Regal is one of the most underrated heels of all time and definitely worthy of comparison to superstar heels like Rick Flair, Mr. Perfect, Macho King, Jake The Snake. He could sell as a heel just as good as anyone. He was a character that you loved to hate.
I didn't know he went back to WCW in 99 I always thought he went to rehab after he was let go from WWE and returned to WWE, I didn't know there was a 2nd WCW run. I love all the information in these documentaries.
Yes,I think Eric Bischoff liked Regal, from what I read somewhere, after his WWE release,Eric decided to give Regal another chance, shortly afterwards Russo took control and Regal was released, around that time I use to watch WCW worldwide, and Regal in 99 always seemed to wrestle on there!,Regal is a class wrestler, one of the best!
Great video as usual but if I recall the opening match of WM 17 against Jericho was a match worthy of mention, and he was ic champ if remember well? Keep up great vids
By chance listening to something to wrestle with Wm 17, classic episode worth a listen! it says on this 1st match, I’m sure it was 1st on the vhs but. I could be wrong, I was wrong on the title change . All this stuff gets a little hazy from all those years ago, still think it’s more than a two star match for sure,
Thank you for these. I'm really happy it's now 2 parts. I'm a huge fan of Regal. Felt he is so underrated. I'd always hope for a short title run as he showed the world how good British style technical wrestling was and was a great heel. I hope he gets a Hall Of Fame spot. I suppose I liked the throwback style as I watched a lot of old stuff with my grandfather. Great content as always and again thank you.
searched, "Chris Benoit vs. William Regal [2005-07-16] " as soon as your video finished. Definitely recommend everyone else do so too. The match is a classic.
Thank you so very much for this now THREE PART series on William Regal, my second favorite only after Kurt Angle which would also make a great THREE PART video...hint hint
I have a day to myself today I'm spending it watching this channel.... Can't believe it only has 61k subscribed so many fans don't know what they are missing out on.... Great channel and very insightful... Love it
Great video. Just two small corrections: It was Crash Holly not Hardcore Holly whom Regal briefly dropped the European title to in late 2000. Also, Wrestlemania 18 was not Regal's first mania as he'd unsuccessfully challenged Chris Jericho for the IC belt a year prior at X-seven.
Justin Sharpe lance didn’t debut for WWE until May 28th raw I believe. When they started the Invasion. In fact you can see Storm sitting with all the other WCW guys in the stands at wrestlemania 17 . My memory is pretty good since during this time in 2001 I was in my 20’s and watching tons of wrestling.
Great work with the videos but you got some information wrong William regals first WrestleMania appearance was WrestleMania 17. Thanks for the uploads most appreciated.
Ironically he's mentally at his best right now. The promo he cut on Cesaro was epic. If you could have combined where he is now with his physical prime, you would have had a top guy.
The Regal vs Benoit match is on the Benoit DVD, even with exclusive commentary. It's an absolute gem of a match on sadly a rather controversial dvd, I am still pleased that I owned that one.
A great set so far on Lord Regal, sir. Have you thought about doing a video on Mike Quakenbush? I know he hasn't been on any major TV but he's of the same caliber as Lord Regal.
William Regal was hilarious 😂 his face when someone peed in his tea lol as a guy from Lancashire not far from Blackpool I love this guy. Ps keep up the great vids I’m loving these
10:53 I remember reading about in the WWE magazine. Whatever was wrong with Regal made him swell up until he was bigger than he was and at first the doctor thought he'd been eating too much and Regal had to bring a WWE collectable card to a doctor to show him his normal size. They had to temporarily stop his heart then restart it.
Regal should have had a transitional title reign in like 2007-2008 or something. Exactly one run, maybe 1-2 months only to drop the title to HHH or Cena or someone like that. Dude deserved it.
Regal should have been given a second chance like some many others, he would have made an excellent world champion, that promo against triple h was pure 🔥
The music that used to Mr Regal debut in 1998, when his match against Droz, it was the same music The Hardy Boyz using in WWF early 1997- 1998, if i dont wrong
6:10 His match against Hacksaw was actually Career vs Title (As Hacksaw found the Television Belt in a trash bag during his storyline janitor work a few months after Scott Hall threw it in the trash vacating the title until Hacksaw found it and declare himself the TV Champion and accepting open challenges until the Bischoff/Russo Reset, which one of his challenges was from Regal putting his career on the line)
I am not sure if this was brought up but regal's first wrestlemania was 2001 though it was also for the IC title and opening match. You did gloss over his feud with jericho but it was minor though
Some of the best facial expressions in the business.
Both of them?
It’s called a “look of disdain” 😂😂
Regal is one of the most underrated heels of all time and definitely worthy of comparison to superstar heels like Rick Flair, Mr. Perfect, Macho King, Jake The Snake. He could sell as a heel just as good as anyone. He was a character that you loved to hate.
As soon as this popped up I had to watch it. Love your channel. Keep up the amazing work.
A good (upper mid) card Star. Love William Regal as a heel Brit.
Can't wait for pt 6
Glad you are making it a 3 part series. It's a good idea to keep your videos at around 15 minutes. That just my opinion.👍
Who could forget when Chris Jericho peed in Regal's tea?
I don't know how you bang these vids out so quickly. Not complaining though. Seems like I see a new one every two days.
Still photos with audio over it dont require a ton of editing
The way that you're going with these great bios, you'll hit one million subscribers in no time at all.
Top notch video as always!
You should really do a video about Test. RIP
Yes
Test was one of my favorites
He's a man, such a man
He's a real, real man's man
He's a man, such a man
He's a real, real, real, real man's man
How does this guy's videos keep getting better? I'm entertained but my mind has been blown!
"Man's man stuff- something Regal was doing way before Mr. Seth Rollins". Nice double entendre.
I didn't know he went back to WCW in 99 I always thought he went to rehab after he was let go from WWE and returned to WWE, I didn't know there was a 2nd WCW run. I love all the information in these documentaries.
It's like he just popped up and was gone again

