good job. You sound like you have years of broadcasting experience. nice caravan too . im trying one out of coroplast using chuck felton's cardboard design.🛩
Thanks Fitz! I always appreciate your reviews and was looking for a comprehensive review of this Caravan. I, yet again, am NOT disappointed. Fantastic work, as always!
G’day and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 your videos are very good, just as a matter of interest what would you say is your favourite model in terms of ease of construction and looks, finish and flying? I like your videos your articulate and easy to hear. Thanks for filming what you are doing it brings back memories when I was 16 and building and flying I’m now 66 but I still like watching them, thank you regards John
Did you use the supplied fuel tank? I have just finished and test flown mine in the same scheme. I felt the tank was too big and fitted a 360mL one instead. DLE35RA with 17x8x3 prop.
I have the 35RA in mine with a 17x8x3 prop. Plenty of go power. Very steady in the air. Only thing to look out for is it gets mushy at low speed. Long wing, but small ailerons. Otherwise a very predictable model.
Excellent video, I do enjoy your work and your reviews. Could the brace on the nose wheel been shortened to allow for a little more travel of the strut? I also wondered what your thoughts were on the brass hinges. I think I would have tried to find something a little realistic than the hinges that came with the kit, they looked like they could have come from Home Depot. I'm looking forward to the flight video. Keep up the great work!
Hi Fitz, thanks for posting the review. I have been looking at this model to add to my hangar as a electric float conversion. I can't seem to find a uploaded manual yet on the web pages for the Caravan. Question: 1)Could you advise from your manual the manufacturers suggested electric motor, esc and battery setup. 2) The suggested access hatches for the batteries. (I would think cargo doors but was wondering how easy it is to change batteries) Thanks again for your review, looking forward to the maiden. Randy...Canada
Nice video. You do show the completed model on a cg balancer, but never discuss how much weight, if any was needed to balance. Can you respond to that. Thanks
Maybe this is relatively common but I feel like this particular build required you to do a lot of modifications / fixing because things were either misaligned or had incorrect sizing (bolts, cover, wiring etc). Are these issues you enjoy encountering & solving? Eternally frustrating? Somewhere in the middle?
@@HobbyView You're at a very advanced level. My suggestion would be to create some videos that introduce people to the hobby in a easy to understand way. This will bring in younger viewers and that's the main demographic on youtube. That is, if you have an interest. Your knowledge needs to be shared!
Been looking at this one for a while Fitz. And now I have an excuse to buy those machinists blocks... Why don't I just send you my credit card, and you order me what you figure I'll like!?! 😁
Very nice video...Have you ever thought about building models as a side-hustle? (If so, I might be interested in one of these, depending on the total shekel cost of course!) 😁
I didn’t see anything that needed fiddling to the point where I would take it off a buy list. At the end of the day we’re modelers and this is a hobby. Your not going to get assembly line precision. While I have not built a seagull model I have assembled others built in the Far East and first page of the model has a disclaimer stating that while all parts are cut on the same machine every piece of wood is unique and every model is an individual so there may be some variation in fitment. Wing struts or chrome plating on a wire would hardly make me jump up and down in a temper tantrum. I’ve spent more time fiddling with fit up and alignment in kits out of the box
Another typical Seagull model. Parts don’t fit correctly, misshapen, or wrong. If it were free it would be worth building one, but not worth the aggravation for the $$$. You’d think after all these years they could make a plane that fits out of the box. 🤷🏻♂️
Your editing and voice add sooo much to the presentation, thanks for doing these.
It is great to see another video from you Fitz. What a great build!
Is he the owner of, or sponsored by, Legend Hobby? He's 'reviewed' around 15 planes from them.
Whoop! Excited to have new Hobby View for my lunch viewing pleasure.
Ive watched this video three times in the last two days and im this close👌 to buying one. Great video
I don’t even fly planes, but I loved the video. You are a great instructor. Awesome plane. Would love to learn this hobby, from you.
Great job for all the added detail installs!!!!
good job. You sound like you have years of broadcasting experience. nice caravan too . im trying one out of coroplast using chuck felton's cardboard design.🛩
Nice build video. Couldn't you shorten the strut to allow more front suspension travel. May also give more clearance around the pod
Very attractive model. Thanks for sharing and Hello from Little New Zealand

Very nice assembly of a custom job done so expertly...!

Happy to see a build video!
Another superb video and a very impressive airplane.

That's a beautiful plane, excellent build video, would have liked a bit longer of a tour of the finished product, so much to take in.
Sorry about that. In fact I just realized I somehow forgot to show the installation of the antennas...
@@HobbyView All good, I really enjoy your content, your one of my favorite rc channels

Yes i did. If i recall, tank is pretty close to the CG.
I just purchased a DLE35ra. Looking for a aircraft I like to put it into. Perhaps this is the ticket. This will be my first ARF.

@@antsisley8513 thank you for your response. I was just looking for a 3 blade. Awesome 😎 👍
I fly at 4500 ft altitude. I hear altitude can make a difference.... I dunno I'm kinda new to this.

Yea, not the best solution. But you could paint the hinges or put you own mounted on the inside, maybe.
Gorgeous airplane! You make it look so easy.
Great video Fitz! Can’t wait to see it fly. Who makes that cool little chop saw you used?
I would love the turbo prop version 😎
Thank you for another good video!
The only thing I miss on that model (and the VQ version) is the 3 or 4 bladed prop.
As soon you jumped up and said "Hi Kids" I subbed
Charasma right there

great video great explanation
Woohoo !! Now were cooking with oil... Awesome review.
What light controller are you using? Also Merry Christmas.
Nice video. You do show the completed model on a cg balancer, but never discuss how much weight, if any was needed to balance. Can you respond to that. Thanks
From what I recall, no weight was needed to balance it (it has a rather long nose).
Are you going to maiden that at Scobee airfield?
Maybe this is relatively common but I feel like this particular build required you to do a lot of modifications / fixing because things were either misaligned or had incorrect sizing (bolts, cover, wiring etc). Great looking model
How you don't have a million subscribers is a mystery to me.
Maybe the question is, 'how do I get to a million subscribers?'

I wonder if my dle 35ra would work well for this caravan at 4700 ft above sea level...? Or if it will be under powered. I really want one.
Should be fine.

Very nice cargovan, but its to tall the Cessna is lower. It looks like a bush plane.
Pant the pilot's Black.......
Hmmm, needs a turbo prop to stay true. hint hint.
