I was drinking a fifth of liquor a day, last summer. Starting taking Kratom. Got sick from mixing the two. Stopped drinking alcohol. Got to about 15 grams in the morning and 15 grams in the evening. Got sick without the Kratom. Decided to stop taking Kratom cold turkey and got sick for about 3 days straight and finished off the week pretty sluggish. 7 months clean from drowning myself in liquor, 2 years cigarette free, and 2 weeks without Kratom.. That being said, I would like to say that the Kratom journey was worth it (withdrawal included), and probably saved my life!
I was a hardcore binge drinker. I quit by going to rehab and use Kratom when i get the craving for a drink. Keeping the doses low but high enough to get the opiate-like effects gives me that feeling I sought from a fifth of vodka. So much safer and doesn't make one act stupid and crazy like alcohol does. Still finding a happy medium with it, but I'm glad I discovered kratom definitely. It deserves to be legal and it should be respected for its potency.
Exact same story as mine. 18-31 severe party alcoholic. Then kratom for 4 years straight. I’m so over feeling numb and losing my hair and libido. So I’m on day two of no ktm right now and the restless legs is the worse cuz I can’t sleep but I started taking nootropics to help support brain repair-dopamine, seratonin, and GABA balancing. So the withdrawals haven’t been so bad because of them
@@Kimzielynn taper slowly. Say if you have 3 teaspoons a day, cut one of those doses in half so you have 2 1/2 teaspoons the next couple days. Then have a few days of 2 teaspoons. Then continue until you are no longer using it. Tapering gets rid of most withdrawal effects. I was on 3 teaspoons a day and down to 2 so far in 2 days.gonna take a break to lower tolerance, and then only use it when really stressed or have an alcohol craving.
@@samhain183 yea if its quality its very helpful if its the leaf and it keeps cravings away as well. I could care less about heroin these days, which is a miracle after being on and off for 20 years.
How much did you take daily ? And how did you start taking it ? Like did you wait till you started kicking or did start taking it when you were coming off the black ?
I’m on day 4 without it. Watching this video is the first time I don’t feel completely alone and crazy dealing with this. Withdrawals have been SO shitty and it’s been mental and the physical withdrawals. Almost all of the symptoms you mentioned. Motivation went to zero, I’ve had joint pain (and I’m 22!!). Cravings are still bad. My daily use had gotten even worse than what was mentioned in this video. Thank you for making this. I’m not anti kratom but it was starting to consume more of my life than I’d like it to. I have an extremely supportive partner who is getting me through it so I’m really grateful. Anyways, if you’re trying to quit daily use too you got this!! Hopefully we both do!!
@@dp9769 I am happy for you. 🙂👍 You have my respect! You know what helps? DXM helps. If you take it it shouldn't have any other active ingredient in it besides DXM! 90mg should be the starting dose. But only take it if you can't handle the withdrawals. I am still a slave to this plant and I spendig a lot of money for it without even having an effect. 🙄 I wish you the best! 🙂❤️
You still off it? How long did the withdrawal symptoms last? I’m on day four now and I have no mental withdrawal but the physical withdrawal is fucking me up.
I personally have not used it to kick mdone, but have used it to kick other things. I know many who have used it for mdone, as well. Kratom use can be very okay long-term to treat chronic pain. I tapered regularly, and would use less than necessary on days I was not needing to function for work. Agmatine also helps a bunch to keep tolerance low.
I’m an alcoholic, I started taking Kratom to ease the urge to drink. It has helped me significantly to reduce my alcohol in take especially in the evenings when I’m used to having a drink. Kratom and CBD have helped me so much and I can’t thank educational channels like this one. I was drinking hard for years now I m able to get up early and exercise eat right and carry on daily activities without being hung over or drunk .
Gary Vallone go easy if you want to detox from booze.... alcohol withdrawals can kill you. Withdrawing off opiates is no picnic, but it won’t kill you like alcohol. I feel for you, not a fun place to be. Hope you get through it ok.
Good, it's the lesser of two evils for you. But try not consuming kratom, and see how your life goes. You are now dependent on kratom, and if that makes your life positive and healthy other then the dependency factor - then good for you. Some people require a medication, and if it's natural, all the better! It's ok to admit we need a medication to help us in life.
If you want to "reverse" the negative effects, benadryl will do this. Unfortunately this also means one can take Kratom over and over again and not get sick. Take Kratom, then take a few benadryl, and an hour'ish later all the bad effects caused by too much kratom will go away. Careful with the benadryl though, too much can also be extremely unpleasant for a good 10 to 30 minutes. Fortunately, if you do overdose on benadryl, taking Kratom will "totally" fix this lol
Matt Ruiz Photo Can you link to the study? All drugs of addiction don’t necessarily light up the same parts of the brain in the same way. The addictive pathways might be different than other opioids. (It is a unique substance.) Plus beyond the positive “reward” aspects of addiction there are negative aspects that promote substance use due to withdrawals. RLS, stomach discomfort, explosive diarrhea, etc. Not discounting the point. I’d need to check out the study. I’d be really interested to read it. Thanks!
It is a medecine to quit drugs and alcool. If you use it for other stuffs it is not going to work. It actually can mess you up if not use for the right pathology. You can't not know what you'r doing when it comes to natural medecine, it's not because it's natural that you don't have to study it before using it.
Very addicted to it right now. Can’t seem to function without been on it damn near every day for almost 3 years. Joining the navy now to change my life in November. I’ve stopped a few times cold turkey. Absolutely useless. Cannot work horrible restless legs. Tampering down now
Astonstands4awesome…I was taking up to 40 grams a day for years. Here’s what I did and I’ve had very minimal withdrawals. I switched to pills and recorded exactly how many I was taking a day. I took away 1 pill a day from one of my doses. I went from 40 grams a day and now I’m down to 6. I’ll be done pretty soon. The only symptoms ive noticed is a little bit of muscle aches and I’m a little tired. But it hasn’t been bad at all. I recommend trying it out.
I am a chronic pain patient. Was put on opiates (big doses) for years. I now take Kratom instead. If I HAVE to treat my pain I find it’s side effects easier to deal with than opiates.
The Red 27 Motorsport Archive actually cold causes huge flares in my condition lol a cold bath would be revolver in the mouth time. I have what’s called a “suicide disease” bc pain can get that bad
i feel your pain i have a weird chronic shoulder pain(that only activates the last 6 hours of the day) and kratom makes life so much more tolerable with it but lately i have been abusing it by taking a half dose as a preworkout to help my body push past its limits which i should probably phase out
oh and certain strains i have tested give next to no euphoria and little mood shift but an excellent amount of pain relief (Elephant, gold bali, and to a lesser degree red bali)
Coming from someone who was addicted to heroin and methadone for 15 years, the withdrawals from kratom are nothing. A walk in the park, I'd take having no energy any day compared to that. I've taken kratom daily for over a year and have never had to up my dose. In my case it keeps me away from the harder shit and I'm not playing Russian roulette with my life multiple times a day. I have my life back because of kratom.
to be honest Oxycodone withdrawal was always a lot less noticable than Codeine for me... maybe i overproduce morphine via CYP450 or whatever its called.. i say that to say this; everyones body is different. and im talking 300mg codeine daily vses 230-250mg oxycodone daily, oxy is 5x more potent Mg for Mg than Codeine. So, we are all going to react different to shit
Brianna Wood Yep. It's sure helped me stop what would have been a lethal-within-five-years drinking habit. I'm glad it was basically acknowledged at the end of this video that serious addicts might roll their eyes at this, because that was kind of my reaction. Haha
@C. Michael lmao, he didn't make the intro to avoid getting it banned. He made it so they did not demonotize it, which youtube does quite a lot for all creators I hear
Kratom literally saved my life. As well as many others. Grown adults should be able to use whatever substance they want as long as they don't push it on others. The government needs to back off. People can make their own decisons.
This is true but you should not suggest to others that something isn't addictive when it is. Not saying you do this, but that tends to be the controversy with kratom
forcing yourself to exercise, maybe after drinking some good coffee in the morning and doing a cold shower or a contrast shower once or twice a day will help a lot with the withdrawals, as well as eating super clean
yep, i can relate. and taking zinc, magnesium and other vitamins helps a lot. ive also tried to microdose shrooms and my withdrawals and cravings were a lot lower.
Avoiding sugar, caffeine, tobacco & all other addictive substances during withdrawl will help you get through it & actually heal a lot faster, can make the whole process a lot less uncomfortable, unless you're heavily addicted to those things too. Any substance that triggers a heavy dopamine release is going to slow down the process of withdrawal & recovery. It doesn't mean don't use these things forever. Just during recovery.

