i have played games among myself etc, I loved it, I didn't want to comment until I mastered it very well, if I have any questions, because this lesson is all just amazing !!! thank you very much for all you do !!! Amazing explanations, thanks very much for the video! I specially like the way you switch between moves, pawn structures, and plans. I will watch all your other videos in the next weeks.
Another brilliant lesson thank you very much coach. I don’t normally like d4 openings but I liked the look of this one and thought I’d give it a go…practiced on the bots first til I was familiar with it then had a go in a blitz game and won first go. I’m pretty certain I won’t win every time I use it but it’s another one for my repertoire…thanks again.
Thanks Robert. Ne5 is right up my street. Will try it later this week. Colle is like a reserve opening for me. However I play c3 instead of b3. Take on c5, play e4 looking for a queenside majority if it go's to plan. (Colle ending). The b3, Ne5 plan seems more exciting though.
thank you Coach Ram.. , you really help us a lot on how to improve our game with step by step situation ...pls dont stop sharing your knowledge with us beginners ... good thing I subscribed to your channel ... very helpful ..😁😁😁
Really liking this system! I've mainly been using the opposite side castle idea with the London, but have been getting tripped up by my opponents recently. This Colle has been a fantastic addition and the 2 Bishops lined up looking at the King side then sliding the Queen over has made for some really nice attacks. I also like how, similar to your Pirc/KID set ups, you really can use it against virtually anything Black plays. I hope you do more on this system... I've been looking at some of the GM games and DAMN can you say double Bishop sacrifice ftw!!! Mind.. Blown!!!
Often, there is knowledge about opening, middlegame, pawn structure or endgame and we have to struggle to tie them together. With this kind of video, we have the whole picture. Thanks!
I'm very thankful because of found your channel, I'm surely improved a lot while watching your videos, again thank you for the great video keep up the good work👍💪❤️ You are an awesome second coach to me and for even 🆓
@@NMRobertRamirez yes i took with the queen i was a superior position plus 5 but i blundered in limited time and lost it happens to me a lot in blitz i am not very good at blitz but i hope by playing i can learn this opening thx
25:42 Why not Nd7 takes on Ne5? I know you explained that pon will be string there after f4. But this is dubbeled pons. Then on 28:11 You say look at this dubbeled pons. Why is it there not good and if white has the same it is good?
Hello Eugene! Regarding Nxe5, please see these exact moments where I talk about having a pawn on e5: ua-cam.com/video/-k0u3_mnwkk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/iaXd4jntUF0/v-deo.html Basically it comes down to the attacking possibilities. Let me know if this makes sense 👍
Hi Robert. Amazing channel. I am supporting you now as I value your teaching so much. I'm loving the CZ. But I have 2 questions. 1) What helpful adjustments to the CZ can be made when black castles queen side? 2) How does the CZ work when black plays a g6/KID type defence? I'm having less success against these defences with the CZ and am wondering what adjustments can be made? Thanks so much teach, Daniel.
1. You can play the c4 plan , Ne5 is pretty good also since it control the centre or you can mix these plans and you can play a3 and attack with a pawn storm.
Great video @NMRobertRamirez! I played a few games with that system but found that the black pawn on d5 blocking white's d4 pawn can often make the bishop on b2 unusable, what is the best way to put that bishop in play or remove the d4 pawn (when it cannot make the obvious dxc5 capture)?
