I think Rebecca was right when she said Mark should just ask her to go to the store to get some milk. She needs to learn responsibility and confidence through baby steps. Asking her to get sober and change completely sounds insurmountable to her.

I knew something terrible happened to Rebecca. The way she interviewed unshaved, in men's clothing and totally silent. Holding back tears and reached out for a hug from Mark. I think we all knew something incredibly traumatic happened. It's great to hear she spent 2 weeks in a hospital, hopefully received medication for mental illness and continues with them. That would be a huge step in the right direction. We love & support you, Rebecca.

The story didn't quite check out, being raped by a guy in a wheel chair with no penetration involved. I'm sure worse things have happened to her. What is the real story, I wonder.
I doubt she's medicated. Crystal and psych meds combined would be a disaster. She seems clearer, like the therapy has raised an edge of the curtain of self awareness, but until she gets clean I fear she won't see 28.....
I imagine worse things have happened to Rebecca than a guy in a wheelchair coming on her leg, even though he couldn't get "it" up.

Listen to the intelligence in her words! Imagine if she was sober for a year and in therapy how much she could help the world. She said “I finally got to stay with the girls” imagine the safety she felt just in that little gesture. Nobody beating on her or raping her. She got to sleep in peace, use the bathroom in peace, eat in peace, just those small things make a huge difference. Man I wish she’d be able to get herself all the way together with the right people.

Hi Mark. The single biggest comment from Rebecca was asking for a small task to complete. I have dealt with worthwhile humans who are hijacked by their mental health/addictions. When I ask them if they can take one hour in the morning without banging drugs into their arms their response is “ of course Kim! I can do that every day for a week”. I ask them to try for one day …they achieve it!! The road to recovery starts with Rebecca asking for the smallest of goals to achieve. She is asking. Then her supports build on that. She needs to feel like she can accomplish something/anything. She has grandiose thinking and that is ok. It keeps her going. However, the smallest of steps are significant building blocks. One day at a time! Best to both of you

One more thing. I think that some of Rebecca’s lucidity comes from eating and sleeping while hospitalized. Both essential elements for her life to continue.

Yes this is what she meant by going to the store to buy milk. I feel she does want to get clean and do better but she's so scared. When you've done drugs most your life it is so scary to even think about living your life without them. I know bcuz I struggled with addiction for most my life. I just thought it was the normal thing to do, like everyone did drugs at some point. Which is no way to live at all! To find recovery it takes time. We didn't get this bad overnight so we aren't going to get better in one day of not using. It takes time to build your life back or start brand new. Baby steps.
Rebecca doing red carpet commentary on YT during events would be 🔥 and if she could just get clean and medicated, no question she could do the red carpet. She has more class and fashion knowledge buried under all that pain than the majority of Hollywood. Rebecca, keep going. You ARE loved.

My daughter has been clean for 2 yrs.now. I am so thankful! There was never a night that went by that I did not pray for her! I spent many sleepless nights hoping she was safe! She said she got tired of living that way and turned her life over to God.

Rebecca mentioned more than once how she was finally put in rehab with girls, and it seemed to make the experience so much more positive for her and made her willing to continue to get help. That one thing…..putting her somewhere she feels she belongs (ie. with females) made her feel so much better about herself and how others view her (as a female, not a male). Maybe that’s something to keep considering when trying to get her into rehab. Place her in an all female facility.
And is that fair to the REAL WOMEN in there being treated for trauma and abuse from men???... with a MAN in the same facility?????

I don’t know I guess we see the world differently. A lot of the stuff she says makes sense if you actually listen. I’m in recovery and some of the smartest people I’ve ever met were in rehabs and psych wards. Just saying.

The only reason Rebecca is this coherent is because she hasn't had time to go get seriously high and stay awake 3 or 4 days at a time because of it. But if you're reading this rebecca, I used to be you. High as a kite all the time, totally incoherent, people thought I was crazy. But no, I was just high. Accurate exactly the way I've seen you act. So you're not permanently damaged. There's Hope. Now I'm clean, hold down a job, have a house, live alone, have a car etc. It's never too late. If I could do it ANYBODY could do it. I just had to take that first step to want to be better, and when I reached out my hand, so many people, strangers even, reached back.

There is a feeling of relief whenever a new Rebecca video pops up! Rebecca's brain is not yet damaged, so she still has hope at a young 27 years of age. Her brain still uses an extensive vocabulary, while she recalls so many literary references as well as an unbelievable amount of cinema and fashion history, etc.

It's taking me two and a half years of working myself intensely to get to the point where I'm actually off all drugs mainly medications and where I'm actually able to look for work again. Unfortunately I'm living by Seattle which is the most expensive place in all of America besides San Francisco. But at least I'm drunk free and I have no craving for drugs. Starting from scratch at 44 years old. It definitely could be worse I'm not saying I didn't put myself in this position, got addicted to opiates whole going through eight surgeries all legal oxycontin and I had a career was a firefighter and doing great in life and then it all went away because of drugs. I'll find a way to get better that's for sure and either way I'm not afraid of being homeless if I can't find a job as long as I'm not on drugs. God bless you 🙏