Shaun Holden I was dosing 2 times a day on average. I will say, I was a heavy user and my dose was not small. I slowly weaned myself off lowering my dose, I am not saying I did not have any withdrawals at all but they were very mild in comparison to what a full-blown withdrawal was without it. Hope this helps
Good work man! To kick that is a win and im happy kratom did help you. I use it for depression and it works better than what my doctor gave me. Insomnia i cure with glycine amino acid!
I used kratom for more than 2 years, my daily dose was somewhere around 50-60 g, couse of the tolerance build up. Everytime i tried to stop a thought i was gonna die, it was the worst battle of my life. I am posting this comments now from rehab center as i decided its time to take my life back. One week in without a single dose and i am feeling lot better. They tried to put me on Suboxone but i declined so it was a little hellish but overall i feel like myself again for the first time in 2 years. I wish luck to every soul trying to quit an addiction, its always in you and every one can do it!
Some people may have had bad experiences w/ kratom. The truth of that shouldn't be covered up. But the big picture is that it's saving lives, and the govt and FDA are trying hard to criminalize it b/c it's costing them money. That shouldn't be covered up either, or minimized just b/c there are risks involved. And it DOES NOT need to be restricted or controlled, b/c THEN it would be unattainable and used for profit. We are all adults and we need to be held responsible for our decisions, and that includes being educated and not be naive about the risks.
it got me off tramadol and morphine when i snapped my femur in a million pieces. it took all the pain away of the withdrawals. now im completely sober apart from the occasional hash doobie
I'm currently on literally 1mg of suboxone a day and I can't get off of it, it's so hard, do you think kratom could help me through at least the withdrawals so I won't have to be on anything anymore. I was addicted to heroin for 4 years and have been clean almost a year but with suboxone maintenance and I can't stand the side effects anymore. I've never tried kratom before I'm just not sure and haven't found any consistent info online yet
wish i could answer your question with 100% certainty but i think kratom should help with sub withdrawls aswell. Its very helpful with opiate withdrawl many people say so id give it a shot. And congrats with 1 year sober man! 4 years is a long time. Good shit and keep it up!
I've been tapering down slowly as my last kilo depletes. For the past several months I've been supplementing my brain with 5-HTP, L-Tyrosine, and GABA in order to hopefully wire my brain correctly once I do quit. I can say, when I go twelve hours without Kratom, it's not so much my mood that drops or anything, it's just that physical gross vibration and empty stomach feeling that makes me feel like I need more Kratom. Best of luck to y'all.
N0Fap truly helps. You produce more Endorphines, also Dopamine, naturally. Believe it or not. I don't crave any substance on streaks. I just feel complete.
I'd say I'm fairly addicted. Take a few grams at a time, several times per day. I was on heavy painkillers for many years, and I have found the Kratom much safer, and easier to access. Literally saved my life
If it is still is working as intended then that's awesome man. I was on the stuff every day for about 6 months green vein. But then I noticed I started to have some strange paranoia if I didn't have it. And eventually even while dosing I could never get to that blissful feeling anymore just made me feel crazy and even lathargic after awhile. But that's what happened to me. I have no doubt that it has some really positive potential if done right
@Captain Fantastic Honestly after day 2 of zero dosing I started to feel like i didn't NEED it anymore. My libido was shot too, that was a major concern for me. But it too came back after like another two weeks and I have not touched it since. It's still lingers in my mind cause it's so easy to turn a shit day into something lively and colorful for like 8$. But the real trick is to make that stuff happen without substance.
@Captain Fantastic if that's what you feel you need to do man then alright. But listen to your body for awhile like it's needs. We all dose for different reasons. Some good some not. But if your reason is negative I would recommend slowing down and stopping. Life blows. Like it really does but that doesn't mean you have to feel like ass all the time. Sometimes you really just gotta be sober and take a good hard look at some ugly things hiding in the closet. Don't clean out the whole thing, just pick one. And it's up to you how to deal with it, but of you do it in a positive manor I promise you will see some strength not too far ahead of you. And just acknowlging the presence of it will make you feel good, but you have to use that feeling like a natural high or boost to keep pushing you forward. Things will get tougher I'm not going to lie but the feeling that you prevailed over what looked overwhelming and impossible can't be matched by any drugs.
I love Kratom and it saved my life. That said, I got seriously hooked on it. Getting off of it was very difficult. There are always trade offs in life.
Yep bcs they take heroin before so that it helped them, you probably didn't take opiates so it seems like a nightmare to you, but having a withdrawals from opiates is even worse
Yep. Anything that gives you a head change can be addictive. If you live with acute or chronic severe pain the trade off is a no brainer compared to opiates.
This is the most important point. Just because it has withdrawals does not mean it's a terrible drug that should be illegal. It's an incredibly safe drug to use in moderation, and extremely effective in helping people get off harder opiates.
can I ask how old is she? your daughter? cause that seem pretty hard to draw for anyone under six.. I quit kratom a month ago for the second time. This time I got rid of all the stored up kratom I had in the house. I noticed even though the kratom helped me with some pain, I ended up with more pain in other parts of my body. If it works for you great, but my withdrawals lasted 2 weeks. I don't want to be a slave to a substance. I'm glad I made it through. God bless!!
Day 7 (CT)...thank god you included that bit about taking 18 days to feel right again. Hey I’m off Kratom for about 20days right now. After taking everyday for 15months. The last 7 months I was taking extracts, MIT 45 white indo Boost. Only 2 to 4 pills a day. Then I tryed OMPS gold and black for bout 4 weeks which totally rocked my mind. Kratom was ruining my life. I tapered down for 2 weeks and I’m on a array to supplements now being 20 days in. CBD, GABA, Calm magnesium. And some others which help. I had direha for 3 weeks. I do a lotta running 10 to 15 miles a week which helps but not much. Like someone said in the earlier comment it comes in waves about being unmotivated. Some days are better then others. Kratom Sucks I don’t recommend it
I take 21-24 grams a day and I run 7 miles a day 5-6 days a week. Kratom helped me lose 75 lbs after I had my baby last year. I have no sexual side effects. I think Kratom affects everyone differently.
@@uribheidi Saw the Vice channel video of some guy interviewing this Thai cat. Apparently these folks keep a pocket full of leaves and just chew them all day long. Like some dude dipping snoose. I had chronic back pain, had to take the pain pills every four hours for years. Kratom got me clear of that, but believe me; it just puts the withdrawal on hold. I finally stopped cold after a couple of months. Don't want to do that again....
@@uribheidi That depends. Duration of addiction, type of opiate, plus individual brain chemistry and architecture. I had been on different types of pain meds for years. Bulging discs, lower back. Had to be able to work, so I took the meds. Had to do the contract with the doctor, all that. Periodically I would get fed up, and quit. Methadone was the worst. When I started the Kratom, I was on morphine. Took the Kratom for two months and I decided to go cold turkey. Two weeks of hell. First week I felt like I was burning up. Like my temperature was 150°. It wasn't but I felt it anyway. Brain gets messed up, the normal receptors for pain, temperature, taste, smell... Different for everybody, I guess. One thing I did notice,.was that the red, green, and white have different effects. I was on the red when I quit. The red alkyloids are more like the opiates, the green, less so. The white less still. White is more of a stimulant, green has the stimulant and opiate effect, so if I had it to do again, I would switch from the red to the green, until I got steady with that and then start the white, same, same. Eventually tapering off the white.
Please don't ever say "ok google," in any more videos... thank you. You set off every device in my home, leaving me with several open browser windows, searching "goddammit," as a search term. Lol.