There is a maneuver of the dark squared bishop Bb2-Bc1-Bd2-Be1-Bh4 , I have seen some good playing this maneuver and you can also play c4 and sometimes e4 breaking the position and lastly, dxc5 is not a bad move dxc5 can be played in the colle zukertort and even in many positions it is the best move in the colle zukertort.😊
Hi Robert, Fantastic chess channel. Always very instructive. I have a precise question re placing the Bishop on D3. In fact, I got punished several times by the Black pawn moving to e4 and forking the bishop and the knight. Hence I tend nowadays to place the bishop on e2. What's your best advice Re that move as it blocks the queen to move to that square ! Tks for your reply
A must-have book for this opening is "Grigory Bogdanovich, The Zukertort System: A Guide for White and Black " Even the introduction is interesting as it explains it's scope, namely that this system assumes black plays ...e6 and ...c5. So it's not a "system for all" like the London. Zukertort doesn't work for: a) KID-ish setups b) Black plays early ...Bf5 or ...Bg4 c) Black plays c6 (Slav / Semi-Slav) Colle-system (instead of Zukertort) works a bit better against KID but better is to go for mainline against the KID.. Against he popular Slav/semi-Slav the Zukertort is problematic too, so best is not be afraid and go for sharp Moskov variation. Most club players prep for Meran mostly. I know people seek simple formulas but this is reality. Get the book. Cheers!
Thank you! 👍💪 With that said, feel free to try it against KID and anything else. Only Carlsen can prove if it is effective or not 😜 Nah seriously, at this point, it is about you guys making it to the middlegame and experiencing new position types 👍
@@NMRobertRamirez Or an alternative is also to buy the book "Zuke 'em: The Colle-Zukertort Revolutioqized by David Rudel". This book goes seriously into alternatives where the Zukertort variation of the Colle doesn't work. Peronally, Robert, I'm not a fan of teaching people a Pilsbury (d4-e3-f4 + Ne5) setup against a g6-setup (KID, Grünfeld). But I still love you (like in Bro-love, not man-love lol).
OMG I JUST PLAYED A 15|10 match with this and it was amazinggg i beat a 1497 rated with myself being only 1356 the attack was beautiful even though i fail to look for the mate in 3 but it was sooo goood now its good to train on the tactics i guess.
Hi Robert, as always appreciating your videos very much. They are really bringing me to a higher level. Thank you! Playing the Colle Zukertort I ran it to trouble playing against the king’s Indian defense. Today I learned about changing into the Barry attack when facing Nf6 or g7. Do you play this and if so are you planning a video on it?
@@ronvanliempd3274 absolutely. We are going to go over almost every opening including the Barry attack. When we talk about this one, we will also review the Veresov attack 👍
Thanks a lot for your kind words! And yes, we have a lot left to talk about strategy and positional play 😎 In the interim, feel free to check out the playlist I have put together with all the lessons we on strategy 👍 ua-cam.com/play/PLQKBpQZcRycrItQHTvowBfgAt8Ea4z119.html
This opening looks like the London System, except the C1 B is fianchettoed instead of developed to f4, and seems to provide the same dual option of either launching a fierce K-side attack or playing more positionally maneuvering in the center. It also looks like you could transpose into this after starting with 1.Nf3, so adding this to one's repertoire would be pretty straightforward if you're already playing the Kings Indian Attack some fo the time. It also conceptually reminds me of the difference between the Czech Pirc and the Pirc, where the B is fianchettoed in the latter system but not the first. Is there a reason for teaching/training purposes that you recommend the non-fiachetto opening be learned first, followed by a similar system that adopts a fianchetto at a later point in time?
Robert, I tend to improve my play a lot more by playing games that are at least 15 minutes + 10 per move. Blitz chess for me has a tendency to result in an increase in moving before thinking.. Thus, blitz promotes the bad habit of not visualizing or just thinking. I do play some ten minute games for speed in playing a game, but I am cogniIzant of an increase in mistakes.
I already commented but forgot to say, you and IM Andras Toth are the two most underrated guys on here for chess. Would be cool to see you two play a few games or something
TY for the vod! After reviewing this and S. Williams videos I picked up the CZ. Is there a CZ-style line that is recommended vs the KID setup? Also, 2 ...Bf5 is pretty annoying
It was Bishop f5 that gave or is giving me the trouble, I have found the counter, c4, I just played a game, I lost because I had made a blunder, did not do h3, allowing my pawn on h2 to be taken and that really caused problems, I fought back but in the end I was check mated. could not castle. King safety key.
