JAMAICA: DEMONSTRATION- HOW TO MAKE MOLASSES-UREA FEEDING BLOCKS

Demonstration of how to make molasses-urea blocks. The demonstration was part of the Regional training on Small Ruminant Husbandry from March 14 to 19th 2016, in Hounslow, Jamaica.

Cement is the binder used to the make the blocks more solid. Magnesium or Calcium Oxide could be used instead. I personally wouldn't use cement due to the additives it has. But it is not that bad if you have no other option. Otherwise great DIY idea. I use similar method while making protein tubs for my cattle. Saves tons of money and you are in control of the final product.

Very interesting. In Algeria, we try to do it with "robb" sirup from dates palm fruits.