@@boogiemcsploogie Best of luck to you friend, give us an update comment on how your doing. I’ll tell you I’ve come off of it multiple times and the super long half life makes the symptoms drag the whole process out for like the better part of 10 or so days!! I found cold showers and a couple or three drinks on the stronger side (not enough to get drunk just get my insides warm and feel more comfortable and make me drowsy and able to actually get some good rest because if you can get a good amount of sleep, not too much just 8ish hours a night, you will do two things, make the time pass faster and feel a little better because your getting proper rest) really tame down the symptoms enough to be able to get some good sleep at night. If your not a drinker or are scarred you might accidentally replace kratom with alcohol then a good dose of NyQuil before bed after you get warm again from the cold shower will probably work just as good for getting some good sleep but it might not make you feel quite as comfortable, and we all know the WORST part of any/all withdrawals is the feeling of crawling out of your skin, like the itchy but not finding where to scratch, clothes seem to make you hot but then you shed some layers and then get too cold, not able to get comfortable in any sitting or laying position no matter how hard you try, body aches and soreness that doesn’t seem to go away even with the max doses of Motrin or other over the counter stuff, yeh that’s honestly the worst part of it imo but I mean every ones different. That and staying hydrated, drinking lots (again don’t overdue it but it will keep you warm and also give you enough energy to stay motivated throughout the day to accomplish whatever you got goin on) of strong coffee during the day and dressing in layers to shed or add during the day to keep my temp regulated because the hot/cold feelings are pretty uncomfortable as well. Hope you managed to get off it or at least tapered your dose down to a more manageable amount so the future withdrawals aren’t quite as rough. And PLEASE, give us an update comment on how your doing with it, I’d like to know how it’s going and what other methods you might have used to tame the WD symptoms!! All that being said I still use it but VERY SPARINGLY like no more than a couple three four times a week, I can’t handle going through the WDs again, it was just rough on me physically, emotionally and mentally. Hope you read this friend and hope your doing well and not on the kratom anymore or just back to a much smaller more manageable dose, take care!!
After 8 years of cancer treatments, and pain medications....Kratom saved me from being stuck on pain meds, helped me get off of them. I do not abuse Kratom by any means. When used carefully and in moderation it has a purpose. But like most things people will abuse it. It is addictive and can have very negative effects if not taken responsibly.

gabrielle bock All it does is prevent him from giving objective factual information. This was a subjective video where he click baited the safety profile of kratom.
gabrielle bock And he seems to care very much considering he managed to write several paragraph long posts in response to me then never answered most of the responses.
I sort agree with you about the paragraphs long response without answering the direct question. I "tried" to watch one of his videos about Ayahuasca, but it was so rambling and not-really-informative, that I just had to move on. It seemed based on opinion and not really research. But his overall rambling tone was that the viewer should absolutely agree with his warnings. My theory is that he loves to hear himself talk, assumes a high-level of sel-importantance, and wants to be some hero-type. Sorry for all of the hyphens.
I live by kratom, it's meant I can be free of dibilitating pain so I can work and earn, it's suppressed my social anxiety so much so that I've been able to make friends and not feel on-edge around people and also having severe depression it's helped me beyond belief. However I wish I did not need kratom as I do feel less motivated, more tired, and at times fairly dazed, not quite feeling 100% with it but I live by it as I cant live without it, and for that I am grateful for kratom, daily user for 2 years.
@holywater man you gotta switch up the strains each time (besides maybe consistently using red strain for sleep) i get a kilo with four 250 gs of different strains say any white, red, yellow, and green, go through one 250g bag of and then goto the next. keeps the tolerance to each strain fairly manageable and by the time you've cycled back to a strain the tolerance is gone or greatly diminished
Loose Change9 me too man...I was destroying myself with alcohol...until I found kratom...now I'm a reliably productive member of society since turning 21...(I'm 30 now)
Loose Change9 Yeah why is it that schools don't teach alcohol to be just as bad as the hard drugs once addicted. In my opinion alcohol is just as bad as heroin if a person becomes heavily addicted. Obviously some people can just a have a drink once in a while but it's the people who get addicted that struggle just as bad as a herion addict. But hey the government is making a ass ton of money taxing it so it is taught in schools to be more socially acceptable. Just like nicotine actually being the #1 most addictive substance. They didn't teach us that but since the government makes billions it's downplayed in school as just a bad habit that causes cancer. Hopefully one day the government realizes how much more money they can get from taxing weed and then that will be socially acceptable too which we are already seeing in a ton of states.
PsychedSubstance is correct about Kratom. Becareful with it. I quit drinking alcohol, and replaced it with about 8g of Kratum 3 hours before bed. Everynight. After a few months, my stomach couldn't handle it. Horrible pain. However, I lowered the dose to around 4g, and drank a ton of water throughout the day. So far, the negative side effects have gone away. Kratum is a godsend. Just make sure you dose correctly. Thanks for the thumbs up and replies.

