I noticed that as well. Fritzs coworkers seemed super negative while Dave and jeff (to a lesser extent) were supportive while still ripping on em a bit. Easy to spot the real comedians here.
Dave's a comedy savant. And Like any savant they lack social dynamics, if it weren't for that Dave would be one of the biggest comics in the world because he's certainly one of the greatest.
this is good actually. not just friendship but mental health. many comedians feel alone and desolate and get depressed traveling alone from place to place, expecting to perform divine miracles of comedy. when there's two of them, they know how to support each other and the routine becomes easier.
Can you imagine if Greg Giraldo would join them. Jeff and Greg were peerless on the roasts, and I think he would have added to the mix. Love these guys. Maybe Bill Burr?
The specials and this pairing are brilliant. But the bumping mic gimmick is very annoying and it fucks up the flow of the shows every time. With comedy this good you do not need a gimmick.

HATE this new studio setup. The guest has to hold the mics?? production has definitely lost a step. Plus Fritzy is so annoying I don't know how anyone finds him funny. His voice sounds like he has 5 towels in his mouth and if you notice Dan always puts down his opinions. I give fritz credit for doing an open mic, but IMO I wish he was not on the show.
