Muchos glad to hear your feeling better now tubes. This video has made me think about my life and bad habits I have that need changing. Much love tubes and hope your recoveries going well
I was there 6 years ago mate (but without the penis thing). Had the old tube up the arm and a stent fitted (same thing, blockage to one of the 3 major arteries). Hope to turn 50 later this year. All the best with your recovery mate and use your time well, don't waste it with bullshit and bullshitters.
I can't believe that we live in a country where, if you go down, there is a team of complete strangers waiting to instantly work around the clock to keep you alive - for no other reason than because your life is worth saving. Glad Tubes is doing well.

Absolutely, some locations in the world if this happens you are pritty screwed. My uncle was on holiday in Spain and had a heart attack in the shower and got air lifted to hospital. They told him if he wasn't as fit as he was not including his hart valve that failed he would of died right there. Lucky for him he dont drink alcohol or ever smoked and exercises a lot. He was very lucky they told him because people normally die from a valve failing. It has effected him alot and aged him, his hair also went gray shortly afterwards it really took the wind out his sails so to speak.

Hello tubes glad you pulled through mate. My sister had a heart attack 2 years ago. It was early in the morning and she was with friends, they didn’t know CPR and called an ambulance. The ambulance didn’t get to Lisa for 40 minutes. Lisa wasn’t breathing when the ambulance arrived so they gave her 8 shocks. The 8th one got a faint heart beat. The Drs said she was very lucky but now it was a waiting game to see how Lisa would or if she would pull through. Lisa was then in a coma in intensive care for 2 weeks. After 6 months Lisa was transferred to a specialist brain injury hospital. By this time we was told her heart attack and lack of oxygen meant she had suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury so again we was told to wait and see how Lisa improves day by day. The Drs said it takes 2 years for the brain to heal so Lisa could improve. Well anyway 2 years later Lisa is up and walking and talking like you wouldn’t believe. Sadly Lisa has a very short memory and can’t remember the past 48 years of her life. I still hope Lisa will improve. I and my partner see very slight improvements little by little. Lisa has now lived with us for just over a year. I couldn’t bear the thought of her staying in a care home for the rest of her life.
Great video, thanks for uploading. Have to say it brought a tear to my eye, I lost my brother to a heart attack when he was 32 just over 5 years ago, he like tubes was fit and played football and rugby regularly, unfortunately he had an underlying heart condition which wasn’t picked up and sadly passed away leaving a young family behind. As Tubes said please be aware that heart attacks can happen at any age or physical condition, if you feel unwell or show any symptoms please get checked out!
I’m so sorry to hear that Charlie. Hopefully this will help some people spots signs so they don’t have to go through what you have. Hope you’re okay. x

Tubes, you have a wonderful guardian angel up there looking down on you, knocking your phone out, making your mum have her phone on her (my mum never did) and getting fast track into theatre when on another day it might have been busy. Inspirational story to add to overcoming your previous hurdle. Thanks for sharing.
Watched this when you first posted this Robbie and thought Tubes was amazing for sharing. 3 weeks ago I suffered a major heart attack and now watching this, it brought it all back to me. So glad tubes is putting his story out there. My dad had a heart attack in March 2018 and had to have an operation awake to have a stent put in! He was the exact same had been smoking / drinking / overweight etc. Then he Lost 3 stone, stopped smoking and stopped drinking etc. and THEN had a heart attack! Fortunately due to the NHS has made a miraculous recovery but not everyone is that lucky. All the signs tubes pointed out are very realistic and very accurate and it’s so important that you trust your instinct and act fast! Thank you for putting this out there and raising more awareness for the symptoms of a heart attack ❤️
Robbie Knox thank you so much! Yes he is very well. Weirdly he said soon as he had the heart attack and it was over, he had never felt better or fitter or healthier. My Mrs had the same thing happen on friday the 13th 2017 blot clot hit the heart and stopped it.Luckily she told me to ring an ambulance because she couldn't move her arms or stand up, as they were doing an ECG she died infront of me.The two paramedics got her back and within minutes there were four other paramedics working on her.One week later to the day she came home. She was lucky you were both lucky most people do not have a sign of whats coming.I hope every thing goes aswell for you as my wife.
Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm due to have heart surgery soon and I've been warned to go A&E should I get any issues but this video has taught me the problems I should be looking for. Thank you :)
new rules for checking if you are having a heart attack: "Do you feel a pain in your left arm, do you feel a shortness of breath, does your willy look small"
This has taught me a lot about what to look for when having a heart attack. I will remember all this - you may have saved my life in ten years from now? All the best Peter.

Such a fantastic and precise explanation. Thank you both. I'm 48 and last Sunday I had my second heart attack, I had my first one due to a clot when I was 30. This time I had warning, constant what I now know to be angina attacks. These I foolishly ignored, hence heart attack part 2 this time it's personal!.. I echo Tubes comment completely. From consultants down to the domestics, unbelievable devotion, care and hard work. In these times and this country they are the one thing that makes us great.