Yea I was at 18 grams almost everyday for a year. and the only symptoms to report were insomnia and of course some cravings for relief from my back pain. I had to quit because money problems, times are tough these days.
5 grams is a pretty low dose. I got up to around 30 a day for 6 months. Ran out one day not thinking much of it and wound up in such bad shape there was no way I could be seen outside. It was that bad. Couldnt be still, felt like muscle wanted to tear from bone if I did. Felt like my chest was exploding. Hot and cold, dripping sweat. Emotional rollercoaster. @@psychoticbreaks167justletm4 whoa, thats an absurd amount!!! never heard of a 30 gpd habit. glad you firgured everything out. and yes there are gonna be withdrawals because it hits opiod receptors.
When I watched you mix Kratom tea, I was thinking, "WTF?!". The dose was WAY too much. I take it most work days, but never more than 4 capsules every 3 hours - 3 doses max. Often a dose is only 2 capsules. I get no withdrawals from microdosing and I often skip it for days. Microdosing is the way to go.
I was looking everywhere for someone who doses like me! We have almost the exact same methods. This video made me really concerned but I'm realizing that not many people microdose it like we do.
@@extremelynormalperson I don't want to develop a tolerance or overshoot the effect I'm looking for. I've never understood those with addictive personalities or those who are otherwise undisciplined in how they use kratom.
I genuinely appreciate your videos. Your honesty and point blank but logical approach to things is very refreshing. I can guarantee you have saved many people whether that be from overdose or simply from assuming something is automatically safe simply because its natural.
Yes Kratom comes with its own set of side effects and it should be respected and used in moderation. I’m currently a daily user. I’m tapering to get down to a reasonable dose, I’m currently taking around 20-30gpd. There are in fact negative side effects including thinning hair and weight loss. I love this plant and it helped save me from a crippling alcohol addiction but I swapped one addiction for another. Now I’m attempting to get ahold of my addictive tendencies.
The problem is we know so damn little about mitragynine and 7-hydroxy-mitragynine. From everything ive read, i am pretty convinced our bodies turn it into other active and non active or lesser active opiates and some people get much stronger and more addictive by-products or just react more heavily towards the same by products. I have been using kratom for a year now and i have had times where i would take multiple times up to 18 grams a day and times were i would simply forget taking it, i would feel sleepy and tired without knowing why and i now only assume it to be the kratom but honestly im not really sure because it could be the alcohol which is the only thing i actually crave when quitting a couple days
Kratom contains mitragynine which is a partial mu agonist; the mu receptor is an opioid receptor effectively making kratom an opioid. So kratom is very much like those "pain pills" you stopped taking.
I felt like crying after the 2nd day of quiting, just ultra emotional and sensitive, leg cramps, tired like id taken a sleeping pill, brutal withdrawal.

Same here. I feel like (in my experience!) Kratom sort of sets up a dam on your emotions, good or bad. I used it for chronic pain and it was wonderful not feeling that all the time, but... I never felt too much emotions either. I'd feel a sorta sad here, a little happy there, but I didn't really FEEL it, idk how to describe it. I only quit after a few months because I realized it was numbing my emotions, and like you mentioned, I felt them after the dam got taken down haha. Cried really hard for the first time in a while, but after the w/d I felt happier than I had in those months as well. Good times lol, I'm not advocating against it however, because I know how helpful it can be as well
I’ve been through every addiction from booz, meth, heroine just to name a few and have been clean for 15 years. Being very experienced with withdrawals and dependency I’m very conscious of what substances or even herbs I put into my body. To get to the point after watching your first video and others who support the use of kratom I considered it but with this follow up explanation it’s a hard no. Thanks man for being transparent and honest these are classic symptoms of opiate abuse I absolutely have zero interest of going back down that path!
Dude take it someone who’s currently in the middle of a brutal taper: don’t! I was addicted to pain pills and was sober for about a year before I got into kratom. I believed I could get opiate effects without the downsides, boy was I fucking wrong. Kratom may be physically safer but when it comes to the progression of addiction and withdrawals, it’s all the same shit. You made a good choice dude

It's not really. I understand you like it (or maybe need pain management) but the real way is to develop pain meds or devices that aren't addictive. I have a feeling with the tech and health fields making strides that something is around the corner.
@@redriver6541 it's impossible to create something non addictive, if something will make you feel less pain it will make you feel less existential pain and yeah thats basicly addiction. It's just stupid to use one thing to fight against existential pain, it's way more effective to use Multiple things.
@@redriver6541 As an person with intractable chronic pain, I have done a lot of research on this subject. I wanted to believe that they could just roll something out. They do have a pain medication only available by intrathecal pump and only by a handful of technicians trained to fill them that contain a non-addictive pain medication derived from sea snail venom but it is currently cost prohibitive, not widely available due to having to have a tech trained to handle it and it requires a very invasive surgery to implant the pump. These factors would rule out the majority of pain patients due to cost or risk due to the surgery alone, even if everyone knew how to fill the pumps. Aside from that, we are looking at waiting for them to find a suitable compound that is non-addictive that could be used on the majority of the pain patient population, then another 10 years or so for clinical trials. I am going off of information provided by doctors that asked the same questions about this. Personally, if I had to wait 10+ years to get relief, I'd be dead long before it got here. I've been reduced on my medications to nothing, although I have cardiac issues that are exacerbated by uncontrolled pain and even though I was on them for years, as well as in counseling as a safe guard (my idea) to watch for addiction issues. Never had a dirty UA. Never had any potentially problematic issues signifying addiction or misuse. Because they CAN be addictive, I was set to live the rest of my most probably short life, in terrible pain that will never go away or calm down. When I tried Kratom, tentatively at first, I cried. I freaking bawled my eyes out because I got relief and it gave me back some of what my daily pain levels had stolen from me and what I have been denied due to what MIGHT happen with the medications. Some semblance of having a life. And let me tell you something, that might sound cliche, but until a person loses having any semblance of a life, it is incredibly difficult to imagine the full scope and magnitude of what that really means. For me, it's like being hit, dragged and run over all over again and then set on fire. Every day. That is, if I can manage to sleep or it's all one long day. If they weren't smart enough to give us a non-addictive alternative before yanking the meds, they could at least let us have Kratom until they can provide that. Especially with pain patients opting to commit suicide, having major health events and dying or turning to heroin to look for relief because they left us high and dry. They could at least have the decency to do that.

Everytime I don’t have it and I have to go to work it’s like I have a terminal illness. My back and body aches excruciatingly and I feel sick. It is nearly impossible to work without it.
Honestly his testimony hardly does it justice as to how bad it is. I'm seeking professional outpatient therapy and if that doesn't work I'm literally going to have to go to rehab. This shit should be illegal and I'm not afraid to say it. It's way too available and there's too much misinformation out there and people (such as myself) will make the mistake of underestimating it especially kids like when I started
At my first quit attempt i also couldn't imagine how people would go to work while in withdrawals. However the second time i tried to withdraw was so urgent and there was NO WAY for me to get some days off (as a professional mover). I suceeded and tbh in retrospect i'd say that you will feel horrible anyway, no matter if you can lie in bed or have to do physical labour. At least this is what i figured out for me, there is no 'real' remedy for the withdrawals except time imho. And After returning home i even felt some comfort in just 'sitting' or getting back into my bed. Not sure i could handle it if i'd have to work directly with people though. In this state you just want to not talk to people... ;p So i'd say, you can if you have to. It might be hell, but the fear is worse than the real thing.
Unlike many drugs, kratom is cool because you can cut the dose in half and not feel bad at least in my experience. I typically take 3g twice a day. If I cut that to 1.5g it's no problem. I've done 12g in a day and had no problem cutting back. The trick is not chasing the euphoric effects. That's where you get in trouble.
I have severe OCD, and I started taking this stuff and it's helped me a lot so far. My wife has noticed I am nicer and happier when I take it. I feel happier too.