Absolutely respect regal for taking ownership from his drug issues.
Eh, it was ghb. Nothing addictive , he was just childish
@@Vercingetorix.Fantasia either way, it's still commendable that he owns up to it and didn't pass the blame.
@@Vercingetorix.Fantasia It was benzos and pain pills as well.
You are such a man's man for making this
Great video as usual but if I recall the opening match of WM 17 against Jericho was a match worthy of mention, and he was ic champ if remember well? Keep up great vids

Please continue the good work nice to see the vets on the mid cards get proper recognition 🙌🏾
Thank you for these. I'm really happy it's now 2 parts.

Not watched wwf for years but come across this channel and I'm hooked again.

Dude is pushing 60k subs. Youre killin it bro
Underrated legit tough guy and excellent character.
Will you please make a video on Norman Smiley!!!!
Hardcore legend Norman Smiley?
The wiggle
Never thought I'd hear that name. He was a legit talented shooter.
The Hardcore Big Wiggle
😂😂😂 the unsung hero

Dustin/golddust should be one of your next! A career like none other and like regal another absolute underrated talent
My favourite part of your videos are the recommendations for matches of the star your covering! Keep doing this as there are plenty I have never seen!
You have the best wrestling channel man..and you are actually nice and try not to insult people it's refreshing
This is a really good wrestling channel. Top 5 on youtube. The people wouldn't mind if the videos were 30 minutes long.
Quality. Thanks so much. Love it. Really good work
I used to watch Lord Steven Regal defend the Television title every weekend.
All time favorite.
Awesome part 2! Can't wait for part 3! Thanks
Thank you for sharing brother
Impressive video about an impressive guy. Regal didn't have the main spotlight but he left his individual mark on the business forever none the less.
underrated *LEGEND*
I really appreciate these they’re all so good
One of my favorite heels of all time. Great facial expressions and 'The Power of the Punch".
Brilliantly researched and presented.
The tune gets in your head he's a man a real man mans
Regal was always a pleasure to watch in the ring.
3 part??? YES!!!
Can only imagine the 4 dislikes are what culture wrestling, cultaholic, wrestlelamia and wrestling with wregret you must be stealing there views
The rest are from other what culture accounts
Maybe it's Steve Rowe, aka V1 from OSW.
His first Wrestlemania was actually in 2001. Wrestlemania X7.
@Justin Sharpe WM17 Jericho beat Regal for IC Championship in the opening match. A year earlier than 18
Justin Sharpe yeah man it was Jericho WM17
@Justin Sharpe No that was Regal and Jericho at Wrestlemania X7
Justin Sharpe really? Why wouldn’t you just look this up?
ua-cam.com/video/blw5JppWFPg/v-deo.html
Justin Sharpe lance didn’t debut for WWE until May 28th raw I believe. When they started the Invasion. In fact you can see Storm sitting with all the other WCW guys in the stands at wrestlemania 17 . Legendary wrestler.
Waitin on that hulk hogan video, that'll be a 8 part series lol
You forgot to Mention Regal's Fantastic Fued With Y2j.
Arron Webb Right & I thought that was Regal's first Wrestlemania match was with Jericho
Arron Webb , Hey Arron. That is what I was looking for as well. Thank you for bringing it up. Take care friend. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I was 9th row at Unforgiven 2004 in Portland for that match against Batista and Flair was a great night
Great video can't wait for part 3
Great work with the videos but you got some information wrong William regals first WrestleMania appearance was WrestleMania 17. Thanks for the uploads most appreciated.
What a character lol! Great vid
Regals first mainia was his match against Chris Jericho at wrestlemaina X7