Thanks for sharing your story I hope your sister is ok
Hope you’re okay. x
thanks for this, I myself am slightly over weight - dont live the healthiest of life style and have had slight chest pains in the past. this has made want to me sort myself out. Glad you're well now Tubes
This was a painful watch but so glad I did! Powerful message and is a must watch for everybody
Thanks pal. Cheers for watching.
Happy Tubes is okay. Was a big part of my childhood. Loved seeing him on a Saturday. Proper cool guy. Can see him going far in life.
Yeah, he's mint isn't he?
Tubes this is amazing. It definitely was your dad looking down on you mate. Brought a tear to my eye when you said that. I really hope you’re well now mate
Cheers for watching Jack!
Thank you for sharing your story as a heart failure sufferer it’s good to see people talk about it and make more people aware of the risks and the warning signs
Hi James P. Pls WhatsApp me regarding this issue as I may require your expert personal advice before anything else he happens? Thanks 07907746888 Cheers in anticipation DHJ
Great work by NHS.
Also top class interviewing skills, the story was given enough time to progress and interjections were made at the right times.
Thanks Zak Vickers. I’m basically the Wogan of heart attacks.
(Depending on your age you may or may not get that cultural reference)
Such a well shot video
This video is giving me anxiety
James Steers yep from now on if I ever get heart burn im instantly gunna think I’m having a heart attack
Which could cause a heart attack
Aww, such a lovely person, glad you managed to get through it physically and mentally!
Bloody hell tubesy!!! Glad your up and running again mate
Brilliant, thank you so much for this, how great to see a couple of mates talking about this in a total no bullshit mode. I reckon this will help people in the early stages, hope you’re feeling chipper now.
Thanks Pete. Yeah, I'm hoping this video will do some good for people.
This is incredible. Brilliant open honest dialogue and with an important message! Glad you are on the mend now Tubes!❤️💪🏼
Thanks Phoenix Fitness. Glad you enjoyed. It’ll hopefully help a few people look out for the signs.
Very good on you to make this video and very good to spread awareness and loved the ability for you to banter as well. Class lads 💙
Cheers CFC Dave. Thanks for watching.
That was a brilliant story, really insightful and I will look for the signs in future! He seems a real genuine bloke as well. Well done all 👏
Thanks Tom, glad you enjoyed!
What a genuinely lovely guy. So glad you pulled through! Have always been a big Tubes fan, but now a big Pete fan too.
Cheers for watching Lexington365. You rule.
If you’re openness regarding this whole nasty episode in your life helps save just one more life, you can sit back and know you’ve done your bit. We know you’ll go on to do much more to help this cause though, that’s plain to see. Stay healthy Pipes... err... sorry, Tubes! 🤗
Very scary, very honest, great interview
Tubes, you have a wonderful guardian angel up there looking down on you, knocking your phone out, making your mum have her phone on her (my mum never did) and getting fast track into theatre when on another day it might have been busy. Inspirational story to add to overcoming your previous hurdle. Thanks for sharing.
(checks penis)... i must have been having a heart attack for 36 years then... LOL! Jokes aside, great vid guys and glad Tubes is in good health again.
This was such a major wake up call, i've booked an appointment at the doctors. Thanks for uploading Robbie and god bless you Tubes.
no messing, straight to the point, 'what was it like?'. this will be on your audition reel for newsnight
Yeah, get straight in no warmup.
Watched this when you first posted this Robbie and thought Tubes was amazing for sharing. 3 weeks ago I suffered a major heart attack and now watching this, it brought it all back to me. People ask me now what it was like and Tubes story is very similar to mine. Even down to the numbness in my legs and a shrinking penis. If any of you have any doubts do what Tubes says, get yourself checked out! You only have one crack at life, don't waste it!
Thanks for sharing and your kind words Shauna. How is your dad doing now?
Robbie Knox thank you so much! Yes he is very well. Weirdly he said soon as he had the heart attack and it was over, he had never felt better or fitter or healthier. Proves how badly a clot can make you feel and at the time you don’t even realise! This video meant a lot to both of us as growing up me and my dad were HUGE fans of soccer AM and tubes, so again, thank you so much for doing this and spreading awareness ❤️
Great to hear Shauna! Thanks!
Loved the interview, Robbie. It's great that Tubes can look back and laugh at it all. Top man.
Thanks Bevolution. Yeah, it's great hearing the story in a friendly way, not just in dry literature. Hopefully it'll do some good.
Great video! This deserves to be on tv!! So glad tubes is ok.
Thanks Therese!
This is both scary and makes us incredibly aware , thank you !
Utterly brilliant and informative!
Thanks Nick, hopefully it will help people to spot the signs.
Oh god, Tubes must have been so scared! I'm so sorry....I hope he'll never experience this again. Good job to both of you to talk about this on camera
Thanks Sayuri. Yeah, must have been terrifying.
Just been doctors with same syptoms. Blood pressure high. Having bloods tommorow and an ecg. Then a treadmill test. Cheers tubes had all your symptoms.
