I'm afraid to go to sleep. I get I'm very young (16) and a heart attack would be highly improbable but if it is then I'm extremely worried about what would happen if I went to sleep. I've been up all night, its now 7am. I don't really have a way to see the doctor right now. I don't feel any pain but I just feel uneasiness around my chest and a shortness of breath, and indigestion as well. I'm probably overreacting but I can't help but worry. I think I also tend to stress a lot so says my father and my gray hairs if there's even a correlation between stress and gray hairs.
I had open heart surgery at 15 to fix a rare birth defect. See your doctor bro. Speaking from the perspective of a healthy 15 year old who had open heart, and is now 28 living happily. If my heart problem wasn’t caught I’d of died between then and now… it would have never of been found had I not consulted my doctor on my symptoms back then. Take care of yourself.
I’m skinny (always have been) 66 year old male. Angina equivalents symptoms ?: • Perhaps a couple of times a year: Suddenly get heart burn in chest (not indigestion), running up the left side of the neck. Mostly when relaxing and in bed but sometimes when watching TV. Only lasts about 5 minutes. • At about a dozen times a year, I wake up with strong tingling (pins and needles) of the tongue, lips and in neck (left of the trachea). Similar feeling to pins and needles when an arm has fallen asleep. Only lasts about 5 minutes. Often seems to be caused when I lay on my stomach and pillow pressure on my neck. Possibly a restriction of blood flow in the neck. • Still get occasional symptoms at night in bed of something wrong as if heart beating very faintly or maybe fibrillating?. Cannot detect any beat at my wrist but if I listen carefully sometimes I can hear that my heart is still beating. • Regularly have a feeling of pressure inside left side of head behind ear drum and around that area and an annoying feeling down left side of neck (where the jugular vein runs). Feels like something wants to burst behind my ear. Keeping me awake for many hours most nights due to discomfort. The discomfort is there most of the time, but not so noticeable when I am awake and vertical and busy. Pressure worst when I am lying with my head on its right side. Slight relief when I lay on my left side (less pressure). Doctor seems to think its a sinus issue? • However: No nausea, no sweating, no nausea, no shortness of breath. Doctor does not seem too concerned. Maybe I'm worrying too much? Note: I have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, discovered after a stroke 6 years ago. On slow release aspirin and a statin daily.
Thank you!!! Dr. Shahnawaz. Started having upper back pain, a bit to the right shoulder blade. I freaked out woke up my wife, asked her to keep an eye on me as I searched the reason for pain on my upper back. I must've Googled 40 TO 60 searches with different variation to do with my pain and heart attack, I did not find anything helpful, so I came to UA-cam after 6 videos I saw this as a "Recommended video" list. I, thank the Almighty clicked on it and THANK YOU!! YOU HAVE no idea, how well the information provided on this video matched with what I was looking for.
Heart attack does not feel that bad. In my case mild throat pain on exercise. Exercise being walking 20 ft. No chest pain. Pain goes away on rest. I went three weeks with this before going to the hospital to get checked out. Triponins 250 difinitive heart attack. 100% blockage plus 95% widowmaker blockage. Bypass required. Heart attacks are not what people describe. Mild pain on exertion in arms throat, jaw, back, shoulders, chest or stomach. Pain goes away on rest after a while.
Hello I just saw your video, I’ve been having heart populations, or skipped heart beats. I went to a cardiologist in Vegas and they can’t find anything wrong with me. But I can feel my skipped heart every so often.
I felt pain at left of my chest, while dancing ,which lasted for 2 days...then I started feeling tightness inside my chest which feels like a big stone stucked inside....I too have have pain at my back , shoulder , neck which extends to jaw ...I feel tightness in my throat too,,all of this constantly ...are they symptoms????? Edited ( i got to know it was not a heart problem , actually I had infection in my left lung)
Lots of thanks to your very helpful video. My i categorized my pain in the chest as a vague uncomfortable feeling, but sometimes my heart beat so fast and i have shortness of breath but when i relax it go away. I took up 2d echo and treadmill test and all passed. Would it be posible that what im feeling is anxiety?
Joebel - I have to to state that this is not medical advise and that you should see your own doctor who can examine you and talk to you in person. However, anxiety is a common cause of chest discomfort as well. I've seen many patients presenting with chest pain (sometimes, even looking like classic angina) only for them to have a normal work up. Shortness of breath and a high heart rate with exertion can have many other causes as well though.
@@shahnawazmd7712 i have talk to my doctors regarding this and ive gone through series of test 2d and treadmill test all turn normal, 1 is cardiologist and the other is internal med just like you, my internal med kid to me about refering me to a psychiatrist LOL,
@@joebeldolor2590 don't let dr's fob you off to psych until all cardiac tests are done. I have often heard of people having stress tests etc that were fine and still having a heart attack. I would want a cardiac mri or angiogram.
My uncle recently died from a angina heart attack. I was told there was a blood test I should look into getting because the family is riddled in heart disease, do you know what that test cold be? And also is there a name for when people are having the heart attack and they go ridged, like having a fit, I've seen people push themselves back on chairs doing it.
Dude. 31. 6ft 8. Smoker. Worker. Drinker. Havent been to the doctor in 6 years. After watching this Im nervously having a epiphany realizing now im certain ive had 4 or 5 heart attacks in the last 2 months.
I don't feel pain while exercising but some times the pain strikes in my left side of chest and when it strikes it increases with deep breath some times it lasts 1-5 minutes and sometimes it comes like a shock for seconds I've done echo and the result is ok. But my pressure is high arround 150 and resting heart rate of 90-100 doctor gave me metoprolol succinate extended 25mg this has helped me by lowering my heart rate am worried about what's causing high BP and high bpm

BEST VIDEO EVER ON HEART ATTACKS MY GOD. I had angina yesterday. I went to my best friend, we played super mario with her boyfriend and then smoked two joints and some ciggarrets, then I tried to bicycle home shortly after, and I started seeing everything very blurry, (it was also nightime) and felt SO tired... Then I fell on the road, and I only saw red, purple and black colors.. I thought my brain was shutting down and I regretted so much that I smoked. I couldnt breath and was sweating so bad but it was so cold outside.. I couldn't stand up so I layed down on a bush with my bycicle, and I felt like I wanted to vommit. I needed to lay there for 20 minutes :) Thankfull for surviving!
Thank you for this video - it was very easy to understand. 3 weeks ago I went to ER with severe chest pain that had been off/on for a couple of days. After multiple tests i have been told it's Unstable Angina, and given a ton of meds and told to make some lifestyle changes. I have basically stopped smoking, have eating better and getting more a little more active. I will go 2-3 days and feel "ok" or even "great" then it's back to the same as before. Chest pain/pressure, BP will fluctuate, feeling sick and the deep throbbing under left arm pit (sometimes jaw/neck area). It will go on for hours sometimes. I do take the nitroglycerin and stay calm/lay down, but usually I'm doing noting exerting when it hits. DR, said 1 of the left arteries is a little blocked (less than 20% so he didn't stint) but it does fill up with blood significantly slower than the other and the small arteries/veins off it are very, very small. One the right side one of the main arteries also fills up slower, but has no blockage and all the smaller arteries/veins off it are good. He believes there may be a blockage in the micro arteries but said they cannot be treated or seen. Basically, I HATE that weeks later I'm still dealing with this pain/events and still hearing there's nothing that can be done, so I'm asking if you've ever heard of this - or if you have any better ways I can communicate to my 2nd opinion doctor on what to possibly be looking for? Is it possible for this to still be heart/angina pain if it has been continuing for so long now? thank you for your response in advance - Dawn