Great video! I wonder what happens if Black gets his light-squared bishop outside the pawn chain. Something like: 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.e3 c5 4.b3 Bg4. I wonder if we should change our plans and put our bishop on e2 instead of d3 in that case.
So funny that I was looking over a colle system game and realize that you I just uploaded this 😂 but good stuff, I’ve now been leaning more towards have my new chess repertoire featuring my new main openings: White: London & Colle | Black: Pirc & KID
@@NMRobertRamirez well I tried it against an approximate 1850 rated player on chess.com daily chess game play, and I saw that he has a FIDE rating of like 2073, and I was able to get the win in 31 moves! As it would bring my daily chess rating from 1860 to now 1872
Robert, really enjoy your videos. I have been playing the CZ since you taught it to me. Having trouble with 1.d4..d5, 2.Nf3..Nf6, 3.e3..g6. How do you play this or what do you switch to?
Hello Henry! I recommend just following the same approach and then fight in the middle=game. You will certainly get a good middlegame position. Then, we start playing Chess 😎💪
@@henryb6710 Yes, just like we covered in the London, VS the KID set-up it's wiser to leave our bishop on e2. It comes specially handy when Black plays e5 because then we wouldn't have to worry about their e4 push forking both our f3-knight and d3-bishop
31:40 you tell that you like to play the birds opening hehhe xD you are crazy, xD i love to play it too but i dont find the variations of this opening hehehe it will be very fun to play hehe :) im waitint for the futur lesson of a new variationn of colle system and thank you so much master i review it now and i like it more, i will review another video now and take rest after :) have a nice evening all :)
@@NMRobertRamirez i can't wait to see the bird in a lesson it's gonna be cool and fun, i find it funny heheh a french streamer, ace played against carlsen years ago just for fun, because he thought he was going to lose, and that he always wanted to play the bird if he ever got the chance to play against Carlsen, for fun, and he did Draw agaist carlsen with his bird . I promise you carlsen was going to lose, luckily for the world champion he found a draw by repetition agaist the birds xD heheh, and started failing in perpetual repetition for the draw, and the streamer, wanted to win xD it was funny to see, because nobody can expect that xD the video name is (blitzstream kevin vs magnus carlsen ) heheh
@@NMRobertRamirez hahah yeah i found it very funny with the youtuber who was very afraid of losing and as if he was playing his life in this game, the video is short if you can not find it tell me I send it to you on facebook the link directly, and frankly the game was interesting, with this variant of the birds, and I know a little about this youtuber he is very tactical and fast hehe so it was a good game of birds heheh xD and funny game heheh
It is good to supplement this with a good repertoire for black playing the King's Indian and a good queen's gambit repertoire for it black plays Bf5 on move 2. Your opponent doesn't always make the moves you want them to.
If black doesn't move d5 and later moves to d4, thus preventing white's Nd2, should white press on and castle, sacrifice the night, and complete the rook lift, etc or transpose to a different middle game?
Also, I find to bots tend to not castle, because they see white massing pieces to attack on that side. All this said, the opening does still offer a strong position which I have turned into wins--I just haven't been able to get a bot to "go along with the program" and and allow me to attack as you described--I guess that's why the call it chess. ;o)
When Black brings Nc6, I always prevent Black's attempt on my d3 bishop with an immediate pawn to a3. I'm only a third through your article, so apologies if covered.

You are more than welcome! Let me know how it goes with this new variation 👍💪
What a great explanation. I enjoy how you describe the pawn structures and what squares they control. I just discovered your channel, so I'm hunting for more.
I messed around with the original Colle system and gave it up quickly, however watched through this and getting instant results, amazing teaching as always 👏
I've played the Colle for years (not lately, mostly the other one - Koltanowski), and this is a really nice refresher. Thanks!
