I have the 3x3 baler that I use every year. Like you it took me a while to figure out. I put up 300 bales last year. Great size bale for sheep and goats.
@PineyGroveHomestead it does really good on auto. But you do have to adjust the weight sensor setting on the baler. Otherwise they will be too small for your liking. In auto it wraps when the beep goes off. But you can set it to only beep when you get aheavier bigger bale
This was a really cool video! I have seen these mini bailers advertised and was always curious on how well they work. Looks like it did a good job. There is always a learning curve but you got it dialed in really fast. Nice work! Take care Brad and Deb!
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate your tutorial. Very helpful and interesting. Blessings to you, your wife, family and neighbor that owns the Bailer. Stay safe and healthy. ☝🙏🙌💪🇺🇸
Thanks for the kind words. I was a little rushed due to the rain and Deb really wanted to be there, but she couldn't even open her eyes due to the hay dust allergies.
Ya might want to try lengthening the top 3rd point to raise the front up rather than the chain adjustment which still keeps the nose down. Good little machine.
Hi Brad, Nice job. I see what you mean about the learning curve. Its a little bit finicky to deal with but you got it done. We call them Tie Wraps or Cable Ties arourd here. Dan 😊
You did a great job with the little baler but I think you should try to find a bigger baler something like a 5x4 or 4x4 so you wouldn't have to stop that often and it would make it easier to stay on the wind row these are just suggestions of course but something to think about
@@PineyGroveHomestead yes I understand that but those bigger balls are too big to move Tham by hand so you would use or tractor unless you are Soper man
Nice Video. I use the Ibex TX31 twine baler from Tractor Tools Direct with Kubota L3901. I essentially experienced the same lessons learned, having used a JD346 square baler in my youth, A couple suggestions: Adjust your 3pt top link to angle the pick up upward
This is a better video than the factory version 😂😂. Interesting machine. There's also a self-propelled model. I love the wrap too. I found this video through the short of your wife stacking.
Under different conditions, this could be fun! It was just a stressful day getting it raked and baled before the rain. Hay seems to be more about timing than anything!! Thanks for watching.
Here in New England it is "zip ties", or "tie wraps". Zip tie is more common, but I don't bat an eye if someone says something different. Live and let live!
Great video. These balers cost a lot more than $5,000 new. More than $10,000 for sure, I believe they're around 11-12k. There are other less expensive brands that are just as good.
I call them zip ties. The first electrical contractor I worked for they called them Tie Wraps. Now I work in the solar industry and they call them cable ties. I use all 3 terms depending on who I’m talking to I guess.
With the loader bucket....stacked 8 and then dumped them in the pole barn. It was sprinkling, then downpouring. The bales would fall off and I would have to pick them up again. Lightning. It was a MESS....but I didn't have time to film it!! Thanks for watching.
Why min roll instead of the old square bails? I understand the big rolls that are like 20 sq bails. But it looks like you have the same draw backs with the min rolls.
Mini round balers will work on compact tractors. The mini square balers for a 25+ hp tractor cost about $25K. I paid $8K for an Ibex brand twine wrap mini baler. The mini net wrap balers are about $10K...so less than half the cost of a mini square baler for a compact tractor. I debated getting a net wrap, but prefer the twine wrap because I can use hemp twine and just throw the bale over the fence and not worry if the sheep/goats eat the twine - safe to consume and will eventually compost.
@@mycenae2 i didn't mean a min sq bailer I ment the old type of square bailer that we used for years the standard sq bailer. I had no idea that they made a min sq bailer. And the old sq bailer worked with a 1972 mf 135 pulling it 18x14x36 about 50 or so lbs the old 2 string sq bail
@tbjtbj4786 I wish I could pull a standard square baler on the Kubota L series tractor that I have, but it's just not enough tractor weight and horsepower for a standard square baler. For me, I was better off just buying a mower, rake, and baler that would work for the tractor that I have, instead of buying a larger tractor and bigger hay equipment.
@@PineyGroveHomestead eh. I guess. If a person has an inkling of mechanical ability, I would recommend an old John deere 336 baler or the like in model sizes. They just work and eat hay. I'm sure you found out. It took forever to finish that 5 acre patch.
