That's nearly how I make my silage for my cows, but I wet the grass a lilli with molasses, and seal the drum for days, then give it to them, jah know them love it.
My brother, if I may I'd like to suggest a method I use to mix my feed and that is I bought a small cement mixer, the upright kind and it works fantastic for mixing all types of feed..I recommend this brother, GOD bless 🙏❤️

When pruned, they produce a huge amount of green waste. After leaving this waste in the sun, I give it to the goats, and they love it. Is this wrong and is it permissible?
Question; you say one can keep it in the drum for months after first opening? Is that so? If so what exactly should I do? I just shut the drum and leave it like that for months or?

Mould can be dangerous. You need to wear a mask when you are handling it.
the fella should not feed it to the goats even if he dries it.. Sooner or later in blood test the mould will show...

Mr Bernard, 1 major take away, your feed tray are too close. the animals can damage one another.
You have a good style of feeding yet your goats are skinny✌️
It boils up in barrel that way is not good
Mould toxicity is very dangerous
Molasses give the goats worms 🪱
Not true. Bag feed has molasses in it it doesn’t give the animals worm. I don’t practice worming animals and don’t have such problems
I don't really give them molasses because I feed them out in the fields where I live....sometimes I will give them aleo vera the white part of the aleo vera bended and added to the water..helps with the cold and other problems
Do you know how much I can get a boer goat for?