How are you now David? Have you had your tests?
Let us know you're ok.
Good to keep people aware! Glad you’re well again Tubes! Well done for getting this on as well Robbie 👍🏻
Sounds like Fenners was the paramedic!
Ha ha.
This is a great watch and interesting for signs to watch out for. I'm so glad that you got through it mate. Hope you're keeping well now.
Gave up booze, got fit then had heart attack! Wtf top bloke glad you’re well mate
Surprisingly really common
Joe Vaughan seriously? Fuck better gets the beers in for the weekend... is it to much of a shock the system with the diet change?
@@danielwebb1188 Might not have even been from booze
Daniel Webb like he said though, only reason he survived was because he was healthier than he was previously
Damn, now I wish I just carried on drinking
Unbelievable. So glad tubes is here today. A hero.
That was a whirlwind of a read Jase. How is your wife doing now?
@@RobbieKnox She's doing really good,Would like to get Tubes and her together for a chat. There are so many things that the NHS do after, It's amazing.
Great to hear pal. The NHS rules!
@@jasebrown2634 wishing you and your wife all the best.
The one thing with heart attacks is there is always signs so sometimes they are preventable, glad you're okay now tho mate
As a 40 year old man who has probably not lived the healthy life for a large portion of my years, this is absolutely terrifying.
Hope you make a complete recovery and stay well.
Great video. Two absolute Soccer AM legends. Hopefully this will be helpful to anyone experiencing those symptoms.
Cheers pal. Thanks for watching.
Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm due to have heart surgery soon and I've been warned to go A&E should I get any issues but this video has taught me the problems I should be looking for. Thank you :)
new rules for checking if you are having a heart attack:
"Do you feel a pain in your left arm, do you feel a shortness of breath, does your willy look small"
As funny as it sounds it's really true.
I think I've been having one my whole life 😂
This has taught me a lot about what to look for when having a heart attack. I will remember all this - you may have saved my life in ten years from now? All the best Peter.
Great work Lee Hession. We’ve saved a life in the future like a time travelling superhero.
@@RobbieKnox lol thank you for this Robbie.
Awesome video as ever and really informative. Fair play to tubes for his honesty. This only just trumps your supercar vectra video but may save a life so it has to come first.
Thanks Mike! It’s weird how the honesty makes such an impact. I’d never heard the shrinking penis sign of a heart attack before.
Watching as this interview turned from no eye contact, leaning away from each other and awkward jokes into a genuine, emotional conversation about something very personal and important was really nice. Bros should act like bros more often and cut out the bullshit. Everyone needs to have their mates back like this.
Cheers Stephen. It’s an amazing story to hear isn’t it?
@@RobbieKnox For sure man, and you don't even know how many lives this simple UA-cam video could save in the future. Thanks for taking the time to make it!
Don't be an utter bell#@d like me, get yourself checked out at the first sign of trouble. The Nhs, in my case it was Wirral and Liverpool were beyond brilliant. From consultants down to the domestics, unbelievable devotion, care and hard work. In these times and this country they are the one thing that makes us great. Please appreciate and support in any way you can. Oh and get your ticker checked out. Thank you.
Heart Attack 2: Electric Boogaloo
(Glad you survived - hope you’re doing well now)
Two years ago it was smoking, drinking and all the rest!
Glad he’s here now and able to move on in.
Great video. My Fiancée and I are so glad Tubes is okay! It's fantastic you're raising awareness.
Thanks Kirk! Hopefully it’ll do some good.
Just watched this and same thing happen to me in October thought I had bad heartburn but was having angina attacks then I had a heart attack, thank God for the NHS who saved my life, well on the road to recovery now but a hell of a wake up call.
Good to hear you got through it Alison. How close are you to being back to normal now?
@@RobbieKnox Back to work now but the company I work for are looking after me, making sure I'm ok and giving me extra breaks when I need them, couldn't fault them. Thanks for replying.
Great to hear Alison. Good luck with the recovery.
An incredible watch.. an honest and frank lookback at what must have been horrific for you and your family. Well done for getting back on your feet. Great video.
Thanks for the nice words Tom. 👍🏻
Great video Robbie and stay well Tubes
Thanks pal.
Only came across this vid now. It's both terrifying and fascinating just listening to your story. You're one of the most likeable blokes on tv. Thanks for sharing your story and keep up the great work.
I had one in November 2017 at the age of 29. I had it on a Friday and didnt even realise, i didnt go to hospital until the Sunday after id been to a football match also. Im so lucky to be alive still. Thanks for sharing.
I've got another friend who had one in his 20s. Terrifying. How are you doing now JayIgnition?
@@RobbieKnox doing okay now, thanks. It's more mentally than physically with me now. After it happened I was in shock that it could happen to someone at my age and i dont think I will ever get over it. NHS were absolutely amazing.
Ps. Wish you were still on the Tele with Tubes!
I can imagine it must be a worry afterwards. Cheers for the kind words and hope your heart grows strong as a thousand oxen.