I have quit several times over the years for a few weeks at a time just to check and see if I was "addicted"- I was really tired and a bit miserable for about 2 days- yeah, 2 days, where I slept a lot.- but because I work a job that requires me to stand for hours at a time, my knees ache, I don't really feel like taking pain killers, my life is better with it.- Honestly, I wouldn't quit during the middle of the work week because my energy levels do plummet, but frankly I'm not seeing a good reason to quit it improves my quality of life. I imagine I could do a full no Kratom, no coffee, no energy drink, no pre work, no medication of any kind for a week as kind of an experiment, but after 6 years I think I would have noticed if Kratom was bad for me
If you want to "reverse" the negative effects, benadryl will do this.

I just tried kratom. I've been going through a tough breakup and the emotional pain was unbearable. I took kratom hoping it would help. Kratom kicked the emotional pain like better than alcohol even. Im really amazed. I'm going to take your advice about using it daily. It worked too good to ruin this by getting addicted. Moderation is key
I use it in small doses, 800 mg once every other day. I've had no problems with addiction or anything, it's all positive. This guy was abusing it because he was taking foreground doses, that's five times more than what I take. I know people who smoke one American spirit cigarette a week and have it under control. It all depends on your personality
Taking substances will only temporarily numb emotional pain. With hard life events you really just gotta get through it and take time to grieve and heal.
It looks like any plant use to me. Do it once, effects are high. Do it all the time, effects get dull. Wait a bit without taking it, you can enjoy again.
I was very skeptical about this video going in, but you've obviously really struggled with it. A lot of people do not understand that there ARE negative effects associated with Kratom, even if there are less than most substances. Keep making great videos, man. I'm glad you were able to get off of it. Stay safe
Kratom withdrawal is nothing. I am sorry, but no. If you think kratom withdrawal is even worth taking into consideration. Compared to codeine - kratom withdrawal can't even compare to codeine.
RaffiNGO kratom is safe from dependency using one or twice a week occasionally taking a week off, I have had access to pounds for over a year and haven't gotten a dependency or withdrawals ever using in that way, it works on an opiod receptor in the brain so it can form dependency just with repeated use also risk is increased with an addictive personality. Shit is literally a magic herb for those in pain without insurance.
I myself take about 5 grams of kratom quite frequently. A couple times a week, mostly before I work as it lifts my mood and makes me more productive. I’m an advocate for kratom myself, however, it definitely isn’t for everyone and I think this video does a good job at showing this. While I can take anywhere up to 9 grams of kratom and few euphoric and fine, my friend can’t even take 4 grams without throwing up profusely. The drug affects everyone’s body differently and I think it’s important to start off with a low dosage and work your way up. I haven’t taken any kratom for about 2 weeks as I have run out and haven’t had time to go buy more, and I feel no rush to do so. I definitely don’t feel any symptoms of withdrawals, but as stated before everyone is different. I think if you are going to try kratom, do so with caution, any drug u take, no matter how natural or harmless, it’s still a drug and should be treated as such.
Carlee Morgan your experience is very similar to my own. I’ve taken Kratom for over a decade. I’ve taken it daily for the past several years. I ran out a couple of weeks ago. My vendor was restructuring their site, so I could not order any more for a couple of weeks. I could have ordered some from another vendor, I could have even bought some overpriced stuff at the gas station. I didn’t though, because I didn’t want to overpay or get a product that I wasn’t familiar with. I don’t have any experience with drug addiction, but I would think that an addict would not be able to turn down a chance to purchase their drug when it is sitting right in front of them. Maybe I’m too much of a cheapskate to be an addict... lol I won’t dare say that I didn’t want Kratom while I was out. I love what it does to make life better, but for me it wasn’t worth overpaying for or the risk of paying for a product that I wouldn’t like. As far as “withdrawal”, all I felt was my normal aching bones and joints that Kratom alleviates and the lack of an energy boost that I get from it.
Love the content. I went ham on the stuff for the last 6 months. 10 days off now. 10 miserable, obsessive, anxiety ridden days. But it’s getting better. Hope all is well
As someone that was addicted to heroin for 6 years, and is now 4 years clean, thanks to kratom, the withdrawals from heroin are unimaginably worse than any other.
Did it really get you off of gear? I wish someone would do some research on kratom. I would hate to leave my methadone clinic to go take something that doesnt work.

My ex went from being an opiate addict to kratom addict to treat his back pain (but also been a long user of such drugs recreationally), which I felt was a much better thing to make that switch (and still do), BUT, I grew so tired of him having ZERO sex drive, having temper problems (getting angry and verbally attacking me over nothing), and yes - he got his first kidney stone (which he passed). It takes him eons to take a piss, which he does sitting down because of it. He went from biking every day to work and being fit, to never biking and getting a massive gut. He gets nauseous often too, particularly when he takes the stuff on an empty stomach. I was with him for the better part of 15 years. It really sucks that a substance alone can ruin a relationship, but it did. I still love and miss him, and always will I am sure, but I can’t hang with the side effects of his habit. It’s keeping him from being himself, and I fell in love with his old self.
Multiple times most days since 2011 and when I forget to take it before heading off to work I get through my 8+ hour days just fine. A slight loss in energy but nothing to write home about. I'm open to certain people maybe having side effects from it but too many people have had the same experience I've had to pretend it's the norm. The benefit I've gotten from it outweighs the negatives for sure. It's also pretty mild in its effects for anybody who hasn't tried it and thinks it some super scary hard narcotic.
Thank you for your honesty in this video. I am wholeheartedly in support of Kratom as I am a former heroin and pill addict so I am probably a bit biased, but everything has its pros and cons and i appreciate your unbiased approach to this video.
Dudes not lying about any of this. I would wake up early with a bunch of anxiety and restless body parts. No its not as bad as real opiates, but it definitely has withdrawals. I know for me the hardest part of withdrawls is time miving so slow, and knowing I could feel a 1000 times better if I just run by the store. Ill be honest, I liked the euphoria and legal status, as Im past the point of wanting illegal drugs or pharmaceutical stuff but still want to feel like something other than myself. That is on me and my personality though and not what will happen to everyone. But honestly, unless you have severe pain or you are trying to stop illegal drug use, then you should just stay clean or go talk to someone if you felt like I did.

