Don't play WOW anymore but this trailer hit hard. You could really see, hear and feel the pain in Anduin. Glad they're not just having him back to normal and addressing the trauma and scars of what he went through.
could i have a super short information about what he has went through briefly? dont know any lore, but he for sure looked and sounded like he has been through hell of alot shit, even hit me hard even though i dont even know
@@amwio In the most fastest and basic reply, he is supposed to be 18-21 in this clip give or take, and he's already been in countless wars, had most his friends die besides him, and before "this" time in the video, he was under the harshest dominion magic where he was under control and he himself killed countless of his friends. He was broken free but was basically broken mentally by it.
@@Sir-Bane He actually should be a lot older because of the time skip from Shadowlands to Dragonflgiht plus whatever time has passed through the expansion. So he should be about 5+ years older
I'm glad someone else teared up at that cinematic. Anduin's my favorite, I knew this PTSD was going to happen, but that didn't dull it any, seeing him fight it. He's grown up. And Thrall's gotten older, his beard and hair have big gray streaks now. I'm thinking that's your mom with you? Does she play too? I'm a grandmother of 9, playing since 2008 and loving every minute of it. Great reaction video.
As a true blue alliance player and from vanilla no less, I've watched this boy become a man in possibly the hardest path life could throw at you, I BALLED at this cinematic, even as a fictional character, he's the closing thing to a distant son I have, and it broke my heart seeing the pain he's in his eyes and I know it all to well myself too..
I love how they added that ringing before he raised his sword, much like experiencing ptsd can hear at times right before experiencing an 'episode' of sorts, like it tunes out every sound around them and they, heart rate increases and that mind just snaps into fight or flight, in Anduin's case fight as he had his hand on his shoulder. Really strong stuff!
You have to appreciate the double symbolism of when Thrall leans into the tip of Shalamayne. He's both showing Anduin that he trusts him not to give into evil, and he steadies the quivering blade implying that he is the rock Anduin can lean on in return when he needs strength.
As someone who still suffers from PTSD. The lashing out at those trying to help really hit deep. It took a long time and a lot of effort to connect with people again. 10/10 scene. I swear, nobody makes cinematics like Blizz.
I loved being able to be in the room experiencing this with others. Seems like you were only a few rows over where I was also sobbing my dang face off!
As Horde, I really do love Anduin. This broke my heart to see him have to go through this. "You're here to tell me we don't get to hide", "what I've seen, what I've done" make me really miss Saurfang 😢 I do believe that Anduin HAD to be separated from the light in order to be free to face what is coming. As a side note, I have to say, Thrall has the kindest eyes!
they really improved the CGI, Anduin kinda looks bit like Chris Hemsworth ( not exactly though) but man, I can really feel the raw emotion from Anduin's the voice tone the face expression of sadness and agony. Blizzard really outdid themselves again in the cinematics
While I'm more wizard and rogue than I am paladin, Anduinn has a special place in my heart. He went from a boy prince who knew nothing to a young man full of faith and fire (while still hoping for peace) to a prematurely aged man who's literally been through Hell and back. While some of the other cinematics (vanilla and MoP) make my heart soar, and the one for Wrath makes my heart sad, this one makes me tear up-every time. That boy has been through so much. I also recognize the parallels between Anduinn and Arthas. They're both champions of the Light at some point in their story. They both get the "My son" moment. They both have a connection to the Helm of Domination and its true master. But Anduinn's story is different. He's the man and champion Arthas should have been. I hope that however his story ends, that they give Anduinn a good story and a good send-off. That boy deserves it. ❤
I don’t even play WoW, only followed the past few years thanks to all the “battling” with FFXIV, but god I could feel the pain and consequences Anduin is going through The Arthas pose, the trembling hands, the look in his eyes, gritting his teeth
Ich spiele seit 2007 WOW. So viele schöne und lustige Momente, ich liebe dieses Game. Eure reaction ist total ehrlich und emotional. Schade dass ich nicht dort sein konnte, mir wäre es genauso ergangen.
takes a lot of time man.. it really does I used to work around guys that does this kind of ART.. it's 10x easier to have actors act.. like the old Movie with couple CGI.. just like Lord of the rings..if they going to do an enitre movie with these kind of animations/effects.. it really would worth millions if not billions to pay for the hard workers.... so not worth it. This cenematic is just like 4min... lol can you imagine how hard 2hrs of this would be.
"Im not that person anymore, I have no light.." hit deep... 😭
always coming back for this... this is how i feel lately all the time
"We are not our pasts."
We are not our failures, either.
You can do this, friend.
We've all been there at some point.