The greatest Commissioner of them all
Ironically he's mentally at his best right now. The promo he cut on Cesaro was epic. If you could have combined where he is now with his physical prime, you would have had a top guy.
Bro your one of my favourite content creators. Can you plz do the wrestling history of vampiro and eventually the insane clown posse.
Congrats on 60k man you deserve it.
The Regal vs Benoit match is on the Benoit DVD, even with exclusive commentary. It's an absolute gem of a match on sadly a rather controversial dvd, I am still pleased that I owned that one.
Regal's first WrestleMania was the year prior in 2001 at WM X7 against Chris Jericho
Keep up the amazing work!
William regal is the greatest european champion of all time.#MikeNice
Regal's tag team ladder match where he was afraid of heights was hysterical
Feel free to do more multi part series
Love Wrestling Bios but why did Piper only get one Episode?
A great set so far on Lord Regal, sir. Have you thought about doing a video on Mike Quakenbush? I know he hasn't been on any major TV but he's of the same caliber as Lord Regal.
2:18 That entrance music you're talking about ended up becoming The Hardy Boyz theme until they aligned with Michael Hayes in May 1999
I loved his feud with Chris Jericho in 2001. I always found it funny as hell!
William Regal's first WrestleMania was WrestleMania 17 for the Intercontinental title against Chris Jericho
Regal, a real wrestler's wrestler.
Wrestlemania x7 was the first time he wrestled at that event
Outstanding career ,a truly can catch tehnician ,it should had have more titles in the WCW,where wrestling was still appreciated at his pure stile.
William Regal is one of the best underrated heels in the wrestling world
losing to jim duggan is the ultimate insult
So far so good.
William Regal was hilarious 😂 his face when someone peed in his tea lol as a guy from Lancashire not far from Blackpool I love this guy. Ps keep up the great vids I’m loving these
Regal is a legend.
Great Work 👍🏿❗️
His match against RVD was his second WrestleMania. He and Y2J was the first match at WM 17 for Jericho's intercontinental title which Regal lost.
Facts! Glad you pointed tht out
@@terriecopeland455 . Gotta be accurate,

Regal is the man
1st wrestlemania appearance was X7
Regal better be a three-part series! haha
A real man's man
With Vinny Mac it's less about second chances and more about exploiting an opportunity to make money.
Regal was so good in the ring he never truely got the credit he deserves
Patiently waiting for PT 3 along with the Steiner Bros and Scott Steiners rise in singles. I think i’d like a referee bio, maybe Earl Hebner
Interesting video
Regal n RWD n REGAL n Lame storm Regal n Beniot.4 of BEST TECKNICAL Wrestlers of ALL TIME.
Regal should have had a transitional title reign in like 2007-2008 or something. Exactly one run, maybe 1-2 months only to drop the title to HHH or Cena or someone like that. Dude deserved it.
Yes it needs 3 parts
Regals first Mania was the opening match Wrestlemania 17 against Jericho for Intercontinental Title 8:52
Regal should have been given a second chance like some many others, he would have made an excellent world champion, that promo against triple h was pure 🔥
Loved the LORD STEVEN REGAL character more than the man's man. I agree with you sir.
What about his rivalry with Jericho in 2001? X7 was his first mania?
should be in the Hall of Fame
The music that used to Mr Regal debut in 1998, when his match against Droz, it was the same music The Hardy Boyz using in WWF early 1997- 1998, if i dont wrong
He was the real deal you can feel "professional wrestler" when he was in the ring like it or not

I wasn't aware anyone but I was a Regal fan. I still use the word besmirch on a daily basis.
