He could have landed in the water. Less fuel, less fire. I'm no pilot but just a common sense. From now own pay attention when the plane take off and land. They tell us about that vest to blow and pull in case there's water. This doesn't apply to this. It's a suicide landing and hitting that wall. I was just in that airport a few days ago and here's my premonition. I kept looking at the gate that says South Korean Air to Bangkok Thailand. Unbelievable and here it is.
It can stop, but the pilot said the hydraulics failed so he couldn't deploy air brakes and flaps which means you're going down the runway at full speed.
The landing gear was not deployed! It made a belly landing without dumping fuel and that would have been necessary since those aircraft hold an ungodly amount.
Genuine question, if they knew the landing gears were failing why not land in water slowly or a huge grass field somewhere given there’s enough fuel? It seems like the pilot was just rushing to land the plane before there was any sort of concrete plan. May God provide peace and comfort to all those affected 🙏🏻
The pilots managed to touch down the plane so well without landing gear only to have it run into a concrete wall! 😔 Wonder why the pilots never considered a water landing when they know there's a landing gear issue.
Few days before it was Kazak airline and now the Korea one. I mean seriously we are living in 21st century with the most advanced technology and skilled pilots idk what's the reason behind such accidents but it's horrible 😞
It seems that the aircraft's speed was unusually high, and it should have stopped if the engine was off, the spoilers were armed along with the friction of the ground. Definitely, something else was wrong here....
It’s the aircraft failure plus the panic and ultimately the wall. I think nothing could have stopped this accident. Just too many unfortunate events after another. I hope airports would accommodate emergency landing on both ends of the runway in case of this happening again. The wall was the ultimate disaster
OMG! Jeju Airlines B737 Jetliner crashed into barriers upon landing from Thailand to South Korea's Muan Airport due to landing gears failure ... 🙏 Deepest condolences to the families & friends of the departed ... 🙏🕯🌼🌿
I assume the pilots did what they could with what they were dealing with (no one knows all details yet), but there shouldn't be ILS antennae surrounded by a wall of concrete at the end of any runway. Thats the reason everyone is dead in this situation.
The airline has been under suspicion for poor maintenance and this aircraft was delayed for two hours two days ago due to engine failure. This may have had something to do with it. But if it hadn't been for the concrete hill, the disaster that killed 179 people would not have happened. 😢
@mirisqria6545 then why tf put a huge gaping wall at the entrance of the runway and the pilot wasn't supposed to be that low if that's the runway entrance Either way they got birdstriked on the landing gear and should've used squawk code 7700
Spreading a foam path takes a lot of time. The foam can also cause uncontrolled sliding off the landing strip and increases the stopping distance. For this reasons, the procedure is only used in very rare cases, if at all.
I can’t believe two people survived that. It didn’t look like the power was shut down. Like they were trying to go around again. No landing gear, no flaps? The nose was way too high. It should have been grinding on the runway to create more friction. That pilot was trying to do a second go around with damaged engines. He killed them all.
Thrust reversers are fully deployed. His speed brakes and flaps aren't extended, which explains the high speed. That combined with no brakes is the issue. Thrust reversers only do so much
This is so eerie. The seconds before... Poor people, knowing they would die. This is hard to watch. May they rest in peace and may their loved ones be comforted.
If u read any of the articles there was a failure with the aircraft which clearly it was a hydraulic failure causing the gear not extend resulting in a belly landing and the aircraft not slowing down at all making them hit an airport fence causing the huge fireball
@@TKLleaks Hydraulic failure is not an excuse for landing gear failure. All landing gears on commercial airliners comes with redundancy, using gravity to allow the landing gear to fall into place without the use of hydraulics.
@ well then idk what happened but clearly the landing gear didn’t extend so there is either something really wrong with the gear for it not to extend at all or the pilots didn’t follow any of the procedures in case of a landing gear failure

My deepest condolences 😭
My condolences to all families and friends of those deceased.Rest in peace those who died in the crash
Guy behind the camera doesn’t even sound shocked 🤔🤔🤔
he’s probably just stunned, processing what he’s seeing
Too much friction on the ground while landing😢😢😢 Prayers 🙏 🙏 🙏
My deepest condolences. May God comforts the victims' families.
The pilots managed to touch down the plane so well without landing gear only to have it run into a concrete wall! 😔
Wonder why the pilots never considered a water landing when they know there's a landing gear issue.
Condolences to the victims families. Sending prayers.
They couldn’t have directed the plane to an airport with a longer runway?
The runway was long enough something obviously went wrong on attempt
Seems like the plane came in wayy too fast… maybe other issues other than landing gear?
Muan has a 9200 ft runway. Military length.
it was second attempt which indicates some struggles. may could've go around again but seems ran out of options and had to land.
Yet another pilot error, humans are not to be trusted.
Might be
It’s the aircraft failure plus the panic and ultimately the wall. I think nothing could have stopped this accident. Just too many unfortunate events after another. I hope airports would accommodate emergency landing on both ends of the runway in case of this happening again. The wall was the ultimate disaster
This is just horrible. To think that they landed and almost all survived if it was not for that explosion.
Awful to hear the actual loud “THUD” as the belly of the plane hits the tarmac. Deepest condolences to the families. 😢
Deepest condolences to the family of the victims
Bad decision by the pilot… really makes me mad…
What idiot put up that barrier at the end of a runway?
Ask yourself what behind those walls. It could be roads , houses etc.....
that is the opposite side of the runway
@@nahanng7791 But it's not. Did you even look at a map before babbling?