just be careful.i quit this year as well. it does have withdrawals when you abuse this plant but its nothing like legit opiates or other medicines. When i started having slight withdrawal when not taking it and ending up more depressed i decided to quit but it was easier for me because at that time i just found a marijuana hook up and i just smoked everyday until the withdrawals were done. the marijuana helped big time, it was like i had almost zero withdrawals except for diarrhea and a slight dissociated feeling.
Kratom has so many different strains and potencies which makes the withdrawal vary by a lot. Also people who toss n wash and don't measure have no idea how much they're really taking. Some places mix chemicals into their Kratom too, addictive stuff.
I was at over one kilo of kratom a month at one point(Up to 10-15mg a day multiple times a day). The problem with it isn't that it has any real negative effects at reasonable starting doses, but that you can easily build to ridiculous levels because of the lack of clear negative effects other than loss of potency. I think this a lot to do from not being able to discern when you're using kratom as a medication and when you're using it to get high. You probably won't build too much tolerance if you're only using kratom to combat pain, anxiety, or as a coffee like pick-me-up. The point is though at SOME point anything you put in your body will have a negative effect. It doesn't really matter what it is and at that dose I was at I was seeing serious negative effects in my mind's ability to regulate normal bodily functions. I was urinating in really bizarre frequencies and had a ridiculous sleep pattern. I also saw huge peaks and drops in energy levels for no discernible reason. The biggest effect was probably the depression though. How much that was because of the lack of sleep and weird energy I don't know, but I also felt like if I wasn't currently dosed then I would almost immediately enter withdrawal or within a couple of hours.
Frantick I take extreme high amount of 2 different pain meds daily and have for 11 years due to 2 serve injuries and I can’t have the rest of the surgeries and need as I’m allergic to the GA.. so if I wanted to try this what are your recommendations on where to buy it and how much to use
I'm going through this right now, for the second and God willing last time. Thank you for being so open and sharing facts and perspective that nobody's ready to acknowledge. I am meeting so many people who have developed health problems from longterm kratom use and I am much like you, it helped with my energy and focus until it didn't and all the while my doses just kept increasing...it's a bad road to go down and while I think kratom has some serious potential for medical use, it really needs to be studied and monitored more than it is now. It's a crapshoot what you're getting and most people aren't great at being their own doctor.

@ginosko_ via the recovery community, which I have been in and around for several years now. Before I found support in my day to day life I turned to online groups because no one was talking about it or acknowledging the downside. You gotta stay away from sites that are purely pro-kratom to get a clearer picture. Some years back when I first started to recognize these problems I had a hard time finding others who could relate or take it seriously, but as time goes on and more people learn the hard way the conversation has grown, thankfully.

I started taking Kratom on days where I felt extremely anxious and out of this world (I suffer from panic attacks, social anxiety and dissociations). It helps me a lot. I just feel so comfortable with myself. My last severe panic attack happened a pretty long time ago (I used to have them several times a week). I don't take it daily. Just on these critical days so that I can go to work and not shake all the time, feel like dying and so on... It also helps with my depression. Once again I only take it on critical days. The withdrawal symptoms you mentioned are the ones I experience daily just because of my depression. But there's days/weeks where it's even worse. Kratom helps me with keeping myself alive in these critical times (making myself food or eating in general, going to work, not hurting myself, saying at least a few words per day...). I'm so thankful, that I found out about it.
@Nic I'm in the EXACT same situation. Panic attacks suck soooo bad. I was to the point where if I didn't have any Ativan (which I rarely get), I'd actually have to leave work early. I've had bad anxiety issues, namely Social Anxiety Disorder,as far back as I can remember, and I'm in my late 30's now. Never been officially diagnosed with it,but also never been to see anyone for it either, always felt that would be in a way admitting that I'm weird or different. Now that I'm older I dont care if people think I'm weird or different, but when you're a kid or teen, what others thought about you was extremely important, especially when you have trouble fitting in. I started taking kratom for chronic pain issues but I was surprised at how much easier it is to interact with others now. It hasn't done a 180 on me or made me a bubbly, cheerful person, but it does make it a little less difficult to be around a group of people. I can definitely tell a difference, having a lot less anxiety issues now.
I second this analysis 100%. If I take a small dose once a week, its a special, somewhat euphoric experience. 2 or 3 times a week, and it makes me feel naseous and unmotivated. Truly a great alternative to pharmaceuticals, but even too much of a great thing is a bad thing. It should DEFINITELY remain legal. Period.

I love Kratom ! Unfortunately my kidneys and liver stated hurting after 7 months of it. Got so bad my back was hurting from my liver and kidneys I almost went to the hospital. I stop and in 24 hours my back started feeling much better. My hair started thinning also which sucks. So I’m stepping back from kratom for these reasons. Also I have become almost anorexic/bulimic due to Kratom. Throwing up is a huge problem with kratom. Everyone throws up on it. Then your stomach has to be empty to take it. So you basically never have food in your stomach. Gave me a shit ton of energy when I wasn’t sick or dizzy. It was a gamble every time I used it. Either I was happy and bouncing off the wall or I felt like I was dying. So it is risky. It will help you get off opioid addiction but then you left addicted to kratom. So choose your poison people. Just cold turkey go through the dying feeling for a day or two. Then start going for walks or exercise when you start mentally craving your drug. It does work if you want it to work. Lots of chicken soup and EXERCISE. Sweat that poison out and get over your addiction faster. You’re going to feel like dying the first 2-3 days. Then after your body goes through withdrawals your mental state will need help too it’s a habit so it like clockwork. You have to break that pattern with exercise or meditation. It will drive you crazy but after about 1-3 weeks the mental patterns are broken. So that’s why Exercise is important because it give you a learned new pattern. Every time you have a bad thought go outside and walk until your anxiety is back down. There will be many walks trust me. Fortunately this is a healthy pattern so now your brain is being rewired. It takes time people and you have to want it. Say and doing are two different things. Love, light, peace and harmony people. Get off all that crap and live your best life! Being high all the time makes you look stupid especially in public. It wasn’t until I was off opioids and witnessed other people on opioids and I realized how stupid I actually looked when I was on them. You don’t realize it because you’re so fucking high you think you’re floating on top of the world. In actuality people around you really do know if you’re on drugs. You look and act like it. Just telling the truth people! Get off of your pills or whatever you’re on. Then go in public find somebody else that is on something (drugs)and you’ll see what I’m talking about. You look fucking stupid and I used to look stupid too! People know! Get your life right! Your fucking up and living like cockroaches in your homes. You rather buy drugs then actually take care of your home or yourself along with your children. Wake up! Time to live the nice life with money instead of living off McDonald’s dollar sandwiches.
Handicapped Henry If you don’t mind me asking, did your hair thicken up again after quitting? I am quitting tomorrow (after several failed attempts, but I am literally flat broke until next week so I have no choice.) But, other than the Kratom breaking my bank, the hair loss has been a HUGE reason that I’m quitting. I read on Reddit that one girl’s hair regrew after quitting. That possibility is a big motivator for me to give this shit up. Thank You for your honest comment btw. ☺️
I take Kratom for anxiety. It helps a lot, not only as a social lubricant but with work. I am a freelance writer and a lot of my work is from home, in front of my computer, requiring large amounts of self-motivation and is usually quite boring. About a year ago I was in a similar situation as you, taking about three doses throughout the day. What you said about the anger resonates with me. Coming down I would snap at people, become incredibly frustrated with any minor inconvenience. As you can imagine I was a misery to sit through traffic with. I realized I was becoming more anxious after my comedowns and in the morning before I took it. I was also nursing a mounting caffeine addiction at this time by the way, which definitely contributed. Eventually. I came to the realizations it was not working and I knew I needed to get both out of my life and find a new way to treat myself that did not involve falling back on chemicals. The withdrawals were horrible, from both sides. I spent a week at one of my lowest points mental health wise as well as being completely unproductive. But coming out of that experience I explored meditation, began to notice my patterns of negative self-talk, and without a chemical to mask my disorder I discovered what my triggers for anxious thinking are. I still take Kratom, I still drink coffee. But now only a few days a week, one cup a day. It works for me, I am happy and the whole experience of stepping away from Kratom gave me a more nuanced understanding of myself and of the drug I had been building a dependency on. Just thought I would share my small story. I will always be a big advocate for Kratom, but we need an honest conversation about the drug as we do all substances. All of the pros, and all of its cons as well. Thanks for the great video.
Thank you so much for this video Adam. I'm sure all other kratom supporters really appreciate you giving the truth and reality of Kratom and it's usages. I appreciate more than anything, your unbiased views. I think that a lot of the Kratom community is fearful of it being taken away, so much so that they will do as you say "Shut down" others who say anything negatively about Kratom. I personally don't support this, but I try to be respectful and understanding of their intentions. As someone who uses this herb daily for PTSD, Severe Anxiety, and OCD; I really can't express my appreciation enough for your kind honesty towards this herb. Also, the way that you did this video was pretty comedically genius with the mentions of elephant deaths haha. You are a one of a kind soul, Much appreciated
I've never heard of Kratom but appreciate this video just the same. Things affect people in different ways so it's good to have information like this. If we were all exactly the same it would be too easy for them to control us with these "drugs"
That cycle sounds almost identical to opiates. The build up, the thought process. I've been there. I do believe this is a much safer alternative to hard opiates, but there does appear to be inherent risk. Thank you for your testimony.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciated your video! You're unbiased relating of your story was refreshing. I'm a recovering heroin addict of many years who now works as a substance abuse counselor for a treatment center and feel qualified to say that the world needs more people like you who are prepared to simply tell the unvarnished truth about their experiences with addiction. So, thank you!

