- Hi Momo’s! I’ve missed chatting with you all so I thought I’d drop a quick little update video for you guys. I’m hanging in there! Lots of signs that my body is close to labor. But still not quite there. Praise God for His strength and peace! Love you all sooo much! I can’t wait for you to meet little man! 🥹🫶🏼🙏🏼

How long can you go before labor is medically induced?
Did you know in France, full-term is classified as 41 weeks? Because so many women go past 40 weeks. It’s just an arbitrary date. Also boys tend to be on the later side.
Also I woke up on the morning my son was born not in labor either, and yet we met him later that evening! The pre-labor stuff does a lot of work for your body that the actual labor might go quick. You got this!!
I understand that it’s very hard waiting those last couple week! I also went past my due date! I think my daughter was a week late. I had to be induced because I started to get preeclampsia! Make sure your midwife is checking your blood pressure to ensure it stays in range. Love you!!!
I found that before I had my children, i slept badly, one morning at 2 am I suddenly thought, "I wonder if this is not a way to prepare me to wake up for feeds after baby arrives" God prepares us so well.
God works in mysterious ways! My pregnancy was horrible, I was sick all 9 months, and actually lost weight! I couldn’t keep any food down, even water came back up! When it came time to give birth to my beautiful, healthy daughter, the Lord blessed me with a fast and easy birth! Well, as easy as one can have for a first birthing experience! I started having light cramping on a Sunday morning, it progressively got stronger though out the day! I finally went to the birthing center around 7:30pm, and she was born early that morning at 2:18am on her due date! I honestly believe God gave me a break from a long and drawn out labor, because I had already suffered 9 months of vomiting and weight loss!

When my niece was born, I first laid eyes on her as she was being cradled in her mother... My big sister's arms, and I kid you not I was left speechless. She witnessed the look in my eyes and the silence, which lasted for a few long minutes. No words were spoken, and nothing needed to be said. The joyful tears that came down my eyes were more than enough for her. The only other moment that was similar to what I experienced then, was my last meeting with my Grandmother before her passing. Despite not knowing her well, I still shed those tears. With my niece though, I'll never forget it.

Do you have a journal? Perhaps journalling letters to Luca will help. My son was late as well but he was born on the exact day God designed and I wouldn't have it any other way 🤗 Praying for each of you!!

I can’t help thinking that all the pre-labor might be doing more work to progress your body than you can tell ... thus leading you into a faster, easier actual labor! 🙏🥳💙

I had my sons at around 38weeks and a few days so when my daughter was 5 days “over due,” I was super ready to be done!
God is so faithful and He will sustain you. 🙌🏼
With my daughter to try and induce labor I tried the breast pump method and clary sage oil. I made a video on it if you are curious. ❤

I was 41 and 4 w/my first and 42 and 3 w/my second 🥰 both babies came right when they were ready as I trusted God, my body, and my baby. You got this! God’s beautiful perfect design for your body is so intelligent. 💕

I’m so excited for y’all to have the baby! It’s a hard adjustment in the beginning, but such a blessing and sooooo worth it. ❤😊 I went a week over with mine too, and I was so ready to just to sleep on my stomach again 😂

Yes you’re at the sweet spot. I feel like I was so angsty the past few weeks of pregnancy, but once I finally gave up being it’s today, then I had my babies😆 I had my babies a week late and I had contractions the last few weeks leading up to labor. As uncomfortable as it is, I’ve heard the more Braxton hicks and contractions you have before you go into labor, the faster your birth. My first was 7 hours and my second was 6.

ALL of your prep for Luca & your amazing attitude DEFINITELY helps… already now as it will later & throughout! (That said,… Luca! WHAT are you doing?!! Come on!!!) Hooray for the exercise ball (& any ‘helps’) as it is oh so good for you! Hooray for your upcoming massage! It is literally relief hearing when you have some relief! I surely understand how you miss the absolutely adorable little Squishy! 😭 At the same time, I’m glad that you & Paul prepped & planned as you did.😉 It’s called wisdom, I believe!

Oh my goodness, when the video first started, it looked (to me) like you were not pregnant (just couldn't see the bump at first) and I was like "she had the baby!!!!" Lol. Praying for a quick and safe delivery!!
My last baby came at 41+3 weeks, but when it did finally happen, it was way less painful than my induction with my 1st baby. Waiting to go into labor naturally is so worth it in my opinion (within reason!)
Right there with you, mama! 39 + 4 and was feeling so discouraged with everyone's comments and feeling like my body is doing something wrong. After some time with the lord and listening to a podcast episode (check out The Doctor Mom podcast's new episode about Elana's birth story), I am feeling so much more at peace with my pregnancy journey and the fact that my sweet girl will be born at the perfect time. Due dates are dumb!

Maybe you’ve already been doing this, I know I was doing all the things to go into labor but if you haven’t… try the Miles Circuit! It’s a great way to get baby to descend further into the pelvis and in the proper position for a efficient delivery! Praying for peace and a safe and beautiful birth for you and little Luca! 🤍

I had my OB appointment ( when I was 3 days late), he said I wasn't going soon and made an appointment for induction for 2 weeks later. That same night my water broke. 🤣 It happens when it happens, but that last couple weeks are so annoying when you just want that baby OUT 🤣
I’ve heard 42 weeks is common too. I was induced my last pregnancy because of health risk… it’s much more pleasant to go naturally.
i was induced too... so painful and uncomfortable, compared to the natural progression, but God is good and He has a plan!
same here, my first came 2 weeks late, was planned to be induced but then he came lol. but my 2nd and last had to be induced due to health issues and that was not a fun process
I'm still hoping it will be tomorrow so we can share a birthday!
P.S. Assuming you know about ‘the comb’ distraction for labor. ~Not sure about it. Just recently heard about it.

Ask the doctor to guide you through pushing. They are able to do that so you don't tear at all! It is possible
i don't know why but the last few days I have been feeling like the ultrasound could be wrong and you are having a girl, because that happened to my brother and his ex-wife. They were told they were having a boy and got a bunch of baby boy stuff and ended up having my niece. Maybe little Luca will be little Lucille!
im trying not to give you inducing advice cause you def. didnt ask... but just know I want to. hahaha. You look so happy! GO MAMMA!
I slept on a chaise because I couldn't sleep laying down the last few weeks of pregnancy.

I got my own life and problems to worry about I can’t stop what I’m doing to worry about a stranger and their husband and their lives…I gotta worry about my own life and family.
Pregnancy is a personal family matter not a world wide matter.
