I think we also should notice , how much we all enjoy their always egoless communications with listeners , and each other. Its not that way on all channels. In today’s world this is more valuable than the equipment.
IDK they have some pretty cool stuff
Dude your ego is out of control, don’t even know why you would bring ego up here it’s irrelevant to normal healthy individuals .
@@humanactivated1017 ❤️
Tim pierce just fascinates me. I really dig his style and the way he plays.
I am so happy to see you two together. Awesome!
Two pleasantly humble musicians, with tons of skill, experience and musical knowledge… and yet, two nicer gents you aren’t likely to find in your travels.
So cool. He’s got some insane tone going on.
Proud to be part of that very special 13% of subscribers!
The volume pedal thing..Brilliant ☝️🧐💯
Love it Tim ...
So much information.....we met the other nite at the Mint....thru Marty...your biggest fan...
I could watch videos like this endlessly!
Such a smart and cool setup, thank you both for sharing!!!
Great video, Rick. Love anything with You & Tim. You guys are so much fun!
Tim is one of then only guys i look forward to his "warm ups"
Two of the best together ❤️
:) I remember this. I'm always trying to get a good ergonomic situation unendingly. ...and dodge possible water disasters all around.
Tim’s the kinda player you can safely model your rig after. I LOVE his approach to tracking music. Music, that’s what it’s all about. 🎶
Tim’s a guitar mad scientist!!
So much fun really enjoyed this
Would like to see a schematic of this setup.
Tim is incredible.
I'm such a nerd that once he started talking about the Diezel I knew this was an older clip. He sold that amp about a year or so ago. I need to go outside and touch some grass.
One thing about the amp-cab-switcher. Take an Ampete or a KHE instead the Kahayan… we tried to contact them, personally and by the shop, no answer. And not just one time. So we ask things to ampete and KHE, and finally get their products.
It is no wonder Rick's channel has such sky-high listenership/subscribers. Whenever I drop in on episodes just posted, I can see the "views" number tick up like an odometer on a highway roadtrip
Please do a video with Dave Onorato again.
Rick, I think you mean more guests!! Not Better, you have amazing guests!
Great musician and sonics master!
I am subscribed, and so glad I am. :) nice to see you and Tim. shit, they went to the moon with less gear than that!
- How much equipment do you need?
- Yes.
Man that's some ancient Dell monitor.
❤love this meet up
4:56 yeah cool amp and all but that is a damn good sounding guitar!
Great sounds. It’s really hard to get these great sounds via miced cabs into a DAW and out of studio monitors.
If Tim Pierce uses a volume pedal, perhaps we should too! Thank you both.
It's funny how he has all this optimization for comfort with the gear and then sits in a basic garden chair 😅 As someone with back problems that's usually what my eye is drawn to but glad that's working for him!
Beato and Pierce. The kings of UA-cam. Hail to the kings!
And all of that right at your fingertips. It’s your cockpit of sound, and oh my can you fly.
That man is a god damned genius and beacon for us all to strive. ohh yeah, almost forgot. He knows some guitar stuff...
Dang that is a great setup! I wish I had the room for a permanent installation instead of stowable boards...
I think it's mindblowing that a unit like a helix or a quad cortex can replace everything in this setup (maybe not perfectly but at least 90%).
In financial terms, this means 1-2000 bucks vs 100.000+ bucks
Save on the workflow and setup, but it's never as inspiring as when you need to hit anything dynamic especially when Tim digs in, there's still the rawness and direct feedback that models miss out IMO.
@Xenozenomusic that thing about digging in not being as responsive on modellers is simply not true. Not on the recent quality stuff anyway (helix, keeper, axefx etc).
@@SuperPol1981 I have a Helix, it's still not as inspiring as my Mark V:25. If i connect the Helix to a real FRFR cab it gets closer, but still not physically inspiring, my opinion anyway, i'm still resigned to using the Helix for live workflow.
That was very very cool. I could watched about 3 how of that
Eggcelent! Amps amps and more amps!
Awesome! Love this stuff! Im a gear nerd😂
I just want to know how Tim gets in that little spot. Does he have to just take a long run and jump in there or is there a trap door on the floor there where he comes up from a basement? :)
😊
I think he just lives in there 😂
Like Neil Peart getting in his drum kit
Sorry if I missed this but how does Tim have his cabs wired from his makeshift studio? Long speaker cable runs or….??
What „better“ guests do you want to bring exactly? You already got them all…
Ok bro I’ll subscribe to all your channels bro. Rochester bro. Bro.
Wish we could have seen what Tim is referencing throughout.
Ergonomically, he probably leans forward because the middle of his monitor should be at eye level. He'd probably stop leaning over near as much if he raised his monitors height to essentially sit where the top of his monitor is now.
0:50 better guests than Tim Pierce? That’s cold.
Tim, so legend.
Tim Pierce. Guitarist and electronics engineer.
The line mixer makes me wonder if he's done anything to make sure the mics are synced to be precisely the same distance from the speakers. Sound travels over 7mm during one sample at 48k. It might not seem like much be start shifting two identical tracks by single samples. It gets weird fast.