Good video on the topic man. I've played the CZ for years but via a 1. Nf3 2. b3 3. Bb2 move order. There's a lot of good info here, nice job
Despite my english i follow your Channel which is tremendous for thé player I am(1850 elo in thé seventhies )and Côme back to chess after a break of 30 years with you and blitzstream👏👏👏👏
Nice overview of an agressive opening for white. I'll test it in replacement of my Vienna for a while. Thanks Robert 🇨🇵
The Door to the Next Level!
Thanks Coach!
Very much! Funny that really I like d4 openings but yet want it to be somewhat aggressive also.
Another crystal clear lesson from our Master Robert, how can we thank you NM Ramirez?
Hello Alberto! Knowing you guys are finding value in these lessons is more than enough 👍
robert, thank you for making these lessons...chess didnt really "click" for me until i watched your videos. now i can actually use and understand these openings, thanks my friend.
You are more than welcome! Glad to see you are finding these lessons useful and appreciate your kind feedback. Thank you! 👍😎
Great lesson, many thanks. No wasted time, well organized and planned. I've recently learned this opening and enjoy playing it. Your tutorial will make it easier. Thanks again.
I was struggling with finding an opening that I like for white, great lesson and thank you very much!
You are more than welcome! Let me know how it goes 👍💪
I subscribed to your channel. Thanks a lot for the lessons!
You teach me and I teach my kiddo
I have played thousands of games in this exact position. An early a3 for white is often needed if the black Knight is on c6, preventing Nb4 attacking whites bishop on d3. Black's most aggravating setup involves g6, Bg7, and 0-0. Studying the games of GMs Yusupov and Kovacevic are a good start.
Wow!!!!! Thank you so much.
this is a new weapon for white 😁
Its the 1st day i found this channel.
Hello! Welcome aboard and feel free to ask me any questions you might have 👍
@@NMRobertRamirez thanks. I Will explore ur channel first before making a question 😁
thank you soo much i was reading and practicing in the book and in your other lesson that you gave us an exemple of a colle system game, now its morre helpful, i will start studying this lesson this night thank you :)
Yes, I know you liked this opening! 💪😎
I haven't slept since yesterday hehehe :D

Such an underrated opening!!! Makes me feel like Tal sacking like crazy in blitz games
Amazing explanations, thanks very much for the video! I specially like the way you switch between moves, pawn structures, and plans. I will watch all your other videos in the next weeks.
This channel feels like the best kept secret on chess youtube :)

I watched other chess channels in UA-cam but your videos are the best. Thank you.
Very underrated channel! As a state player myself I'm learning alot from your content bro
Good job NM!!
Thanks a lot for your feedback, Daryl! It means a lot 🙌👍
The Nimzo Larsen attack - my favourite opening with White - leads to similar positions hehe
thank you Coach Ram.. , you really help us a lot on how to improve our game with step by step situation ...pls dont stop sharing your knowledge with us beginners ... good thing I subscribed to your channel ... very helpful ..😁😁😁
You got it Ronald! We still have a long way to go 👍💪
Thank you, Robert. Outstanding channel.
You are more than welcome, Carlos! 👍
Mind.. Blown!!!
Any chance you might add a video about lines where black plays Bf5 or Bg4? That's where I run in to the most problems. Thanks for the great videos!
Hello Joel! Yes, we have a few lesson left about the Colle 👍
I'll stick with the Pirc but learn this any ways as I like the rook lift ideas, it seems very agressive.
Another fantastic video. I only discovered you recently but your already one of my favorite channels.
Thanks a lot for your kind words! 🙌😎
That my favorite opening with white with good results
The more I watch this lesson the more I love the colle!
Often, there is knowledge about opening, middlegame, pawn structure or endgame and we have to struggle to tie them together. With this kind of video, we have the whole picture. Thanks!