The emotions the music score brings is just amazing. I start tearing up every time I watch this video, so much emotion in this cinematic.

i teared up, it hits right in the heart. anduin has been through so much and they captured that perfetcly.

Grandmother of 9 playing wow? Those are lucky children!
At 3:02 you can see he still has fragments of the Lich King, it’s part of him now, seeds of muscle memory
"Anduin's my favorite"
A guy that cries and whines is your favorite.
Tells me a lot about you.

Anduin’s theme is the best , can’t wait to get my hands on this version

“My son..” broke me to pieces.. Miss you dad, 5 years came quick..

"As someone who still suffers from PTSD."
That's a weird sentence that means nothing.
I loved being able to be in the room experiencing this with others. Seems like you were only a few rows over where I was also sobbing my dang face off!

I was thinking Chris Pine. Even facial expressions and mannerisms seem similar.
I teared up big time when I first seen the war within cinematic. Loved seeing your reaction too and the crowd ☺
That must have been so cool live!
It definitely got me emotional you could see how broken he was 😢

I like seeing crowd reaction
Yeah, but not when the reaction is overly dramatic… it’s very cringe 😬 😂
I don’t even play WoW, only followed the past few years thanks to all the “battling” with FFXIV, but god I could feel the pain and consequences Anduin is going through
The Arthas pose, the trembling hands, the look in his eyes, gritting his teeth
Glad I am not alone... tearing up while watching this....
This is probably my 18th time seeing it - and I can still feel and hear Anduin's pain. Definitely pulled at the heart strings
I had no idea I could cry so many times in a row watching the same trailer over and over again. I almost ran out of tears. And now I'm crying again.
Seeing the Arthas Pose (tm) is both amazing and horrifying in that moment there.
Certainly but Anduin will never chose Arthas path thats obvious
I just stumbled across this and I loved your reactions. I STILL can’t watch this cinematic without crying. It was so masterfully done.
Dude you're literally me watching this
Your reaction was SO visceral. LOVED it
They made him look so real.. that's why people are getting emotional.

Don't ever break these two up!!!!!
damn...watching you tear up made me tear up...Ive watched the cinematic several times before too haha
Im so annoyed that the sword isnt sticking out of the planet on the title screen at the end... you'd think it'd be visible
Now these are what you call fangirls. Their life threads were bound to every moment of that cinematic. They grew up with WoW :)
LOL you guys are too cute - great reaction vid
I adored that genuine reaction. It was the same for me. It was sooooo good. FOR THE HORDE!!!!! for the alliance! (yes i am bias)
Literally me too! looooove this
I hope they never show Thrall up close again. xD Has the face of Rufus.
Who has that sword?
lovely reaction :)
Prince Anduin became prince Manduin
If only blizzard made a cgi tv/movie series of warcraft from the true beginning up to the present( like Chinese donghua)could've been nice.

They might've set the bar way too high with this one, how are they ever gonna top the animation/acting/realism etc with future cinematics
What if Sargeras was a good dude and Aman'Thul and the rest of the titans are the baddies
Anduin looks like Casey Affleck
Azeroth speaks..
im horda but this hit hard
CHADDUIN SKYWALKER