One of the greatest living musician
When Tim switched to the Park, I thought he was gonna start playing 'Fire Woman' from The Cult! LOL!
One thing I'm dying to ask is if he monitors via a round trip through protools, and does he worry about latency?
Pretty sure he's not monitoring thru his DAW. Latency can really kill the vibe. (No matter how low).
Latency is the reason why I only play analog and don’t record. I have no interest in turning my signal to 1’s and 0’s
I'm subscribed
Aw, man. For a second I thought Tim Pool was going to break it down. 😂
Enjoyed the Beth Hart Zeppelin session with Tim.
Not sure why Tim hasn't had a compensated nut installed on his Les Paul, that would take care of the G string & if done right would help the D string as well
even diesel amps have glow plugs!?
You guys need to interview Tory Slusher ....seriously
What does he use for speaker monitoring
His studio monitors? Those look like Genelecs I think.
This guy looks just like the other one on the main channel
@@user-ve8he3om5q humour
@@user-ve8he3om5qnegativity definitely is your trait man.
Hey there's room for a guitar boat above the monitor.
One day they will build a multi-generation-starship and one small recreation room will be for guitarists - and it will be built just like this ; )
Seems like a stand up desk would be better?
MY RIG: A guitar...with a cable...leading to an amp. ☹
MY RIG: a drum kit
MY RIG: Guitar into Kemper. Wireless. Love it. :-D
whats with the video quality
Super nerds! 🤘🏼🤓
I'm waiting for the Rick and Tim sleepover special where they prank call Mr. Copyright, Don Henley and then get sleepover surprise special guest Phil X who has one slipper because two deadens his sound.
Still not sure if my comments are being allowed on your channels Rick…(anyone can confirm) 👍🏻
Who’s there?? Who said that?? Must’ve been the wind
Yes you can comment 😊
Not subscribed!? That just changed!
He should upgrade those monitors, both the studio monitors and display monitors. They are tiny!
87% wow they’re missing out bro 🥁🎸🎶
Where's Pat?
Makes my head hurt. Thankfully I just play drums.
Been seeing people
Talk alot about the non subscribers. I guarantee if UA-cam didn’t force you to create a gmail account numbers would be A LOT BETTER. Nobody wants an email just to play on UA-cam
I'm with you there and I really wish enough great creators and other people would switch to Rumble to rival youtube and leave 'em in the dust.
What's the matter? UA-cam belongs to Google. If you don't wanna use the gmail account. Don't use it
@@TinoSchulz1990 You have answered your own question. Well done. There are bits within it that may help one understand, given that one could possibly remain objective and willing to see what lies beneath.
Just use a Helix boomer (relax I’m joking) but I do have a Helix. Tube amps too but the Helix is awesome. Tim has a great channel and he’s an incredible player.
Hey Rick, Ive been hearing you say people think they are subscribed but aren't so we should check. I knew I subscribed but I checked anyways and I wasn't subscribed. Now I just checked again 2 weeks later and once again it says Im not subscribed. Someone is screwing you dude
Could be that you are still subscribed but that your browser has simply logged you out of UA-cam (entirely) and you are then seeing everything on UA-cam as if you were a new user. Alternatively if you work using different accounts ...
I thought about that but Im still in my accounts algorithm. You know I think it's happening only when I watch on my TV so it's probably a glitch in the TV's app platform or something.
Tens of thousands of dollars.
the G in Gibson is for , the G string will not stay intune.
I worry that Tim is trapped in his equipment console area and is unable to get out. Maybe there is some sort of trap door for him to escape.
3:39 Yeah Gibson's tuning is awful. It's why I'll never get another one.
Is it a new era version of the Brazilian flag 🇧🇷 on the wall?!
Rick, have you considered interviewing Alan Mearns?
I am guessing that this guy is not married.
Legend Tim is hero to all of us. He's amazing.
🤯🤯🤯 - how the heck does he keep track of all those interfaces and equipment??? 2 equipment nerds (musical geniuses) got together and….. 😂
does this guy have any chops at all
So is this comedy? If so…..
More than you'll ever know.
Give me a break …Can anyone make music at home anymore without thousands of dollars of computers/ software …? Disclaimer..I’m old school..and analog 😊🎸
Of course anyone can make music with a single amp and guitar. Tim is a professional session musician. He has equipment that allows him to produce for any situation with no downtime. Turn a dial, swap a patch cable, totally different sound, exaclty what is asked for. He now has the required sound and can let his playing shine through.
I don’t need all that stuff ‘cuz I’m just a guy having fun at home with guitars and keyboards.
Tim, OTOH, is a pro. This is how he makes his living. Spend money to *make* money.
@@veryDeadGaming Err…So it takes $500 K to do that ?!
Some understand how money
Works and some question why other people spend money.
@@edpetrikk2027 you don't just dump 500k at once, you build this up over years of experience finding out what works and what doesn't, and sometimes shit changes all the time for the fun of it. And yes, speaking from studio experience you do spend money to make more money.
Please, don’t break down your gear!
Boomer bend bat cave
Haha!
i'm subbed...been su7bbed for years now on both channels.