Ofc she looks great after 2 weeks off drugs. But she's straight back on very high doses immediately and its obvious. She will die if she doesn't get sober and that is tragic. The knowledge she has and shares about EVERYTHING is a coping mechanism. When she’s talking about pop culture, she isn’t having to talk about herself. I keep hoping…she would be fantastic at anything she wanted to do.
Sometimes, it can be incredibly painful to look within, especially if you believe all the negative things that were drilled in by your first abusers. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be beneficial for her to do so. In fact, it may be exactly what she needs. Fear can rule us if we allow it to.
I think that's why she's high.. it hurts too much to look within. Shame is a huge part of addiction.
I have NEVER rooted harder for a stranger to get better and turn their life around! U can tell how loving and beautiful her soul is and my goodness how smart! I feel like it sends mixed signals to Rebecca when you tell her to get sober but then compliment that you love “this Rebecca” after she’s confirmed she’s high.
I get the feeling that Rebecca feels like she’s her best self when she has a positive high. It’s like that the weeknd song, “when I’m fucked up, that’s the real me”. I get the feeling that Rebecca feels like she can relax and be her most charismatic when she has something to take the edge off.
A lot of addicts fear becoming sober because they’re afraid they’ll lose their “fun side” or “spark of creativity”.
I just worry that the positive reinforcement for her high self is keeping Rebecca from recognizing the worst parts of the other coin of her high self.

I worry that this positive reinforcement sends the wrong signal to Rebecca. It’d be hard for her not to think, “see, drugs aren’t the problem because people like the high version of me”. Especially when she’s in active addiction and looking for any reason to not stop using.

Trauma can have quite an effect on the human brain, especially if trauma happened to a child's (still) developing brain. I always hold out hope Rebecca gets clean, therapy, stable, successful & happy. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever see the day, but I still live in hope🤞🙂

Good point. I used to joke that I lived in my own little world but that it was OK because they liked me there. My issue isn't drugs, it's what doctors have labeled as "religiously obsessed" which lines up with my diagnoses by a number of top Neurologist in the US of TLE, Temportal Lobe Epilepsy. I do and will have to take anti-convulsive medication for the rest of my life. God's grace is sufficient for me. And yes, I prayed fervently for healing, but as I just wrote, God's grace is sufficient for me.

She didn’t go there to give up getting high. She went because she tried to take her own life. A lot of people who deal with addiction but cannot/do not get help for their mental health won’t stop the drugs. From a 24 yr old recovering addict who also deals w mental health I never would of gotten help if I didn’t accept and learn to navigate through my thoughts. I am not saying she went and took advantage of the help offered nor am I making excuses for anyone. But she has to be ready and willing… and when you deal with your own demons the idea of “well nobody cares so why should I care why should I get help why should I stay clean” is louder than almost all of our comments. Rebecca is alive and after the last video girl (I don’t know if you’ve seen it) but this is a turnaround regardless… not the time

Just wanted to share that as someone who has had depression and anxiety for 30 years, TMS did not work for me. I did full treatment and at the highest dose required. I never missed a single treatment. It did not work.

When she says she’s ready to get better it comes across as the drugs giving her an exaggerated sense of optimism/confidence. It doesn’t feel real - feels more like a fleeting emotion that will soon get swallowed up by her darkness. All of her personalities, good and bad, are simply an extension of her drug abuse and I fear there is no more authentic Rebecca - or have we ever even met her?
They are all parts of her. We all have the good, bad and expressive thoughts/actions. They’re just exacerbated. Idk how many addicts you have been around but despite the chaos, they aren’t all carbon copies of each other. It’s not like she’s not real just because she’s on drugs. Parts of everything we have seen are part of her.

I think she just wants love and acceptance. She mentioned in the video the rejection she faced in Egypt for wearing a dress and being with a man. She’s probably faced a lot of rejection in her life due to her identity, and now that she has fans, it probably touches on that childhood wound and fuels the cycle.

The fact you are calling a man "she" tells me you're part of the problem HE is mentally fucked!
We say this because if you watch her last video she was about ready to 💀 herself right there on camera. She had not a care in the word and was clearly afraid to even be existing in the world.
@@bunnytrailss I have watched her, but this to me seems more like masked trauma. When the high wears off it will not be pretty. I really hope she goes for the help she definitely needs.
Yep & this is half of why masking your trauma with drugs causes trauma on top of trauma so that when and IF you decide you wanna go it sober the trauma, all of it you've been stuffing down comes up and you have nothing to dull the extreme guilt, self hatred, shame, etc
I'm 10 years sober and the hardest thing was the mental health.
I had over a decade long opioid habit.

@@charrua59interesting point. He spent a lot of time in the UK too. Idk if he just adapts easily or what. I moved from Canada to California in 1995. By 1997 my accent was gone. I was only 17 though so idk if that played into it. You’d never know I was Canadian today lol

Rebecca just doesn't quit. Just when I think she's about to be over she comes back with a burst of energy. I haven't watched this yet, but I really hope she experienced a breakthrough and will clean up

I’m a fent/h addict. So I understand addicts from a personal level. I understand what she’s going thru. I also understand that you can’t force someone to quit when they don’t want to. I’m still going thru a lot bc I don’t want to quit yet. Withdrawing is the WORST. I’m scared to go thru it again. I quit once before and I’m scared to go thru the sickness again bc I have never been tortured so bad like that before. I’m terrified but I’ll get through it soon. I’m just not ready yet. I pray Rebecca gets better before it’s too late I love her. ❤
The path to giving up drugs is so personal. No one can make a person stop. Its a feeling inside that starts as a small thought and grows into a constant feeling. The problem is that all addicts underestimate their strength. We feel hopeless & think we are a slave to the drug of choice. The hard truth is we either rise up & accept we are stronger than we think or we die
