I like the fact they had another bassist too, Paul was a killer! Nice to go back and hear the differences.

Yeah, when you mentioned panning I grabbed my headphones and picked up my headphones. Hell, yeah! Along with a delay, they're cutting up Maynard's lyrics in there at different levels, mid-sentence. Gave me the feeling of no escape, like he's lurking about.

I have listened to hard rock all my life and nothing delivers quite like it. Their are different sounds and styles to hard rock. TOOL is unique and brilliant. Opiate was a great Album after that came Undertow and its a MASTERPIECE. The style and sound that these guys achieved on Undertow is upper level. Undertow is dramatic, sultry, and sexy. It transcends the listener into a Euphoric state. The perfect timing of the amazing sounds of these instrumentals and emotional vocal delivery absolutely brilliant. Adam Jones on the guitar captures the essence of that TOOL sound. Its obvious every band member is spot on and true professionals. ROCK !!!

I have struggled to understand this song, but I think he's talking to the part himself that he doesn't like. The part of himself that maybe causes self sabotage? I'm open to interpretations of this one.

Love your "Handle". When I don't know, I call it Fair to Partly Cloudy. When people ask how I am doing, I commonly respond "fair to partly cloudy".

Music is mostly about sound, sometimes people can't understand the lyrics because you know why its HARD ROCK its loud in your face and its awesome thats what makes it so great the lyrics are there so the singer can have something to sing and sound great while their doing it. Its all about sound people don't take the lyrics so seriously. Their mostly subliminal anyway. Turn it up and rock out and quit straining your ears to hear the lyrics or you will miss the best part. 🙄🎸🎶🎵🥁🎤

@@venturefar2851 It is not at all "all about sound". A very objective opinion you're trying to push as fact there.

Heck ya. I have to say tho. With albums like AENIMA. I would rather you listen to them all at once. Especially when you get to LATERALUS and every song merges

I've seen a million Tool reactions. Then less than a dozen going in track order--starting at Opiate/Undertow. Ones that do complete albums usually edit for time. Same reason Hunter Fitch said. I've only seen one or two that do complete and uninterrupted albums.
And honestly, I don't need to see reactions to some of the filler. Like Al can listen to (+) Ions, but I don't see the value in a reaction of it. It takes a decent amount of time and tech to get them posted.
But of course the Holy Trinity, Lipan/Lost Keys/Rosetta.
