This is a great cleaning job. The rug looks to be a synthetic fiber, does not look like wool rug, which probably means this rug is less than 30 years old. Either that, or the fringe was repaired??

That is quite possibly the most beautiful magic carpet transformation I’ve ever seen. That Persian was old, hand knotted, hand trimmed and made from natural dyes… what a beautiful work of art! Thank you for restoring it to its natural spender..

We cleaned a kitchen carpet in a rent house with a Rug Doctor. We had no clue what color it was. Thought it was brown based. It was green, yellow, and cream 😮. That was very satisfying, like this.

I don't care if this is staged for entertainment, it's working for me. I clean our carpets once a year and they are between half and a quarter this size and let me tell you, this man has strength! A dry carpet is heavy and cumbersome enough, but a wet one half that size I can barely lift. Very satisfying to watch. I personally enjoy the raking the water out the most.

This was unbelievable!!! What hard work these guys put into restoring these beautiful pieces! I didn’t think the dirt was ever going to stop coming! 😩 So satisfying seeing the amazing result!

My friend saw a rug with the trash in front of a multi-million dollar house in the pouring rain picked it up and at home hosed it down to make su⁷😮❤😮e no holes were in it. Took it to rug clean he quotes her $400 to clean it, she pays, he tells her to come back 2 weeks to pick up. Four days later he calls back to ask if he can buy it for $2,000? She says no, sorry. She has a buyer for $4500 (she didn't)! Guy offered $4501 and a refund to her card for the $400 she paid. She picked up cash, was still laughing over me saying she picked up a dirty rain soaked worthless rug. Apparently she saw add on Craigslist months later asking $+5k for it. God only knows its true worth...

Yes, when I got mine out of the shed it literally fell apart in my hands all the edging went first then the stitches in the middle just snapped, maybe because it was in a hot shed and the glue😮melted? I loved that carpet got it for my 16th but went from a4bdrm to a 2 and didn't have the space to use it 😢

OMG! When you first brought in the "brown" rug, I thought, "That'll look nice & fluffy when they're done with it." But then all the mud & the muck you took out of that rug just astounded me! There were times I thought you'd never get it all out! But to see that beautiful red flowered rug at the end....oh, my heart just soared. You guys are truly miracle workers! 1. Grade your floor 1 degree (more) at least - how much dirty water did you allow to flow right back under and onto the rug while one guy has a hose and the other has the blue machine?
2. Use the wooden squeegee (method) from the end at the beginning.
3. Prop the rugs up on a rack of sorts so the dirty water drains below and the rug doesn’t soak it up underneath.
4. Rinse. Repeat.
5. Enjoy the $1,000’s in savings on your water bill!

No it was just bleeding the rug carpet dye, as direct powder detergent use is too strong for it, its supposed to be diluted with water before application !!!!
My arms are hurting just watching him. I wouldn't be able to move after this kind of job.

The carpets have been neglected but at least that kept them out of sun…which helps save the colors. The light blue color is exquisite. That is so lovely…a work of art and many, many hours!

Наш ковёр был примерно в таком же состоянии после пожара. Он был весь чёрный и в саже, рисунка не было видно вообще.

Daca acesta este modul tau de spalare esti foarte in urma.....ma indoiesc daca tu speli 100 de covoare zilnic cel mult 8 ore atat cat lucrez eu si echipa mea suntem 6 oameni si spalam anual 100 000,fac acest lucru de 25 de ani

Asa cum zice in comentariu, primeste peste 100 de covoare zilnic, insa doar cate unul arata asa de rau. Oamenilor le place sa vada cum se restaureaza anumite obiecte, exista un anumit grad de satisfactie sa vezi cum se trece de la ceva atat de urat si murdar, la ceva ce nu mai seamana deloc cu ce era initial. Urmaresc online si alti oameni care restaureaza fie obiecte vechi, papusi, cutite ruginite etc. Deci probabil restul covoarelor sunt spalate altfel, folosind masinarii, asta e doar pentru youtube, cele murdare.

The problem with this approach is the rug is always bathing in its own juices. It’s unavoidable as you’re using scrubbers but you need to lift it and hose it off while hanging during the cleaning process. Let gravity work WITH you and you’ll use far less water.
The same thing occurred to me but I am sure that would damage the rug. Perhaps laying it on a fine screen just above the floor would allow the water and dirt to get away more quickly. Great job guys.
@@suzanneburrows1118 Would it? I don’t have enough experience with rugs but supporting its waterlogged weight is probably doable if done strategically. I just can’t help but notice how much water needs to be used to, in essence, wash away grit and mud that’s already been washed away several times, only to resettle on and within the fibers further down stream.
I do believe the dirty water gets filtered and reused. Imagine thousands of liters of water going to waste every day.
Yeah it was hard not to cringe at the amount of water being used just every time they washed the building’s floor, let alone the carpet.
Sadly these guys are not Spiderman and can't just climb up and down walls to wash it, and depending on the condition many rugs probably can't be hung. If the water is expensive then they almost certainly filter it if it's cheap it came from a river.

And you stated that the cost of cleaning would buy you 10 new rugs of this. Well, good luck finding this type of (KASHAN) Persian hand made that will last life long and would cost 100 thousand dollars give and take. These kind of rugs are considered antiques now a days.
First of all…I’d never pay a $100,000.00 for a carpet because that is HUGE waste of money, but watching these gentlemen patiently restore such a beautiful fine piece of artwork, is simply amazing! Well done!!

It's very difficult to understand why some people do what they do, but some might have sentimental reasons and are willing to pay amounts that far exceed the replacement value of the carpet for the very same reasons.

I could not help thinking someone should weigh this carpet before they start and then again when the rug is finished to see how many pounds of dirt they took out 😮 I watch these fairly often and this was by far the most astonishing result I’ve seen no way when they brought this one in that you could have guessed all that beauty and craftsmanship would be hiding under all that dirt !! Well, we have some rugs like this in my family home. When a rug gets dirty it goes to the basement or garage and my mom buys a new one. My dad uses the old rugs on the floors there, covering the dirty floor underneath and replaces them when my mom changes another carpet in the house,discarding the dirty ones. I was also taking some of the used house carpets in my hideout when I was a kid.
I can imagine someone taking the rugs to clean. It would be a waste of money now given how cheap new carpets are but if a dirty carpet was found in an old person house it would be worth cleaning because antique carpets can reach high prices.