That being said, I would like to say that the Kratom journey was worth it (withdrawal included), and probably saved my life!
nice bro!

I was on 3 teaspoons a day and down to 2 so far in 2 days.gonna take a break to lower tolerance, and then only use it when really stressed or have an alcohol craving.

Kratom use can be very okay long-term to treat chronic pain. I tapered regularly, and would use less than necessary on days I was not needing to function for work. Agmatine also helps a bunch to keep tolerance low.

Red Borneo helped me quit alcohol.
Kratom withdrawals are just as bad as opiate withdrawals.. although I was taking more than an ounce a day for a long time
This guy is NOT advocating a Kratom ban! He’s just saying that it CAN be addictive.
Science showed in rats it doesn't trigger the same spots in the brain that deals with addiction like pharma opioids.
Thanks!

Coming from someone who was addicted to heroin and methadone for 15 years, the withdrawals from kratom are nothing. A walk in the park, I'd take having no energy any day compared to that. I have my life back because of kratom.

Brianna Wood same here
to be honest Oxycodone withdrawal was always a lot less noticable than Codeine for me... maybe i overproduce morphine via CYP450 or whatever its called.. i say that to say this; everyones body is different. and im talking 300mg codeine daily vses 230-250mg oxycodone daily, oxy is 5x more potent Mg for Mg than Codeine. So, we are all going to react different to shit
Daily oxymorphone was the name of the game, Kratom was the way to abstain.. and still is.
Brianna Wood Yep. It's sure helped me stop what would have been a lethal-within-five-years drinking habit. I'm glad it was basically acknowledged at the end of this video that serious addicts might roll their eyes at this, because that was kind of my reaction. Haha

This is true but you should not suggest to others that something isn't addictive when it is. Not saying you do this, but that tends to be the controversy with kratom

I'm with you Zack.
forcing yourself to exercise, maybe after drinking some good coffee in the morning and doing a cold shower or a contrast shower once or twice a day will help a lot with the withdrawals, as well as eating super clean
yep, i can relate. and taking zinc, magnesium and other vitamins helps a lot. ive also tried to microdose shrooms and my withdrawals and cravings were a lot lower.

This is the most important point. Just because it has withdrawals does not mean it's a terrible drug that should be illegal. It's an incredibly safe drug to use in moderation, and extremely effective in helping people get off harder opiates.

God bless!!
Its just another drug
Not a “slave”. Better than ever.
Good luck on your journey!

Day 7 (CT)...thank god you included that bit about taking 18 days to feel right again.
I was really beginning to look outside the Kratom WDs as to wtf is going on with me, but I know I just need to keep toughing it out. The WD effects really come in waves. Yesterday and the day prior I felt absolutely great (days 5 & 6), but here we're on day 7 and I have no energy to even consider getting up out of bed. Went to the gym first thing and felt just pure lethargy. Also sick as a dog, full on head cold. But onward we go...Thank you Adam!!
how are you doing now?
For me I would say the acute withdrawals last 20-30 DAYS! Then the post acute withdrawals start...
Hell ya I thought I was the only one dosing 20+ grams a day hahah
lil herb I think there’s people who take way more than that.
Eric Ellquist is it worse than opioid withdrawal?

Kratom saved my life. Got me off opiates and then I did a slow taper with a scale reducing once a week (250 mgs at a time) until I was done. NEVER an uncomfortable moment. Something I could have NEVER done with pharmaceuticals or street opiates. KRATOM SAVES LIVES.

Glad I found this video, I was addicted to pain killers for a long time. I finally got off of them, and have been taking Kratom for the better part of 3years. I’m now to a point where I take it 4-5 6g doses daily. Everything he said in this video is entirely real and genuine. Thanks for sharing this, it’s allowed me to realize I’ve got a problem. Now I’m gonna start to wean off. It’s gonna suck but it will be worth it.
My experience mirrors his too, and so many people are in denial. My husband does not have negative side effects but has horrible wd's without it. People need to wake up and realize this CAN happen to you.

I love that you dont care what we think, like that your reports opinions and how-to's arnt influenced by wether or not people will like or accept them, its your real, un bias to your viewers preference, truth. That makes you trust worthy (not only in the information you give but in being straight up if something changes), creditable and respectable
gabrielle bock All it does is prevent him from giving objective factual information.
Alex C which strain?
I find this statement true for most of my friends and family who are daily users for 2 years now.
strain
@holywater man you gotta switch up the strains each time (besides maybe consistently using red strain for sleep) i get a kilo with four 250 gs of different strains say any white, red, yellow, and green, go through one 250g bag of and then goto the next. keeps the tolerance to each strain fairly manageable and by the time you've cycled back to a strain the tolerance is gone or greatly diminished
So it's another crutch!!
Better alternative then Alcohol... helped me quit drinking.
Loose Change9 me too man...I was destroying myself with alcohol...until I found kratom...now I'm a reliably productive member of society since turning 21...(I'm 30 now)
Do you still use a Kratom though?
Same man. Is rather have kratom withdrawals than alcoholic withdrawals.