I'm very thankful because of found your channel, I'm surely improved a lot while watching your videos, again thank you for the great video keep up the good work👍💪❤️ You are an awesome second coach to me and for even 🆓
Thank you! It is always nice to see feedback like yours! 👍😎
Can you do a video on the Colle Koltanowski variation with c3 instead of b3, please?
Yes, I just made a note and will try to go over it whenever possible 👍 We still have to talk more about the Colle 😎
I usually played e4 and KIA Pirc as White and i was looking for a d4 opening i will try this thx coach
Excellent! Let me know how it goes 👍
I played on liches and my opponent played an opening called anti colle sistem:))
@@Mr354135 how did it go? Did you play Bd3 when they did Bf5?
@@NMRobertRamirez yes i took with the queen i was a superior position plus 5 but i blundered in limited time and lost it happens to me a lot in blitz i am not very good at blitz but i hope by playing i can learn this opening thx
@@Mr354135 absolutely! And more importantly, you will learn more Chess in general 👍
25:42 Why not Nd7 takes on Ne5? I know you explained that pon will be string there after f4. But this is dubbeled pons. Then on 28:11 You say look at this dubbeled pons. Why is it there not good and if white has the same it is good?
Hello Eugene! Regarding Nxe5, please see these exact moments where I talk about having a pawn on e5:

@@NMRobertRamirez Thx Nice t see your lessons. Chess seems so easy but I have reall troubles getting better. I learn a lot from you thank you
Thank you so much for the road map. I pray that God blesses you.
@@rinamazumder6408 Hey, thanks for this 🙂
At 26.55 wouldn't black capturing Nxe5 be the best moment, since Whites Queen is preventing f4?
Then follow up with Qc7 and d4 push?
Excellent, I've been waiting for this one. Thanks Robert.
You are welcome! Let me know how it goes 👍💪
As someone who plays the london, I like this alot because its similar but you don't run into Qb6 issues from Black
Good day sir Robert.. which do you recommend? .. colle system or london system?
Hi Robert, Fantastic chess channel. Always very instructive. I have a precise question re placing the Bishop on D3. In fact, I got punished several times by the Black pawn moving to e4 and forking the bishop and the knight. Hence I tend nowadays to place the bishop on e2. What's your best advice Re that move as it blocks the queen to move to that square ! Tks for your reply
Great episode. Other than doing puzzles, what do you recommend for tactical training? Thanks for the great content.
Dude Tomorrow is my tournament this helps very much thank you🎉😊
hey, this might be a late comment, but this opening is working great for me. but at 30:00, what if instead of rc6 black did bc6?
Hello! I think our rook takes on a7 and remains on the 7th rank 👍
I just found your channel. This is great. I love your simple explanations.
Thank you, Jacob! Welcome aboard 👍😎
A must-have book for this opening is "Grigory Bogdanovich, The Zukertort System: A Guide for White and Black "
Even the introduction is interesting as it explains it's scope, namely that this system assumes black plays ...e6 and ...c5. So it's not a "system for all" like the London.
Zukertort doesn't work for:
a) KID-ish setups
b) Black plays early ...Bf5 or ...Bg4
c) Black plays c6 (Slav / Semi-Slav)
Colle-system (instead of Zukertort) works a bit better against KID but better is to go for mainline against the KID..

OMG I LOVE THIS CHANNEL I CANT STOP WATCHING now pirc is my main opening for black
OMG I JUST PLAYED A 15|10 match with this and it was amazinggg i beat a 1497 rated with myself being only 1356 the attack was beautiful even though i fail to look for the mate in 3 but it was sooo goood now its good to train on the tactics i guess.
Hey Coach, at 23:00 instead of Nxe6 could we do Nh7?
Hello Adam! Nh7 is still winning, but the main problem is that it allows Black to do Nxd4. Nxe6 seems to be the most accurate continuation 👍
@@NMRobertRamirez Yes, that makes perfect sense, I didn't even think about Nxd4.