@geonerd yes i did. Look on google
That's the worst aircraft crash footage I've ever seen. You can literally see the people flying out
My condolences, my heart just couldn’t stop pounding!!!
God bless those who died and their families.
This was absolutely tragic.
"God" clearly took the day off. There will be no blessings.
OMG! Jeju Airlines B737 Jetliner crashed into barriers upon landing from Thailand to South Korea's Muan Airport due to landing gears failure ... 🙏 Deepest condolences to the families & friends of the departed ... 🙏🕯🌼🌿
But they still got a handle to open it manuel if they cannot open it with the button. There is something suss about this
@pelinyilmaz8101something is wrong with whole situation
I assume the pilots did what they could with what they were dealing with (no one knows all details yet), but there shouldn't be ILS antennae surrounded by a wall of concrete at the end of any runway. Thats the reason everyone is dead in this situation.
My deepest condolences from Germany 😥❤
The airline has been under suspicion for poor maintenance and this aircraft was delayed for two hours two days ago due to engine failure. This may have had something to do with it. But if it hadn't been for the concrete hill, the disaster that killed 179 people would not have happened. 😢
Rest in Peace, all who are no more 😭😢
Pilots fault OR ATC tower. No if or but. Landing gear failure doesn't have to result into this. Period. RIP...
What the hell is the wall doing there
There is a road on the other side and then right after the road is the ocean
@ very weird
@@djibicissethere is a reason, if there is no wall then people and just walk through the airport
@ that is a short runway for emergency landing
@@djibicisse for landing normally it’s at a normal distance, it seems like something went wrong with this plane.
Horrifying to see this..
Imagine the people inside and then boom...
RIP 😢
I don't think that two flyers who managed to survive in this disaster will fly here after in their entire life.
Definitely not. 😢
Why is there a concrete fence at the end of the runway? This endangers planes when they descend on the runway in an emergency.
Why tf is there a wall at the end of the runway
that is the barrier between civil villages
@하비에르-x2u why tf is there civilian villages near an airport runway
that is not end, That wall place on entrance of runway.
plane tries landing from opposite direction. maybe some trouble...
@@하비에르-x2u
That airport is close to north Korea.
@mirisqria6545 then why tf put a huge gaping wall at the entrance of the runway and the pilot wasn't supposed to be that low if that's the runway entrance
Either way they got birdstriked on the landing gear and should've used squawk code 7700
Rest in peace to all of those who died. 😰
Was there a fuel dump? Why not go the opposite direction? Why landing flaps and air brakes not deployed? Why no foam on runway?
I believe 737 does not have the ability to fuel dump.
Spreading a foam path takes a lot of time. The foam can also cause uncontrolled sliding off the landing strip and increases the stopping distance. For this reasons, the procedure is only used in very rare cases, if at all.
From what I've read, the 737 doesn't have fuel dumping capability.
Horrible. u can hear the engines turning off after the crash😭😭😭😭
Oh no. That was horrific pray for all those on board
My fear in plane just went up another level. Rip to those lost their lives 🙏🙏🙏
I can’t believe two people survived that. It didn’t look like the power was shut down. Like they were trying to go around again. No landing gear, no flaps? The nose was way too high. It should have been grinding on the runway to create more friction. That pilot was trying to do a second go around with damaged engines. He killed them all.
No flaps down, don't know what's going on pilots mind. To Go Around also flaps needed approx 50% down.
@ POH says 40 degrees of flaps, that’s the max flap setting, req for a belly landing. Because you need to get it slow, no brakes.
Did the plane burn out its fuel before landing? It could have made the fire much smaller should it have been an explosion
dont think they couldve cause the birdstrike/ending failure happened during final. Also the explosion
Short landing pilots did not give his airplane a good manuever long landing for a freeway landings😭
did he even try to that thing with the engines to slow it down, I ask because that plane was moving very fast
Thrust reversers are fully deployed. His speed brakes and flaps aren't extended, which explains the high speed. That combined with no brakes is the issue. Thrust reversers only do so much
hydraulics/landing gear failure along with engine failure
Who is this guy and why was he taking video of this airplane at this exact moment ?
Aviation geek? Airport employee? Jsut a random tourist ?
he has right to take video bruh
Wow! So sorry for everyone who’s affected by this. Looks like out of a horror movie
😢 really disheartening. Condolences to all the families who lost their loveones in this devastating tragedy 😢
WOW My Prayers 🙏🙏🙏 for those who are in the airplane 🛫 And God keep them alive 🙏 and they can be reunited with their love one's!!!
This is so eerie. The seconds before... Poor people, knowing they would die. This is hard to watch. May they rest in peace and may their loved ones be comforted.
No ARFF prior to arrival?
Was this the only landing option?😓😢
Remember, if you don’t know how to fly a plane don’t comment on how to do it correctly 👍
I can’t imagine the amount of screaming inside the plane those poor people realising they are seconds away from death. Life is so short seriously.
I just saw a panel of the fuselage fly into the air...
cant imagine the pain the family and loved ones of these passengers arw going through. rip🙏
Kenapa tidak di arahkan ke bandara yang lebih panjang atau yang ujung bandara terdapat air
Jauh mungkin, denger2 itu percobaan landing kedua
Very sad. Knowing that you are dying in plane crash. Painful. May your soul rest in peace
2 out of the 181 survived
😮😢RIP to the 179 deceased victims.
Any additional word failed me.
Omg, 😮 only 2 survive?
yea, i heard that the 2 sat at the rear of the plane
@@stellatan9485yes they said when the plane hit the wall people where flying out of their seat. The wall made everything worse!
The worst day to end the year..
No landing gear.
