- Montreal-based brand, Dime, released their collaboration with Asics, with this beautiful take on the 2011 running shoe, the GT-2160. This pair features a mix of cream mesh and synthetic leather layers, with gradient finishes on both the mesh upper and midsole. Fashion may be fickle, but this is one comfortable shoe for all day casual wear. Great to see real world common sense coming back to sneakerhead preferences.

I’m in love w these, Dime hit a grand slam w these. The cream color always hits, and the brown to white gradient midsole is a nice added touch. Hit my pair today and I’m excited to break em out tomorrow
The gradients on this shoe are so sick - I love that the upper is light at the toe and dark at the heel, then the effect is flipped for the midsole.
Color choices are on point too. It feels like the brown/tan gradient midsole acts like a modernized stand in for the cream/sail midsole we see so often. It’s a perfect choice for a 2010’s runner.
I’m really excited for these, DIME killed it. I’ve never tried to cop an ASICS shoe other than a GEL-LYTE 3, so I hope I got my size right.

I’m happy you reviewed this shoe I had my eye on it as soon as I saw them but before I purchased I wanted to hear about sizing I have that slightly wide foot like you where it’s not quite wide but not narrow either and some asics squeeze my toe box so I wanted to be sure they look very light that was my first thought when I saw them.

I like it. Didn’t bother online. Don’t have a bot to hit livestock or ASICS. Not enough to pay resale. I’ll have to admire from afar haha
solid visuals Sean. rate gradient effect + colour-blocking. sadly synthentic overlays are tragic - 2-season trainer prone to cracks + bacon-ripple w/ wear + elements. for a collab pair, DIME deserved better materials esp compared to afew, HAL, KITH, solebox pairs. hard to justify when many 1130, 2160, GT, Kayano, Nimbus, Gel-Lyte GR models feature far superior materials...

These are not wide food friendly. I have a average foot or even slightly narrower.( measured well for ski boots) this shoe is narrow for sure. A lot of other people complaining on forums about it as well.
ASICS typically tend to run on the smaller side and when these originally came out they were more catered to runners with narrow feet which is why I tell many people to go for a half size bigger.
ASICS is the new hype, ASICS shoes are built to be worn, meanwhile Nike shoes are built for juggling between resellers just for 1 or 5 dollars profit, and nobody buying Nike now.
Nikes are meant to be worn too. But y’all are only concerned about their brick status. Kids these days move different.
