You will want to wear some type of gloves (rubber, latex, etc) when using Castrol Super Clean straight and scrubbing in it. It DOES take grease off very well! It will also give you skin to peel off for a few days too!
I could see the black dripping off the hoses and green on your vacuum diagram as the water ran down. If it is Purple Power it's caustic like sodium and potassium hydroxide and will eat away just about anything. That's why it burns and itches when it gets on your skin. I would recommend half and half with water. Not only will it still clean but it will reduce the chemical oxidation of the surfaces by half. If I was using a brush like you I might even go 1/3rd or 1/4th. Good tip on the Armor All. It will also crack a dash surface too... if you don't keep applying it that is. I've heard that WD-40 is a great engine spiffer-upper. I tried it once many years ago but I don't recall having any results near what you had with that stuff.
Thanks for that, nonstandardbleepingguy.. I need to clean the engine on a Mustang soon and was debating what to try this time. Simple Green works, but like you said, dulls almost everything.
I prefer to coat my engine with tar. I really like the deep black look it gives. It does wonders to any lose connections and exposed metal. Try it out peeps!
Uhh...when you said shower I thought for half a second...yeah, well it does look like it's the way to go for the engine compartment and tires. I'll have to check it out on my next Wally World trip. Thanks for sharing!!
Question for you, why? A stock 4.0 will only ask for about ~260 CFM at peak VE. The stock air intake is capable of flowing 450 CFM. Your pissing in a fan on high speed if you buy a "Cold air intake".
might be a dumb question but for washing the motor like that 28th the hose how much water can you actually apart into the engine bay until it starts messing up electical components .
great advice, gonna have to give it a try. hopefully it won't attract dust like the armor all does down here. anyone know where I can get the jeep center caps for the wheels. just painted my wheels silver and now the centers look dingy.
Thank you iv bin looking for a way to clean my engine with out using the power wash yeah oops at least I didnt kill any sensors. Im all for anything that will give the rubber a longer life.
This is a nice product and not to discuss it but I have always used WD40, yes WD40. I put on a latex glove and then over that I put an old white sock over my hand get it wet with WD40 and wipe everything. works great
Armor all is not good for rubber yes it makes it shiny and look nice for a short while but it dries the rubber out and will make it crack. I deal with tires all day at work and tires that have armor all on them last half as long as tires without. They rot and start cracking. I'd rather have my tires covered in mud and last 5 years then shiny and last 2 years tops.
He hosts a board game show on a UA-cam channel called Geek and Sundry. I think it's called Table Top? They play a new board game with guests on the show to show different board games and how they're played. It's pretty good.
That is not dirty. Dirty is when you have to use kerosene or diesel for hours. Then follow up with detergent and a wet shop vac. Then repeat twice more. Probably would have been better to pull the engine and dunk it it a tank of grease remover.
I use it in a bug sprayer to pressurize it it foams and cleans better love that stuff cleans drive ways really well

I would add disconnecting battery and taking it out helps and using a verity of scub brushes some little ones to get to hard to reach area
Have you used your hose-down method on distributor based ignitions yet?

I've heard armor all is alcohol based. Dries out plastics and rubber.
I wasn't asking a question, I was stating what I've heard. I don't use armor all, I use Lucas oil detailing products..
my dash turns on off when driving how can I fix
