- We started the video with Spearmen... who promptly disappeared when it came time to build them.
I have no idea where I put them, and seeing how this was put together right before I left for vacation... well, we'll have to unearth the spearmen upon my return!
The auxiliaries aren't a bad kit though! In fact, they're pretty nice and could find their way into a lot of gaming uses.

Taking them off the integrated bases is great. You can easily mount them on clear bases much better now.
I love these kits the minis are really versatile and combined with Frostgrave , Victrix and Oathmark miniatures the opportunities for conversions are endless. I really like the Dark Age/Early Medieval aesthetic.
Yeah, for someone who had relatively little interest in that time period, these kits have definitely won me over!
Good to see how these kits look and come together. Been on the fence on buying some FF Byzantine kits, but I'm thinking I'll go ahead and get a box or two, now. :)
I just got a box of these guys (along with some Byzantine Spearmen and Cataphracts) to act as Imperial troops in my D&D game. I'm excited to do some kit-bashing with all of the other bits I have laying around.
I am planning on doing the same, especially once I find where I put those Spearmen sprues!
What is it with Fireforge and oddly short bent arms? Are they trying to save money on plastic?

I'd say Fireforge has continued to improve with each release, which makes me very excited for when their samurai hit retail!
they are nice, sadly not in conquest size would love to kit bash some with old dominion...
We were having a similar discussion about the two lines working together. We came up with the idea these are the human counterparts to the Old Dominion's careless empowerment through dark sorcery to explain the size difference.
