other than proper positioning, does changing speed of lathe up or down eliminate chatter marks better generally speaking? thanks for good tutorial.

I used the same scraper you used in this demonstration, but I don't understand the negative bevel scraper and when that is used? Never mind it's all explained later on...

A decent lathe light would make a huge difference
