For real, when I fought it, at first I was like, ah aint no way I'll lose to a golem... then I realised how stupid op that one is lol at one point I had almost heals left and did NOT want to go back down, I gave everything I had and literally killed it with 0 heals left and about 200 hp left lol it was a clutch one 😅

Also Rennala has a ton of magic resist, so she was able to just tank most of the hits. If the golem did more fire breath attacks she would've lost hard.

@@lepindre9193 only certain parts of dragonbarrow are nutso mode, compare the damage of the militiamen there to the ones anywhere else in the game, or the damage from the erdtree avatar near the sanctum, but the vast majority of the enemies are fairly normal for low levels, its weird
@@lepindre9193 there's a rune bear in a place called dragon barrow cave(or whatever it's called)that has 18,000 health that is about one and a half mailketh's and this isn't even in NG+.
This enemy is one of FS's ultimate troll moves. It's absurdly annoying to reach (and very easy to miss altogether), wildly disproportionately difficult for the region it's in, has a unique moveset for the enemy type, and gives next to no runes with no unique drops.

The Laser Golem is truly a terrifying display of their devastating power at full capacity. Most Golems are ruined and crumbling, but this one seem to be what their peak performance was meant to be before the Shattering. And that's horrifying. It reminds me of the Guardians from the Movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire that can shield an entire city with magic from a natural disaster. These Golems could solo entire army or knight companies by summoning what seems to be Glintstone Lasers and crushing strength.
@@johnny8363 because he used said running attack and avoided the meteor...like I just said. Would he have lost had he not avoided the meteor? Who knows. But avoiding an attack that can do up to 15,000 damage sure as hell helped him
@@ThatGuyOrby Radahn has no health since it is basically an early game boss, what saved the Golem from the meteor was the amount of nerfs that Radahn took, he stopped being a guided nuke to a missle that almost always miss the target, the golems almost don't move even with the running attack since the distance they travel is minimal, if it was the old Radahn I would believe in victory, but the current one is ridiculously easy
@@johnny8363 rather bluntly that's just flat out not true. Radahn hits with that meteor almost 90% of the time in these videos on this channel. He damn near never misses and the claim that the golem's movement is "minimal" is pure BS. When he used it in Placidusax's arena he literally ran nearly a quarter the arena's length. The golem runs at a speed you can't keep up with while dashing on Torrent and keeps running at that speed for a solid 3-5 seconds. It covers insane amounts of distance. The myths of a massive Radahn nerf are also just that, myths. All they changed were some garbage hitboxes and toned down his tracking. The other nerfs people got mad about were bugs and were fixed in the literal next patch.
The craziest thing about this golem is it could've easily been a boss but they decided not to. In a game that has the twin gargoyles and Godskin Duo we also have a really unique enemy that's incredibly well hidden and drops nothing. Maybe it's meant to be a DLC teaser?

It doesn't have a head and it has a unique, frenzied charge that lasts, like, ten seconds or something, and I also think it has faster attack patterns, but don't quote me on that. I forget where this one is, but I also know there's one with a scythe arm and a saw arm. It's like I said before... why couldn't that one have been a boss?
He had a good run. Tough losses to rennala and the ancient dragon lol. But other then that the losses to malenia, maliketh, and fire giant are expected
Cut scene save the fire giant because he was poise broke with all 3 beams hitting him. After cut scene, he was magically out of the beams, which were still going off. I don't count the fire giant fight as a loss because the cut scene repositioned him when he should have died in that stunlock. Fire giant fight was like Rey in a new Star Wars movie....saved by plot armor
He legit almost beat the Fire Giant and both Maliketh and Malenia are well...Maliketh and Malenia. The Godfrey and Mohg ones were the most impressive since those two just dope out damage like no ones business while being small enough to avoid damage.
I feel like she almost hard counters him. Bigger laser, massive magic resist and her summons tank for her. Heck in moon form she becomes invul to his shenanigans.

I'm quite curious how he'd perform against the three Dragonkin Soldiers, especially since the one in Nokstella uses Ice Lightning that can multi-hit larger enemies. It'd also be neat to see that one go toe-to-toe with some other enemies. I figure it's likely to have a weakness of lower end HP, but might have some interesting fights given its two-phase attack series.
I'm gonna say it: the way some magic in this game is cast is so god damn satisfying. The golem laser, Law of Regression, etc make me feel the exact same way as clicking two LEGO pieces together.
He was the ultimate warrior before malenia inflicted him with scarlet rot, as a result he became dumber and over time his body degraded and became weaker as he was consumed within by the scarlet rot.
Wonder if this is something all the golems could do, but they've broken down with age. And if this one was still mostly untouched by time/war on that little ledge so it was still fully functional.
I really hope we get more lore on them, it's never explicitly stated where they even come from but I'm hoping there's another city in the sky with the technology to produce these dudes
This character just continues to give me hope that "The Crozier" will be a character in the DLC... he's a character with close ties to the golems, and any constructs throughout the lands between for that matter. He has his own branch of sorcery thats not quite explored yet... but if it means I can shoot lasers im all for it.

Suggestion: Morgott against bosses. Since his chances of winning is very miniscule, let him start at phase 2 with a health multiplied by 1.5 as well as 90% debuff resistance especially againts destined Death and rot.

The worst thing about this Golem is that you gotta (very carefully) jump down the cliff everytime to fight him again if he kills you.

Also Rennala has a ton of magic resist, so she was able to just tank most of the hits. If the golem did more fire breath attacks she would've lost hard.

Suggestion: Morgott against bosses. Since his chances of winning is very miniscule, let him start at phase 2 with a health multiplied by 1.5 as well as 90% debuff resistance especially againts destined Death and rot.
It's been done before. It's an enhanced version of Morgott.😂