I meant g6..
@@ronvanliempd3274 absolutely. We are going to go over almost every opening including the Barry attack. When we talk about this one, we will also review the Veresov attack 👍

Hi, great video. What would you recommend playing against g6 Bg7?
Robert, I tend to improve my play a lot more by playing games that are at least 15 minutes + 10 per move. Blitz chess for me has a tendency to result in an increase in moving before thinking.. Thus, blitz promotes the bad habit of not visualizing or just thinking. I do play some ten minute games for speed in playing a game, but I am cogniIzant of an increase in mistakes.
That makes perfect sense, Lloyd! The key -in my opinion- is to keep a balance 💪
Hi Robert, thanks for a great video. Is there any chance you could suggest a low theory response for white when black goes for a KID or Benoni setup?
I already commented but forgot to say, you and IM Andras Toth are the two most underrated guys on here for chess. Would be cool to see you two play a few games or something
Thank you! It would be a pleasure to do some Chess with IM Andras Toth 👍 Maybe one day we do something 😎
Hello! Be2 absolutely 👍
@@NMRobertRamirez Thanks!
So for that reason would you always delay developing the white bishop until he either plays e6 or Bg4?
Can you make a video on the Sicilian defense? I never know how to play it right. But I do win some games with it regardless.
Yes, that will be the next opening we will learn in this course. Probably lesson # 110 👍
So funny that I was looking over a colle system game and realize that you I just uploaded this 😂 but good stuff, I’ve now been leaning more towards have my new chess repertoire featuring my new main openings:
White: London & Colle | Black: Pirc & KID
Perfect timing! Let me know how it goes if you try it 👍
@@NMRobertRamirez well I tried it against an approximate 1850 rated player on chess.com daily chess game play, and I saw that he has a FIDE rating of like 2073, and I was able to get the win in 31 moves! As it would bring my daily chess rating from 1860 to now 1872
@@Leeedy_1 💪👍 congrats!!
I am playing the colle and when black fancetos his king, how is the best way to attack, castle opposite and pawn storm... PLease advise.
Could you make a video about the other plan, pushing e4? (Instead of c4). It leads to interesting positions but it’s vague for me strategically.
Hello! I am sure we will address it later in another lesson. We still have a lot to talk about regarding the Colle 👍
@@NMRobertRamirez glad to hear it! Thank you for everything!
@@NMRobertRamirez Bd3 just seems bad, staring at those pawns.
@@henryb6710 Yes, just like we covered in the London, VS the KID set-up it's wiser to leave our bishop on e2. It comes specially handy when Black plays e5 because then we wouldn't have to worry about their e4 push forking both our f3-knight and d3-bishop
Can you please point me to information to play the zukertort against g6 with bishop fianchetto?

Amazing video 💯
Can I ask a question
If you go for c4 variation
is it okay to do Qc2
It is good to supplement this with a good repertoire for black playing the King's Indian and a good queen's gambit repertoire for it black plays Bf5 on move 2. Your opponent doesn't always make the moves you want them to.
If black doesn't move d5 and later moves to d4, thus preventing white's Nd2, should white press on and castle, sacrifice the night, and complete the rook lift, etc or transpose to a different middle game?
Hello! At point in the video? 🤔
Also, I find to bots tend to not castle, because they see white massing pieces to attack on that side. All this said, the opening does still offer a strong position which I have turned into wins--I just haven't been able to get a bot to "go along with the program" and and allow me to attack as you described--I guess that's why the call it chess. ;o)
I like very much your vidéos, Mr Ramirez. Just a technic question: after d4,d5-Nf3,c6-Bf5 what do you think of Nh4 ? Good? Bad? Ugly?
When Black brings Nc6, I always prevent Black's attempt on my d3 bishop with an immediate pawn to a3. I'm only a third through your article, so apologies if covered.
Another amazing lesson, thank you!
