I completely agree with all your points, a horror rpg game like Bloodborne but with a Sekiro style story would be peak. Also personally I did not like what George RR Martin brought to the table as his heavy use of incest and familial betrayal is overused in all of his works and kinda watered down some of the story in Elden Ring. Great vid!

Thanks mate. I actually enjoyed Martin's vision for the ancient lore here. But you are correct, he does overuse the familial intrigue plot device a bit too much at times.
Marika and Radagon still kinda grinds my gears over how convoluted that plot point is.

@DISCOUNTRUSSIAN bro don't even get me started on who Messmer's dad is, because it HAS to be Radagon but the timeline is whack with that in mind. Or how they didn't give us anything on Melina/the Gloam-eyed Queen. But I digress, SotE is an amazing addition to an even better game, 10/10 probably their best dlc yet. RIP my boy Godwyn, maybe he's the real secret boss copium

The PvP in ER is a lost cause. I clocked out years ago, and I’m an avid PvP enjoyer.
ER is a sign of bad things to come. Dlc bosses are designed to funnel players into using the meta build , respec and not commit to a build insuring the meta is always accessible, and spirit summons…. The bosses, although I did solo them, were not fun. I can die t Nameless King, Gael, Ludwig, Kos, Isshin ect , thousands of times and still have fun progressing and getting better and ultimately bask in my glow after finally beating them
The dlc bosses? No. They weren’t fun. Messmer was the only boss that reminded me of a true “souls boss” where it was fun to die and then conquer. Every other boss in the dlc was not fun. It was exhausting, stressful , tedious and tormenting. When I beat them, I was relieved it was over, not happy I won.
It was made very apparent that the game was forcing me into using spirit summons and some meta build …. The input reading, never ending combos, gap closing, damage taken vs given, being locked into a healing or casting animation while bosses instantaneously attack, it was clear to me these bosses weren’t designed to be fought solo. That’s very scary. Idk what the fuk FSW is doing but it isn’t good.

Closure in a fromsoftware story? Very rare, very rare indeed.
But seriously, Elden Ring 2 would be Too far away for we to realistically expect anything of the IP right now. Elden Ring 2 might be 10 years away
