    This upgraded 200 Series Grand Auditorium delivers the clarity and balance that makes our best-selling body shape a hit with guitarists from all genres and styles. The narrow-waisted, inviting frame sits comfortably in your lap while seated, while a slightly narrower nut width of 1-11/16” makes it easy to fret chords and notes, even for beginners. Tonally, layered rosewood back and sides pair beautifully with a solid Sitka spruce top for room-filling projection and a versatile sonic profile that performs beautifully across musical settings. This upgraded Plus model features black binding and a full-body gloss finish, along with a Venetian cutaway, 4mm Dot inlays, and ES2 electronics for plug-and-play amplified sound. It ships in a new Aerocase™ designed for lightweight, sturdy protection for your guitar wherever you take it.

    This guitar sounds GREAT! Wow! I use it for a lot of chord playing at church, and this seems like it'll work wonderfully! I'm going to order soon! Thanks for the demo!

    Specifically, when Taylor uses the term “layered”, it is laminate, but there are around 5 layers of wood.
    The two outer woods are veneers of the advertised wood. (Example Koa, Rosewood etc)
    The 3 inner layers are a different wood, usually Sapele or African Mahogany (Khaya).
    The tonal properties won’t really be affected since the laminated wood layers are very thick, but the 1st and 5th layers will at least Look nice since they are genuine wood grain.

      Three layers according to Taylor’s website. The center (and thickest) layer is poplar, the veneer facing the inside is usually (but not always) Sapele, and, of course, the outside veneer has several different options.

    Enjoyed your video/playing,,i have the same Taylor in the dark sunburst,something to mention is that the guitar's neck is slightly narrower than the rest of the line.

    You make the same facial expressions I make when I play this same guitar. Love it!!! I lowered the action just by a bit on mine. The new aero case is just a plus as well as I'm not really a big fan of hard shell cases (just too damn heavy). You're playing is great...you just got yourself a new subscriber. Thanks for the demo on this gem.

    Nice feel you have with your playing.I am really close to buying one of these guitars I have nice electric guitars for my classic rock but I do need a nice acoustic.
    By the way making faces when you play is playing from your heart and it adds intensity.
    The great Paul Gilbert says if you don't make faces when you then it's like eating food and tasting it

    Sounds great, thanks for the reviews! I really enjoy your playing! I have ordered the Taylor 214ce standard now I’m wondering if I should pay the $300 US to upgrade to the Plus. The shiny finish doesn’t concern me but the Aerocase sounds interesting. Do you think the case is worth the increase? Thanks :)

    • @TheGuitarSpaSingapore
      @TheGuitarSpaSingapore  4 роки тому +1

      ITS EITHER THIS AS THE RESALE VALUE IS HIGH AND ALSO THE BRAND IS EASY TO SELL OR GET THE YAMAHA LL16 NOW ON SALE AT S$799.00 SALE IN SINGAPORE..

    • @zunif

      I would personally recommend Eastman. Their guitars like the e6d,e8d,e10d, or e20d are real bang for your buck as they hold their own against high end Martins at a fraction of the price.

    • @simiscorpio
      @simiscorpio 4 роки тому +1

      Even the Eastman E1OM (all solid wood) with a fishman matrix pick-up will blow away this Taylor.

    • @zunif
      @zunif 4 роки тому

      simiscorpio Not surprised at all. My Eastman e20d (Adirondack spruce top and rosewood back/sides) surpasses my dads Martin d28 in tone and volume. Only had it for 8 years and the top really has opened up.
