I have often wondered if GM still had the casting molds for the V16. They could start making them again with modern fuel injection and electronics. I think it would be really great.
They were 2 inline 8's sharing a common crank if a new one was made they would probably end up making a true v16 as a single block to make it easier to engineer and maintain all the way around.
Hi Steve this Dave Beveridge. I just sent your video to Clay Foley you know my friend in Mississauga that has the 56 Cadillac Imperial limousine. She likes to see videos of Cadillacs and you got a beautiful 1934 Cadillac the one that I did on a t-shirt for you which you probably don't wear. It would be nice if you did but hey each to their own anyways I just wanted to comment on your video it's fantastic beautiful car that you own and well we'll see you next year at your cruise night. Unfortunately you don't have your Fleetwood Cruise in. But clay we're thinking of bringing are Cadillacs to your cruise night on Thursday sometime in June next year 2020. I hope you enjoy the V16 watches that I gave you they're not expensive okay but I got them for you cuz well you're the only guy I know that has a Cadillac V16 or a few of them take care Steve bye-bye.
DesertDigger1 couldn't agree more. I've got a mint condition 1960 Kirby that out performs my brand new Dyson. Now, while it is a 60 model year, the basic design was straight out of the late 30s. Beautiful.
What a joke. These new Cadillacs are nothing compared to the class and size of the 30s-70s models. Cadillacs were meant to be status symbols, not European knockoffs. Cadillac has fallen.
I completely understand the rarity and exclusivity of this v16 coupe, but I have to say it doesn't really appeal to me in terms of beauty. There are many other examples of the v16 that I find more pleasing to look at.
the v16 series 90 was the car for industry titans, dukes, and maharajahs, and cost serious money as befitting as the standard of the world. The ATS and Cadillac in general, just a nice bland daily driver, and maybe the Escalade for thugs...
No way on earth there's any way you could compare these two cars. One is truly the standard of the world. The other is a tiny econo box wanna be.
We all know which one will still be running in 20 years.

Biden would crap himself.
One is a top end exotic and the other is a mass market car. They were built for different groups of customers.
WHY IS THERE MUSIC PLAYING UNDER THIS EXCELLENT NARRATION !!!!
Joan Crawford had a custom 1933 V16 limo. She sold it not long after to buy the 34 or 35 that she could drive herself but ultimately got a roadster.

new is good. But Old forever
Nothing compares like the 1930's design of anything built. Even my 1937 Hibbards Cruiser pull wagon has class.

Well, the 'Standard of the World' got a whole lot smaller.
i thought it was going to be a drag race
a V16 ????....holy fuck !!!!
0:22 you said it was the largest auto produced ive seen Pierce Arrows of this era much larger 152" wheelbase
You got that right!

@@Jonscomin2 L for Cadillac.

USED standard of the world.
One is junk and one isn't. Take a guess which... Nobody wants a Cadillac anymore.
Why do today's vehicles look like shit?