That's alot, bro. Hairless is probably more from poor diet which also explains weight loss. Your asking your body to strain out alot already.
Kratom is the safest option to treat severe pain and insomnia issues I have, better than being a pain pill addict again

Man I have to comment again. I just wish I found this video 2 years ago. Thank you for making this video. I can't thank you enough. Desperation is a son of a gun
I don't know how people can get through the withdrawal at work. The fatigue is no joke and he's not even close to exaggerating it.
Dude...I tried to get off back in September cold turkey...that day was the worst day I ever had. I wanted to die. I worked a 9-5 back then. I’ve been 5 days clean NOW cold turkey it it’s 100x easier Becuase I don’t have any real obligations rn other than to get sober. I’m fortunate enough to live at home and I made a comfortable amount of money from crypto to sustain myself. But best of luck to you
Everytime I don’t have it and I have to go to work it’s like I have a terminal illness.
Shit I take like 10 hydro codones on my two days off. Go back to work on Monday snd I just wanna sleep
Take breaks from that shit. Withdrawal symptoms are a real thing if you take it everyday for awhile.
Lead bro look it up you might not wanna take it at all
@@justinboukis1636 Yes, it is important to take breaks from Kratom or any similar substance. Yet, the synthetic drugs prescribed by physicians are not without their drawbacks, either.
@@justinboukis1636 Anything can have withdrawal symptoms for some people. A coffee withdrawal is one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. And I have quit smoking so I should know
I started using it in 2014, I'm a 49 year old male in excellent condition, I can run 3 miles in about 27 minutes and bench just under 300 lbs. I take it almost every day multiple times. I imagine I could do a full no Kratom, no coffee, no energy drink, no pre work, no medication of any kind for a week as kind of an experiment, but after 6 years I think I would have noticed if Kratom was bad for me
My experience is almost the exact same. It makes my cardio workouts better and way more fun too.
I can bench uder 300lbs also and im 12, never tryed kratom or any drug...but congrats though!
If you feel like you can’t work without it you’re dependent on it. Lucky for you (and me), it’s like the safest drug to be dependent on
Kratom saved my life. I was in chronic pain and have used this hand in hand with CBD or cannabis.
Me too! I have Ehler-Danlos and am anaphylactic to most Opiates/Opioids and can't take NSAIDS long term.
@@good6894 I've been dosing with kratom for a few months. Trying to get off something 6-8 times stronger then morphine called Levorphanol; 14mg per day. Now cutting down from the kratom I feel like shit. Are you saying benadryl will help?? And how much? I've been using about 5grams of kratom 3x per day. Thanks, Please....
@mike hunt I've been taking it daily for a year and I'm fine and in better health then a year ago. So thanks but unless you're my medical team shove it.
@Don't worry about it I did a years worth of research before I picked it up. I also consulted my medical team. So since you all cannot say anything with out name calling this is the last you'll hear from me. Bye Felicia
Don't use it while not feeling well. Addiction will come 110%
I use it in small doses, 800 mg once every other day. I've had no problems with addiction or anything, it's all positive. This guy was abusing it because he was taking foreground doses, that's five times more than what I take. I know people who smoke one American spirit cigarette a week and have it under control. It all depends on your personality
How you’re doing man?
Taking substances will only temporarily numb emotional pain. With hard life events you really just gotta get through it and take time to grieve and heal.
It looks like any plant use to me.
Do it once, effects are high. Do it all the time, effects get dull.
Wait a bit without taking it, you can enjoy again.
i think its called tolerance
I was very skeptical about this video going in, but you've obviously really struggled with it. A lot of people do not understand that there ARE negative effects associated with Kratom, even if there are less than most substances. Keep making great videos, man. I'm glad you were able to get off of it. Stay safe
origindirewolf is it completely safe to take it 1-2 times a week (like alcohol only when going out)?
Hes not the only one, check the quittingkratom reddit
Jaiko there definitely are.
Yeah seems like proper dosage is the problem
Love the content. I went ham on the stuff for the last 6 months. 10 days off now. 10 miserable, obsessive, anxiety ridden days. But it’s getting better. Hope all is well
As someone that was addicted to heroin for 6 years, and is now 4 years clean, thanks to kratom, the withdrawals from heroin are unimaginably worse than any other.

Facts
I just watched his old video on K from 5yrs ago and now watching this. Crazy how far he’s come, good shit! Love these educational drug videos 👏🏼
Dang 🤨
Similar for us- well, me now
I took Kratom for about a 4 month period everyday. I quit for a month and experienced zero withdrawal symptoms. None at all.
Roy Ronson he's never had a real addiction to compare it to.. Lost a ton of respect for him with this sell out.. -scott
Roy Ronson I took it for a year and had no withdrawals when I stopped
Withdrawals come when you dose multiple times a day.
Not me I got all sick. Took 10mg methadone and felt better 3 days later
Thank you for your honesty in this video. I am wholeheartedly in support of Kratom as I am a former heroin and pill addict so I am probably a bit biased, but everything has its pros and cons and i appreciate your unbiased approach to this video.

@@bryanbroacosta ....very true. Like an old man wearing orthopedic shoes, I stand corrected.

@Joey Asoma so therapy is a bad idea?
Joey Asoma I have low energy and I think I'm depressed what should I do
I will take Kratom as long as it's legal I have body arthritis my body hurts so bad every day that I would have to take a strong opiate to not hurt just to have a normal day taking a couple of grams of Kratom in the morning with my coffee makes it so I can make it through the day without being in such a credible pain that all I want to do is sit in the chair and rock and cry I think I'll go with the kratom
Well yeah, if he promotes Kratom he won't get paid by ad revenue and his videos will get deleted eventually. It's been happening to a lot of videos lately.
just be careful.i quit this year as well. it does have withdrawals when you abuse this plant but its nothing like legit opiates or other medicines.

So far, running out to my truck and eating about 2-3 grams of red Bali is stopping my panic attacks almost as quickly and effectively as the Ativan. It's been an absolute godsend
@@sargkookie3118 yeah. There's different strains. "Reds" are sedative. "Green" is more of a mood booster. "White" is a stimulant I guess. I've never tried the white.
Did you dissociative disorder start from weed? Lol.
Period.
Here's the ONE thing that's made me move on quitting kratom - HAIR LOSS. I've had a LOT of people confirm the same thing has happened to them. Anybody else have this side effect? Have you stopped using kratom?? If you didnt, doesnt that mean you just use another substance to substitute for the ones you were using🤔
I love Kratom !
Handicapped Henry 💯 this! ❤️
JarediahScott you’re not asking me but it does. However, it takes about 8 months :( but it will be just as thick as it was before in time.
Lil Kim Thank You so much!! 😊 I appreciate your response. That definitely makes me hopeful.
What strand?

It’s a good drug that helps! Just DO NOT take it every day and MAKE sure you get it from good sources that lab test
Yup, there are pro kratom conspiracy theorists littering this very comments section like a plague.
Kratom contains mitragynine which is a partial mu agonist, and the mu receptor is an opioid receptor.
Absolutely true
I just wanted to say how much I appreciated your video! You're unbiased relating of your story was refreshing. I'm a recovering heroin addict of many years who now works as a substance abuse counselor for a treatment center and feel qualified to say that the world needs more people like you who are prepared to simply tell the unvarnished truth about their experiences with addiction. So, thank you!
I second that appreciation and thanks ♥
