Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 жов 2024
- Our host, Prez, is Jamaican so he's no stranger to salt fish, which is basically cod that has been preserved in salt. On this episode of 5 Buck Lunch, we're making Prez a very happy man as he hunts down the best salt fish in the city and shows us why it has become a staple in Jamaican breakfasts.

I love that they show him finishing and enjoying every bite till the plate empty, like he isn’t just here to taste n move on, he here for a meal and an experience. And I mess with that.
I love this
Salt fish and bake!! Mmmmm
This is a legitimate meal for $5 that looks amazing. Plenty of food, healthy, and he cooked it to order? That's quite the steal.
More yard food 4real... Up up up ☝
After watching some of his videos and reading the comments, I can't help but to think that if he was a white woman picking these spots he wouldn't get as much haters, smdh
OML My dude did not just say this... He did not..."Ayo Waa guan" 3:58
Whoever keeps uploading these videos in 360p needs to be slapped.
Wa Gwan. I need to go home. I miss my moms ackee and saltfish with some fried dumplings and plantains 🇯🇲🇯🇲
"The jerky of fish." That's pretty close to describe salted fish. *Golf Clap*
Ground provisions because it’s from the ground (I’m Jamaican btw).
WOW! That's a lot of food for $5 and some change. Will definitely check out ROWE's. Jamacian food is so awesome!
"GROUND PROVISIONS" means staple vegetables grown in the earth/GROUND. Guyanese food next 🇬🇾 rep 592
they put the pepper and olives together to look look ackee it seems. smart
Who makes the saltfish sandwiches?! Their bake was soooo good and big!
prez you have to do Guyanese food... This is a great video
Who green lit this video? And thought to themselves yeah uploading a video in 2018 with a resolution of 360p is okay.
Rihanna fish even though she's Bajan not Jamaican lol but that fine... Rihanna fish just sounds explicit
I know this dude gotta be lying he likes everything
For the record even the small portion of what he ordered at this restaurant is $8.00 .........
Dang I thought Ackee was poisonous and illegal in the US.
No way do you get all that for just $5. Every j-restaurant I've been to has ackee and saltfish going for at least 7 dollars. Also that one guy on the train that was talking about rasta pasta definitely goes to Jamaican Flavors for his food lol
Couldve gotten a bake and salt fish also that is A1
Bajan food next prez
Is there an actual episode that is under $5? tip is never factored. Why not just call it: under $8.
so fake.
I only watch the Video cuz the vlog and train
Rihanna fish?! He reachinnnnn’
But I will be hitting up Rowe’s
(Adventure Time hands)
An amazing deal for $5, but the video quality is awful.
No way did he call them green bananas ☹
Try shawarma for 5 bucks
Hdh Hdh
He has done that on another video
What’s up with this trash quality
Why is OJ pretending to be Jamaican?
salted cod, thats a Portuguese thang.....
ceaser williams no it multicultural you entitled fuck.
Every Caribbean island have their own version. This is a very common Caribbean thing. So if the Portuguese have their own It be the "European version." It's like when every other countries have their own version of "Curry."
No biggie
Nana Dan na, they originally did it 1st...and then....
Actually it's a canadian thing. We used to trade salt fish from newfoundland for rum.
I need to move to NY.
You're not wrong.
